Re: F1RWRS - A computerised F1Reject series
Double-DNF AGAIN for Foxdale Auto Racing Team? And with Ben Fleet retiring from the lead after the final pitstops? ROTY, here we come! Fastest team on the grid, and reigning champions no less, unable to record a finish (at least in the first ELEVEN races) - what could beat that? ![Neutral :|](./images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif)

We have to apologise, but before the race we agreed that Shinobu would use the newest revision of parts, where as Hagane would struggle with the old ones. Hopefully next race he can score some points.

Don't fancy a drive at Foxdale then, eh? If we ever sort out the reliability, you'll be eating your words - fastest car on the grid and all that...

Autosport wrote:HRT to hire John Zimmer as pay driver
Autosport can reveal plans that, starting from the next race at Akrotiri Bay, the Holden F1RWRS Racing Team will hire John Zimmer as a pay driver. "We have already stopped development on the 2013 car," said team principal Mark Skaife. "However, we are running low on funds, and now that most of the teams have discovered some reliability, our place in the constructors' standings is under severe danger." It is believed that Zimmer will replace Ashley Watkinson at the next race, with a major reshuffle to occur in the next few races. Watkinson, it seems, will race for HRT's "B"-team Garry Rogers Motorsport, alongside Frank Zimmer. Nathan Scott, who, apart from a solid fourth at Spa, has not impressed so far, will drive for Team Calinetic, in John Zimmer's vacated spot. "Our plan is to simply bolster our funds for next season, so as to have a car that is both reliable and quick," said Skaife. It is also understood that Watkinson will also be replaced at Shanghai and Interlagos, while Zimmer will replace Davies at Macau and Autopolis. "I've really given any hope of the championship now," said Davies, who has just lost second in the standings for the first time since Bathurst. "The car simply isn't quick enough, and apart from Interlagos and Shanghai, I haven't raced at any of these tracks before, so I don't have much hope. We saw how I wrecked my race because I hadn't learned Estoril well enough!"

CHRIS DAGNALL REFUSES TO LEND NATHAN SCOTT TO CALINETIC
[...]Nathan´s contract says it very clearly; he´s under contract for GRM until the end of the season, and he´s done it well so far... I mean, what can you expect from a rookie? His race at Zandvoort was ruined because of poor reliability when the truth is he would have scored a podium there. If Garry Rogers doesn´t want him, we´ll have to take measures. Nathan is not going to learn anything by going into pre-qualifying anyway, he´s there because he´s learning the tracks as next year will probably be Mark´s team-mate. Yeah, you heard it here first. I´m going to retire and Nathan is my driver and I want him in a championship winning car. He´s not going anywhere else but GRM.

Prince Falik recently came out and said "I have been the guest of Arrowtech these last few races and I think me and the Fox are close to an agreement where I will buy 50% of the team and run and own 80% of the the Junior team.", when questioned on the rumours of his approaching Mark Dagnall, he said "I refute these rumours that I have approached Mark [Dagnall], I have only asked him a few questions, we may have talked money but nothing else, it would be a honour for Mark to drive for us and I think next year we mmay have an attractive package.", although it is unlikely that Chris Dagnall would release Mark. On rumours that he would give Daniel Melrose the boot, "Melrose contract expires this year, and I think any team would look around before confirming contracts.". There are still question marks over Prince Faliks money, although it has been confirmed that he has paid in advance for the chassis and engine for the F2R series. We wait of the the foxes comments...
FAT quiet on merger rumours
Although Kamaha racing have said they are open to merging with the FAT turbo racing team, Dave McFaste has been very quite on telling the press what his plans are, although FAT pre qualified well, they qualified well down and both cars retired, with Dave McFastes 6th being the only high point of the season, although he was heartbroken when his car retred when he was leading.

