Re: French Grand Prix to return?
Wasn't. The French PM visited the curcuit today and apparently said that they were nearing a contract, but are still about 2 million $ apart. The French GP would be in Paul Ricard and would alternate with another venue (which one, they still don't know either),

Also somewhat off-topic: Can someone tell me, which (Australian) TV channel the V8 races from Melbourne are on? I have been searching the internet for the past hour, but somehow a just can't find an answer.

Re: BBC viewers
Hang on... I may be able to pick up ORF. I'll have to go looking for it. No adverts is, obviously, a bonus! Yes, it's on Astra. But no, this won't help you, because contrary to German channels, Austrian TV, apart from Servus, is encrypted. (sorry!) Nice. I suppose it's too much to ask for a German ...

Re: Argentine Government trying to host 2013 GP
I must confess I never imagned Argentina would be such a contentious issue... And for a sport that runs in Bahrain, China, Abu Dhabi, Spain (twice, probably), India, Hungary, and probably soon in Russia to worry that Argentina might be too risky seems a bit absurd. And that Argenina might pay millio...

Re: BBC viewers
Satellite signals can, in theory, be scrabled just like cable channels. However RTL is extremely unlikely to do that (with their SD service) because millions of Germans watch that channel via satellite - so if they chose to scramble their singnal they would lose a large part of their audience (and a...

Pathetic ramblings from BBC Director General Mark Thompson. So...you're excuse is it's better than the whole thing going to subscription TV? That's absolute f***ing nonsense! Any deal that would have seen ALL F1 coverage disappear from free-to-air would have been vetoed by FOTA and Bernie knows it....

Watkins Glen, Road America, and Laguna Seca are all great tracks. There is just one problem; they weren't designed by Herman Tilke Much as I love these tracks (and I really do), there is another problem: All of them are far off from being suited for F1, especially where runoff is concerned, and wou...
