Re: Virgin MVR-02 Cosworth
If Virgin started talking about how they were trying to sign Kimi I wouldn't be surprised but would still shake my head, I'd argue they are more of a joke when HRT. Even if HRT are hardly the most professional outfit to grace the F1 grid, at least they have determination and drive to get on the grid...

Re: BBC in trouble over Canadian Grand Prix.
The Daily Mail is a vile racist piece of crap with a strong anti-BBC agenda. It's simply best to ignore it. Anyway the edition of The Antiques Roadshow wasn't even a proper episode, just a 45-minute compilation of clips. The Daily Fail does nothing but rabbit on about immigrants, Diana, house price...

Re: What happened with the 13th team
No chance in hell Prodrive are coming back, and Dallara's two podiums were thanks to massive races of attrition, something you will never find at this rate. Actually Alex Caffi qualified 3rd in Hungary in 1989, so the car wasn't THAT bad. Like I said, the car wasn't awful, but it wasn't a great car...

And nothing of value was lost.

Re: BBC in trouble over Canadian Grand Prix.
They seem to forgot something. The race MUST be shown fully by BBC. No advertisements . Jake's ipad. Eddie Jordan's tailor. David Coulthard's Red Bull plugging. No DIRECT advertising then Didn't they put a cover over that iPad after the first race it was used since you could easily see the Apple lo...

Re: BBC in trouble over Canadian Grand Prix.
Obviously, those people didn't see the excellent race we had when the SC wasn't out
there would have been more uproar if they had stopped showing the race.

Even though Mansell was my idol and one of my favourite drivers ever. I do wish he would be quiet, his ego really gets on my nerves.

Re: Most double-figure race winners in an F1 field?
Have to admit, the last few years have seen an increase in the quality of racing as well I feel, not sure if it is related to how many successful drivers there are in the field, but as I'd argue the 80's and early 90's was F1's zenith i'd say I'm rather enjoying what we are getting at the moment, we...

Re: Possible updates to "Hall of Shame"
Here's another one. "Don't Quit You're Day Job" Awarded to the driver who had a good carrer in F1, only to leave it for a rather rejectful career in another motorsport. 1. Nigel Mansell's very short lived BTCC career. 2. Kimi Raikkonen's short lived WRC career. 3. Nelson Piquet's Indy 500...

Re: Hello everyone! New members' check in desk
Hey everyone! Been a Motor Racing fan since the early 90's thanks to my Dad and Granddad getting me into F1, and was a huge Mansell and Hill fan specifically back in those days. I've visited Silverstone three times also during that time and have tried hard not to miss a race. Been following the webs...

Button - for managing to win despite time after time having to endure such horrid luck like the world was out to get him, by showing what maturity and picking the right time to overtake will reward you with (take note Lewis!) Schumacher - I don't usually root for him, but he deserved to stand on tha...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Montreal!
Either Hamilton or the Safety Car. I'm not sure what Lewis is thinking, but the way he is acting on-track with all these stupid overtaking attempts is making Senna look like a picture of serenity whenever he raced. Someone needs to give him a kick up the rear and tell him to chill out, Button showed...

Re: 2011 Canadian Grand Prix Discussion Thread
Was a fantastic race when it wasn't stopped or behind the safety car. (seriously, how over-cautuious were the stewards at times?) If Button hadn't won then I would have put Schumacher as driver of the day, can't believe I was rooting for him but he deserved a podium. Button was fantastic when it loo...