GRM driver Frank Zimmer has called for Nathan Scott to be sacked, after comments from Chris Dagnall suggesting that Scott was only at GRM to learn the tracks and replace him at Dagnall Engineering next year. "It's a disgrace," said Zimmer. "Why not just run him in practice sessions? Because this way, he'll still stink in the first half of the year." It seems that GRM are even willing to get rid of him, after they apparently spoke to their test driver Poppy Whitechapel about driving at Team Calinetic, to continue the plans of HRT and GRM.

Nathan Scott to move to Calinetic?
Apparently previous rants from Chris Dagnall to GRM owners will come to nothing as Nathan Scott was seen today eating some fish & chips near Calinetic´s factory. We asked the cottage owner if he had heard anything and he quotes Nathan Scott saying; "Those chaps at Calinetic are fun! I actually like that bubbles livery". It´s rumoured that he was there to mould a new seat for him as he´ll try to qualify the car in Cyprus next weekend. Chris Dagnall, Nathan Scott manager, would be receiving an extra 10,000$ per race from GRM to release Scott from his contract. We tried to contact him but Dagnall was playing golf with Nigel Mansell somewhere in Scotland and we were refused entry in the club house with our Adidas trainers.

An obscure motoring magazine wrote:Simpson to retire at end of year?
Rumours that Prospec driver Dave Simpson is retiring at the end of the season are growing ever stronger, especially after a dismal performance for the Prospec team in Portugal, where neither Simpson or teammate Gary Cameron qualified for the race. Another reason for this rumour is the fact that he has started his own team for the new F2RWRS series. Simpson was unavailable for comment at Estoril, as the Prospec team had already packed up and gone by the time our reporter sobered up.
This is a cool spot.

ArrowTech driver Daniel Melrose has said he is open to what he is doing for next season. "The people at ArrowTech are a great bunch of guys but with rumours circling about that Mark Dagnall might be joining the team and Martins wanting to keep his seat it means that I have to keep my options open for 2014." said the 28 year old. "Obviously MRT is where the home is but we have two top line drivers in Nathanael and Phillippe and it would be grossly unfair if I were to return next season and replace either of them as they are both doing a fine job considering the subpar manchinery they've been given to work with." When asked about the F2RWRS Melrose said "WIth the regulations for the series as they are with no updates allowed by teams except for the development work done by Lola and BMW there is no conflict of interest in me driving the interim car as it is purely development work. I can tell you now that for the next test at Imola we will be putting a new gearbox in the car along with new suspension components and we will still be focusing on short runs."

Prince Falik made a public statement when he appeared on celebrity "Deal or No Deal" when asked to open his box, he said "Hey, The Fox, yes, yes, I have my western union.. er I mean, Bank draft made out to you, I hope you say 'Deal' to me.", before opening the box to reveal 1 penny. A shocked Noel Edmonds, quickly said "Well I hope she says yes to you.", before Prince Faliks microphone was turned off.
A day later, when Prince Falik was a guest on Question Time, during a debate on student loans, he said "I do feel that students, do need to learn the value of money, in my country, we scrimp and save and try to learn the great ways, yes, yes, it is something The Fox could learn, I have a huge safe of money with your name on it, just tell me part of ArrowTech is mine.", David Dimbleby said "Hang on a minute, did you not go to Cambridge university paid for by your father the King of Dikwa?", Prince Falik promptly had a stomach ache and was rushed to a expensive hospital in Chelsea.
The next night, a quite drunk Prince Falik was outside the offices of ArrowTech design in Oxford, slurring into the security cameras "Hey... Fa.. Fa... Fa... Fox, I luvs you man, yes, yes, I have a bottle of 20.... year old ilah scotch in one hand, and a cheque for a loads of money in the other, and I wants to.. to... to..... to give it to you man. I wants half of ArrowTech man...", before an aide quickly took him away before the police arrived.
The Fox has been pretty quiet, and maybe he does have a much better deal lined up for his 50%, although the current market conditions and the mediocre showing that ArrowTech have given, it would be a surprise to us if anyone apart from Prince Malik did the deal.
FAT chance of a glint of SUNSHINE?
Dave McFaste has been pretty quiet in the news front, an insider for Sunshine has said that an agreement has been struck where for the next three races, Hagane Shizuka and Saeed Al Faisal will swap seats, the deal is said to allow Saeed Al Faisal to race for a top team that can score podiums and for Sunshine to earn money to help reliability. Dave McFaste has been battling illness and has be unlucky not to score more then 1 point and has said he would like to merge his team with another rather then to sell the family silver.

