Horizon bought the engine from MRT, not from the manufacturer for an extra 50 credits over the list price. Therefore isn't the resale value 150, not 125, or am I missing something here?

EDIT: Yes, I am trying to bend the rules to breaking point for that extra advantage, because I can.

That would be arguable if Horizon and MRT owners were different people, but since it´s you fighting for a miserable couple of credits, it is not.

EDIT: Keep it up like this and you may gain those credits through the ROTY award 8-)

Okay then, Jones Racing reveals it's hand.

Firstly I'm going to apologise to JeremyMcLean, because sorry bro, but I'm gonna have to sneak that Minardi M197 from under your nose.

So here's how things should stack up if I've worked them out correctly.

Jones Racing starts off with 595 credits.

I sell the Zakspeed 891 chassis back, which at half price gives me an additional 112.5 credits (but we'll call it 112).

That gives me a total of 707 credits and a Ford HBD VI engine.

With those 707 credits I purchase the Minardi M197 chassis for 600 credits, leaving me with 107 left over to redistribute later in the year.

So to confirm:
Chassis: Minardi M197//3000//5//9//770//600
Engine: Ford HBD VI//680//4000//750//600
And 107 credits change

Bueno? :D

The Fox is not pleased...

Anyways,

So regarding the news from Jones Racing the sale of the Brabham BT60B is now off, but the engine, the Ford HB IV is now on sale for 550 credits. I will haggle but not very much. And this time, I'm not telling anyone what I intend to buy!! :P

EDIT - It's all right, I've got another good plan...

I do apologise, I initially wanted the Jordan 191, but I couldn't manage it whilst keeping my engine, the Minardi M197 was the next best, sorry. :|

Aerond : Do Kamaha credits already have the credits from the sale of FATs chassis and engine? As I think I should have over 650 credits?

Also the reliabitly points, although GP2edit does allow it to be between 0-32767, it does seem that it should be be between 0-16383, with any thing higher then 16384 resulting in weird results. Would you consider halfing the reliabilty points to reflect this (source : http://grandprix2.de/gp2forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=755 and se second post).

Alright, American Racing Conglomerate will sell the Ford HB IV engine for 525 credits. This leaves them with 865 credits, which will be used to buy the Ford HBD VI engine for 600 credits. This leaves us with 265 credits, which will be used for next year.

What, a team can sell it's engine for the price amount? (So let's say an engine costed 500 credits, if I sell that, I get 500 credits back)

Right. Hope I've got this right...

Option 1:

Chassis - Tyrrell 021 - 500 credits
Engine - Ford DFR V8 - 350 credits

Option 2:

Chassis - Zakspeed 861 - 550 credits
Engine - Judd CV - 300 credits

Chassis to be renamed MAR-001, Engine name kept the same.

Both options leave me with 150 credits which I will either use all on spee if we're crap in pre-qualifying.

Jeremy : No, Tristan did not read the rules, when you sell an engine (or chassis) back you only get Half the credits back unless you manage to flog it to another team then you can ask what you want for it.

Meh, I want to get rid of that engine! OK, with the 445 credits still left with ArrowTech, we will sell the Ford HB IV (value 525 credits) for the mandatory half price at 262.5 credits, with a total of 707.5 credits total. Then we'll buy the Peugeot A7 for 650 credits leaving us with 57.5 credits, which are to be spent at a later date.

ArrowTech will be keeping the Brabham BT60B unless we get a smashing deal for it. Please correct me if I've made any math errors.

Aerond, I direct you to this post.

That means:

HRT:
DALLARA F190 // 8000 // 5 // 4 // 740 // 400 (so I'm selling the Onyx)
PORSCHE V12 // 655 // 4000 // 690 // 500

GRM:
FOMET F1 // 9000 // 3 // 6 // 690 // 325
PORSCHE V12 // 655 // 4000 // 690 // 500

Both engines will be rebadged as HSV again.

If I also have 1000 credits, I'd choose:
TYRRELL 021 - FORD HB I

Ilmor is less reliable and I'd build around reliability first, changed my mind.

Slots still available? I will join the new teams bid then:

CHASSIS: ZAKSPEED 861 (550) I was going to use 021 until AdrianSutil was using it.
ENGINE: FORD COSWORTH DFZ (350)

(OP said new teams get 1000 credits)

And here we go:
I am selling both Dallara chassis to HRT that move gives me 200 additional credits.
My a budget of 400 credits which allows me to purchase the following:
LOLA T93 // 11000 // 3 // 8 // 730 // 300
My budget after Purchaing Chassis of 100 Credits

That is wrong; Please read the rules. Chassises and engines are sold for HALF the price you bought them. You can´t add credits to drivers who haven´t raced and Klon already got a penalty for that.

Don´t worry about this. As in the carset I´m using I reduce the reliability value to a 50% to meet Gp2 standards. I already had this in count. As for Kamaha credits, remember Kamaha would only get Half of the credits FAT would have after selling back the chassis and engine, and that they aren´t entitled to the 200 credits for TV Rights which are only available to teams which keep on, so in the end it wasn´t that many credits coming from FAT as their Prize money wasn´t very high.

That wasn´t done during market time so HRT can´t have the Dallara chassis until Dofasco oficially sells it. Please wait until this is done correctly and then grab the Dallara.

Can I join in too as a team boss (the new teams bid, that is)?

Name of the team: Iberia Racing Team

Chassis: LOLA T93 (300)
Engine: JUDD GV10 (550) (I believe one is still available)

I will invest the rest of the credits on reliability (chassis) (about 150 credits if I am not mistaken).

Is this ok?

Afraid it is not. Phoenix has 400 Cr., if you sell your engine it would for 175, so you´d have 575 to spend on a new engine.
