Re: Reject of the Race - Abu Dhabi
Pastor Maldonado - I found it nice to see the spirit of De Cesaris back in F1. To get penalised for ignoring blue flags is both rare, incredibly stupid and quite amusing - added colour to a largely colourless race.

The full Sky Sports treatment - What does that mean? Firework displays like they use to have at half time in the early days of their football coverage? Misogyny amongst its pundits and presenters? Gormless ex-drivers as pundits? Hairy handed presenters talking about themselves in the third person? S...

I'm fairly sure I heard him on Test Match Special (English radio cricket commentary if you don't know) giving us the county scores during the lunch interval of one of the days in the England/Sri Lanka test series. From F1 to lower league football and a 10 minute stint on TMS. At least he's found his...

Those side-wings that were around for a while in 1997/98 and which popped up again at Monaco in 2001. They were Ann Widdecombe ugly and I remember Alesi in Argentina 98 having his little side-wing destroyed by an airline in the pitlane. Unsafe and about as aesthetically pleasing as seeing your Nan n...

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but Raul Bosel? Wasn't he an F1 driver circa 1983? Boesel? 82 and 83 with March and Ligier, good choice! The only thing I ever remembered him for was he always had a butterfly on his car. I guess it was related to a sponsor but.... He was in Champ Cars in the ...

On D'Ambrosio, Timo Glock said on the BBC the Virgin team had put a full wet setup on the car. Virgin probably argued that if they had put a dry setup on the car D'Ambrosio would have been quick enough, and that in a wet race they'll have more than enough pace to justify qualifying for the race. On ...

Craig Pollock is not a guy I trust to provide with a successful and reliable product. He got given the biggest budget in F1 history at BAR, a World Champion driver and couldn't lead the team to a single point. Funny though that was and great for Minardi and for us, that should never happened. He mad...

It fills time and adds length to short answers. Formula 1 drivers and footballers are the worst for cliche ridden, uninformative answers to questions from the press.

I think AndreaModa is referring to things like football and cricket which are pre-dominantly shown on Sky , which you have to pay (I think) 30 pound a month to sign up to, or on ITV where you have simply appalling commentators and pundits. Sports coverage on the BBC is certainly not as good as it us...

Probably means he's close to buying a seat with "HRT" written on it off ebay. Not sure it means an actual race seat, HRT race drives are something I'm not sure exists. Similar to USF1 or Stefan F1 race seats.

Autosport are reporting that Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenburg will be at Force India for 2011. I second Mario's comments. Knightsbridge is the sort of place where three bedroom flats go for over a million quid, where the term "Chelsea tractor" comes from, and is filled with rich business people and rich actors and actresses. People wearing £200,000 of jewellery is no surprise at all.