Autosport wrote:HALF OF ARROWTECH SOLD TO PRINCE FALIK
According to the local sources, The Fox has sold half of ArrowTech to Prince Falik from Nigeria. The Fox quoted "I couldn't reject his offer, he's a very nice guy." This means that Prince Falik has control over the sponsorship and making sure the upgrades goes as planned, while The Fox still has control over the driver management and buying the chassis and the engine in the pre-season. The Fox also released a press statement saying that Daniel Martins and Daniel Melrose have been offered to race for 2014, if they choose to race for ArrowTech next season. "The only way we can make progress is to keep going with what we have, but that is up to the drivers themselves. They've both been wonderful this season; who else would I get for next season?"
To avoid confusion, "sponsorship" means how the car will look. Falik controls that, and decides how the credits are going to be spent over the season. This is, of course, effective as of the 2014 season.
Question, how many credits does ArrowTech have as of right now?

F1RWRS Council happy to have non-championship races
The F1RWRS Council has issued an statement to confirm that they´re under negotiations to hold a couple of non-championship races, however, the statement says "races are never happening before the Brazilian GP", "We need races happening in-between the seasons, but not during the season and as far as we´re concerned the Brazilian GP is part of the season itself. They´re for charity purposes and it will give us extra time to end negotiations with our technical partners regarding the authorized list of engines and chassis available for the 2014 season"

Hagane Shizuka will race for FAT Turbo Racing.
FAT Turbo Racing will cease to be in Japan, it's car, name, chassis, engine and pay driver Saeed Al Faisal will merge with Kamaha, how you sort out team name, chassis and engine, is a matter for you and Superaguri.
I shall retire after the race that is before the Japanese GP.

Who Is To Drive For Tropico Grand Prix?
With the former CR Motorsport team to become Tropico Grand Prix by the end of the year, it remains to be seen who will get a cockpit with the "new" team. El Presidente has not been available for a comment on this matter and most members of his groups of experts aren't even known. Chances are that Darren Older Jr. is to remain with the team, if only because of the money he brings. However, Tropico Grand Prix is rumored to look into experienced drivers for 2014. While unemployed experienced drivers are not too common, they are not extint either.
Off-Topic: This is an employment ad, so, if you have a driver without a job, here might be one. Also with the race on "my" track coming up, would you like a rough description of the circuit for knowing what to expect?

As you hear, I am pushing the engine to the absolute limit and the g-forces are pushing me in my seat. 2.5 kilometers on this start-finish straight, no braking point in sight. You take the first corner with only slightly reduced speed, sort of like an oval, one gear down or not depends on your gear ratio. Now we push again on a shorter straight part before we approach the chicane, very much like that first one in Monza. You want to take the chicane as directly as possible, however, watch out because you could either run out of track or take too much out of your tires. One more time, you push hard before coming to the slower almost-hairpin, Turn three. This is difficult, because this slower part goes against the usual setup of the car, challenging the driver and being a possible cause of errors - not for me, obviously, but for other drivers. Once you have left that part behind you again push your engine to the absolute limit, you hear the rev-limiter? You need to setup your car with the lowest downforce settings, perhaps the lowest wings and the longest gear ratios on the entire calender. Whoever has the fastest engines will win this race - if the engine can handle the stress of spending more than 80 % of the lap in full throttle. Now we cross the finish line... this was one lap on the circuit, thanks for watching!

