Re: 2011 Australian Grand Prix discussion thread

It would be insane to allow them to race. The cars didn't even look remotely stable as the drivers were attempting to negotiate turns 9 and 10 today. They would get lapped countless times during the race and would just get in the way of everyone else.

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Australia!

After not seeing much of the HRT's during practice today, and then seeing them woefully attempting to negotiate the corners in Q1 without getting close to the 107% time, I think it has to be HRT ;)

Re: The Tony Stewart - Lewis Hamilton Drive-swap.

but what is perhaps more interesting is that McLaren are prepared to risk letting Hamilton take part, admittedly in a publicity stunt for their sponsors, in the wake of Kubica's rallying accident. It's just a demo drive though. I doubt he would really push the car to the absolute limit that he woul...

Re: Drivers that Would Be Rejects if they got to F1...

Laurent Rédon - Related to money, drove in F3000. Tested for Benetton in 1999, and again, if this had been the late 80s / early 90s he would've had half a season for Larrousse I'm sure. As with many other potential rejects not a disasterous driver (did well in F3, for one thing). I seem to remember...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Malaysia

Has to be Bernie for wanting a race at a time of day when it was pretty much guaranteed of torrential rain about half way through. I reckon Bernie is doing pretty well for reject of the year. First he suggests the dodgy winner takes all points system, which was subsequently dumped (hopefully it does...
