Re: Unusual F1 Stats

Fernando Alonso remains the oldest driver on the grid this year, being 43 going on 44. The youngest driver will be Antonelli, 18 going on 19. That's an age difference of 25 years. I did a check on Schumacher, when he was in his 40s, and he was 21 years older than Jaime Alguersuari, the youngest, in ...

Since 2021, only one potential career killer in the form of last year's Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber C41 , which had Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu driving it. However, there's plenty of time for Zhou to return, and Bottas has accepted a Mercedes reserve role at the time of writing, so there's definit...

Re: Complete list of Driver Unrejectifications

No unrejectifications or moves towards unrejectification for anyone in 2024. The closest we got was Oliver Bearman's 7th place on debut. For 2025 we have six rejects : - Andrea Kimi Antonelli (debuting) - Oliver Bearman (best: 7th) - Gabriel Bortoleto (debuting) - Jack Doohan (best: 15th) - Isack Ha...

I predict that 2025 will be a close season just like 2021 with a nail-biter finish. I also expect that Verstappen will triumph at the death, either against Leclerc, Norris, or both. I also believe that it will be Verstappen's last championship, as Red Bull finally gets caught, and history plays out ...

Back to 1988 appearances in Indy, and I've found another almost candidate. Derek Daly had one 6th in Monaco in 1982, a 12th in the Indy 500 in 1985, BUT one fourth place in Le Mans (both on track and in class) in 1988. It takes until we get to 1985 before we find another Triple Crown Driver Reject i...

Strange how this rolled out nearly a week ago on Finnish and German media, but took Auto/Motorsport (a.k.a. the ones we actually trust) until the end of last night to officially confirm it. The gap between "confirmed rumours" and "confirmed" was strangely long for this story. Law...

Having a look around based on F1 drivers who have been in IndyCar in recent years. Funnily enough Max Chilton JUST avoids being in the list because of his 4th place at the 2017 Indy 500. This is a particularly fascinating one because the list is actually a lot wider than I was initially thinking: it doesn't have to be rejects in those series, just people who were rubbish at those three specific races. Anyone who's participated in and failed to get a 4, a 5-6, or a 6-6-6 in all three...

Gasly from sixth to second overall, and it really must be him as the favourite. Considering his topsy-turvy real-life season, in my opinion Magnussen would be the most confusing and funniest runner-up out of the options, and it is for that reason that I will be supporting him.

Has to be Lewis Hamilton surely, though Aston Martin going backwards all race was quite bad. The whole turn 11/12 shenanigans that led to so many penalties needs to be changed for next year too - it could decide this year's championship (though we've said that about a few things now).