RACE
Mann gets the lead at the start. At the first corner, John Zimmer clashes with Melrose, who hits Steele and sends him out of control. Zimmer and Steele are out instantly. Lon hits Pratchett, and Jones eats Pratchett car in the process and then disaster comes with Watkinson, Martins and Moll joining the party... So the red flag is deployed for a 2nd start after the carnage... Here you go some pics from the accident:

At the 2nd start, Fleet gets the lead. At the back, Simpson hits Mori out of the race, but luckily this time that´s the only accident. Chris Dagnall does a bad start and falls to 9th place.

On lap 2 Katayama passes Al Faisal, de Bock passes Lon but Lon quickly takes his position back and Chris Dagnall passes Hiang Hao. On lap 3 Mann gets the lead, only to retire two hundred meters later. Hiang Hao retires three laps later. Chris Dagnall is the only one to contribute to the show passing Lon on lap 8. Watkinson suffers an electric problem and has to pit. Falling to dead last.
Lap 10 situation:

On lap 16 Chris Dagnall passes de Bock for 5th.
Lap 21 situation:
![Image](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Aerond/Gp2/F1RWRS2013/12_Mediterranean/L21.jpg)
Then, before the stops (everybody going for one stop this time), a retirement galore comes from Steele, Lon and Moll. Al Faisal and Chris Dagnall are the first to pit. Mark Dagnall is the last man to pit on lap 31, one lap after Ben Fleet retires with smoke coming out of his Foxdale once again!
![Image](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Aerond/Gp2/F1RWRS2013/12_Mediterranean/L30.jpg)
Al Faisal retires as Mark Dagnall enters the pitlane, the young british is just 23 laps to secure the championship... but he retires coming out of the pitlane. The retirements galore keeps on as Respati, Katayama, de Bock and Rhys Davies retire in the space of two laps.
Lap 40:
![Image](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Aerond/Gp2/F1RWRS2013/12_Mediterranean/L40.jpg)
From there to the end, the race is just about watching who makes it to the finish; Melrose, Jones, Pratchett and McFaste fail to do so and Chris Dagnall wins his first race of the season, followed by the Zimmer brothers!

Re: F1RWRS - A computerised F1Reject series
Has there been any qualifying session where so many teams have had their drivers lining up next to each other?
Barii Mori wrote:Disappointed to be so far down the grid, although I noticed that we are the highest qualifying of the original F1RWRS teams that still exist. I am looking forward to sticking the HART engine in the back of our nimble chassis, hopefully get us into the top ten. Although we were one of the slowest cars through the speed trap, we got through the tight twisty parts a lot quicker then even the Foxdales. I can see us being lapped a few times but if we can keep the engine going to the end then we will get a point or two.
Shinji Zanmai wrote:So we line up behind the Foxdales again, very impressed by Saeed Al Faisal, jumped straight in the car and got through free practice, er I mean pre qualifying and was the only other driver apart from Douglas Mann to get within a second of the pole time of Ben Fleet. I can see a number of teams wanting to sign him up for next season, Kamaha better do the right thing. We will drive a steady race and hopefully score some much needed points, I think we have enough points to get out of prequalifying for next year.

After an absolutley dismal year in the F1RWRS, Shock Of The Lightning Motorsport has announced it's intention to leave the series come the end of the season. The team, which has failed to break out of pre-qualifying at every race this year, has just lost it's sponsorship deal with Big Brother Recordings, the record label of Oasis, and with both Damon Cannon and Richie White moving to the rival Formula One championship, will be left without any drivers and sponsors. A spokesman for the team stated to us
"We signed up for the series under the previous regulations. When the series was completely revamped for this year, it left us in the lurch, and we haven't been able to adapt to them. The drivers and sponsors have become frustrated at the lack of progress and track time. We have thus decided to pull out of the series at the end of the year and sell our entry to another team, who will hopefully be far more prepared than we were".
Note: I haven't really been following the F1RWRS much recently, and I did prefer the old way in which it was run.

I seem to be immediately on par with Dave. Sweet, I still helped the team through prequalifying. Let's see if we can finish this race.

