Re: The Caterham Thread
Hi chums I'm not round these parts very often but todays news has drawn me like a moth to a flame or like a reject to a DNF if you prefer. For me the big news has to be Manfredi Ravetto and not just because of his straight talking at HRT. "What Dallara delivered was a total mess," Dr Ravet...

Re: 2014 Australian Grand Prix Thread - A New Dawn?
Hello again. I've missed you F1 and F1 Rejects. I feel like I've been on a year out from F1, a gap year if you like. Now I'm not sure that I am ready to be in front of the telly at odd hours and getting excited about instillation laps just yet but that's ok because neither are the teams. Reading thi...

Re: The "stupid suggestions and how to make them work" threa
My problem with the rain thing is that it doesn't go far enough. Come on Bernie snow, hail and sleet must be on the table. Bernie and FOTA (and HRT if they can be turned to the dark side) should hold a black mass before each meeting and raise a weather demon. And then every race will be as exciting ...

Re: BBC news quoting Robert Kubica 'seriously injured'
I was thinking. By handing Heidfeld a drive to prove himself are Renault saying the car is okay but not much better than last year. Might as well stick an old peddler looking for a drive behind the wheel. We know Kubica can hustle a reasonable car on to the podium by frustrating the opposition into ...

What are they going to set up. I understand that Mike Gascoyne has an old cardboard box with some washers and a spark plug marked upgrades.
A couple of teams are have been getting on my wick lately Toro Roso and Force India I'm looking at you.

Re: How To Make F1 Better- Crazy Suggestions From YOU!
Two easy; realistic things which would GREATLY improve the spectacle; Give Kobayashi the RB6 and make him start from the pit then give Schumacher the HRT and put him on pole. Loads of overtaking at one end and blocking at the other. And make it compulsory for Eddie Jordan to only talk about things ...

Re: Annoying Things Commentators Say
"Keep it on the island" is pretty bad but I really can't stand being told that a car dumping oil on the track will "make it slippy". I think the reason Martin Brundell seems to ignore Jonathan Legard is that he only seems point out irrelevant, untrue or very very boring facts. If...

Vettel has to be ROTR not just for the incidents he caused. On every occasion when he looked like nabbing a couple of points he came up with a new incident which tossed him down the field again. Did any one else burn out a set of wets and have to pit again? So Vettel for playing Snakes and Ladders r...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Turkey!
Alonso on Petrov lap 54 was a fairly ROTR worthy incident. As were McLaren for giving team orders then pretending they didn't and Red Bull for giving team orders then pretending they didn't. But thats all motor racing. My ROTR (and maybe I'm not talking this seriously enough) is the TV coverage. Yet...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Australia!
My vote goes to the Mark Webber Stand. I'm going to be the first to admit that I have no real justification for this. This race will be remembered for all the reason that the last one will not be. Incidents ranging from crashes, failures, mistakes, weather, good/bad calls and the list could go on. S...

Re: Poll: who will be the next driver to escape Rejectdom?
Ok I'm going to be brave and say that Schumacher will be the next to escape rejectdom. Racing in a brand new team, in car with minimal testing and with no GP2 experience last year this youngster has the world at his feet if he can only hold onto the seat. Rumours are it will be Kimi, but Buemi could...

I also nominate Captain Hammer for making the worst and most biased ROTR nominations I've ever seen. You can't nominate forum members. It just leaves you wide open to flame wars. After all, I could just as easily nominate you for not checking your facts and just printing the first thing you heard a...

Re: Poll: who will be the next driver to escape Rejectdom?
Are we missing the real point here. With points being handed out left right and centre and two more races in the calendar are rejects going to become a rarity. And can I officially start the rumour that the FIA are to let USF1 back into the championship to combat that very point.

I predict that the new bridge have an outstandingly smooth style that promises dramatically speedy journey times in its early years but deliver routine disappointment only to be spotted crossing much more glamourous rivers in the South of France and Caribbean in the tabloid press. Eventually the bri...

Jensen Button is without doubt ROTR despite claiming a point. He bleated on all weekend about being competitive, having the car to do the job, getting a good start etc. He gets a grid penalty, has a dreadful start and blunders his way to a point almost chucks it away claims he will get another then ...

My ROTR is the circuit. Its not as bad Valencia but its no Monte Carlo either. If there hadn't been all the hooha last week there would be no contest. My question for 2010 is with Max, Flav, Ron all out the door there will be no distractions. On no what a hideous thought we are going to have to star...

Five Live's Holly Samos had an early shout for ROTR when she asked the Bridgestone rep "are there any special considerations for a night race"
"yes we have a special compound that has extra grip in the dark". Tongue in check.

I am a newly converted fan of the oval, since the only time we can see Indy car or Nascar in the UK is in the middle of the night and I haven't had a TV recorder for a few years. I can't suggest a track because I don't have the depth of knowledge but I have to say F1 needs to be in the US/Canada Aft...

What about BMW of loading Kubica. He's done nothing but moan about the cars since last year, can't imaging he'll be much fun to have about the garage for the next race. Lets face it Kimi is about as much fun as a cancelled holiday. Ferrari need the effervescent charm and sparkling wit of the Polish ...