Been a bit busy recently! Time for a catch up!
Sammy Jones wrote:I'm absolutely delighted with the way the team's been running recently, we've been consistently scoring points although I'm disappointed to have missed out on a podium at the last race in Estoril. Hopefully we'll go just as well in the race in Cyprus, although my qualifying was plagued with reliability issues but I have better hopes for the race. As far as the championship is concerned, we're looking strong in the constructors title and I'm hoping with continued good results we can take 3rd place which would really establish us as an F1RWRS front-runner after such a good season in 2012. Both myself and Kay in the drivers title are fairly comfortable, obviously with no chance of the championship, we're simply looking to get the best result at the end of the year that we can. Elsewhere I've expressed my interest in establishing a junior team in the F2RWRS should any of the other entries either pull out or look into a merger. It would be great to see if we can nurture some new talent to bring into this premier series of motorsport.

Now that's what I call a very Noah's Ark qualifying grid.

Foxdale Auto Racing Team Press Release
Another domination in pre-qualifying, another domination in qualifying, probably end up with another double-DNF in the race. Anybody care to swap places with us? All this performance is worth nothing without a finish. Goodness knows how many races we could have won if only we could finish... *sighs*
F1RWRS ROTY here we come... Reckon we've already done enough to win this?

Re: F1RWRS - A computerised F1Reject series
Since after Cyprus there are just 4 races left I think it's time to start ROTY and IIDOTY. For ROTR I nominate:
QANTAS MRT: The team started off with two new drivers and a radical car which the team hoped would take them back to the top. Instead the team has lurched from disaster to disaster. From Phillippe's embarrassing retirement in Adelaide to the many times where the team had at least one car on the side of the track (usually on fire) to both cars out before the first corner at Estoril to the double DNQ at Cyprus. The chassis was decent but the power plant BMW gave the team was simply gutless which meant the car struggled pretty much everywhere. To top it all off as it stands the team is destined for pre-qualifying in 2014.

Neither Melrose, Arrowtech or MRT were available for comment.

Autosport wrote:Silly season in full swing
The season is hardly over and already rumours for the 2014 season are flowing thick and fast, here at autosport we have listed the 5 rumours we think might happen.
Saeed Al Faisal to sign for Dagnall?
Talented pay driver Al Faisal, is rumoured to be unhappy with the FAT and Kamaha merger, he has said privately that the deal is bad as Kamaha do get the lions share of the deal with keeping their base, management team and engineering department with FAT giving them the engine deal and some members of staff that do not want redudancy. He was offered the team, but declined as he did not want another season of pre qualifying and with so many teams fighting to be in qualifying proper, he felt that the team would be better off ceasing to exist so that the smaller teams had a chance. He has a contract with the Kamaha FAT team but is looking at his options first. He does require a manager and has been seen talking to Chris Dagnall who has branched into driver management. Chris Dagnall is a cert for dead beat team mate of the year with 6 pathetic points to his sons championship winning points total and is rumoured that he will retire to concentrate on running the team and driver management, so the rumour is that Al Faisal will soon sign for the 2014 season.
Daniel Melrose to get 3 race ban and 3 months in prison?

Mark Dagnall close to signing for Arrowtech?
Prince Falik was seem once again chatting in depth with Mark Dagnall, it is known that Prince Falik wants to bring the talented young driver to the Arrowtech team and is offering to put up all the wage demands that Mark has to join the team, with rumours that the Prince is offering to pay twice the amount that Dagnall engineering are offering. Although, Chris Dagnall was seem ripping up the various pieces of paper that Prince Falik was putting in front of Mark.
It´s a pity... SOTL is one of my favourite F1RWRS teams... and I was already thinking of a Pretty Green (Liam Gallagher´s clothing brand) livery for the 2014 season!!!!

Although unofficially, Dagnall has already confirmed Mark Dagnall and Nathan Scott as Dagnall drivers for next year...
