Your Reject Of The Race - Brazil

Post by Londoner »

The obvious mention is Captain Hammer. Twice in a row he has been AWOL

Virgin are the current candidates. Outqualified by both HRTs...

This is probably the best time to start assessing who's having a poor weekend, even if it still 24 hours before the race...

ROTQ? The lack of rain. The lack of drivers to go faster than the Finger. The lack of Barrichellos in the top-10.

It has to be Virgin - Locking out the back row, slower than both HRTs is embarrassing.

ROTQ goes to Petrov for qualifying 15th... or maybe Massa for qualifying 7th for no good reason...

I think Pastor is saving his tyres. If everyone else prepares for a wet race tomorrow, but it turns out to be dry, he'll be a step ahead of the rest, as he was saving tyres, while the rest of the grid seemed to use their tyres quite a bit more than normal in qualifying today. If it rains, though, his idea is ROTR worthy though.

Yes, that is definitely a hit or miss strategy. However, in order to make good use of it, he will need not only a good pitstop strategy, but also a fast car as well to at least have a shot of scoring a point.

If it will actually rain, there will be his tyres sitting in his side of the garage for nothing and that alone will be a ROTR nomination

The thing is, after he went out of Q1 he was talking to the reporters and indicated that he was running a set up slightly more biased towards wet conditions (he mentioned that he was using a different rear wing configuration to Rubens). Maldonado was also complaining that the balance of the car was amiss on the soft tyres yesterday, so it looks more like his position is because he was struggling for pace and not strategic.

For qualifying , I nominate all the weather forecasters who said it was going to rain any moment. :)

I think if Pastors doing that tactic surely its due to the fact its the last race of the season and he wants to end on a high....i feel sorry for Pastor because on the half offit he should have way more points then just 1...and on the other hand hes been an idiot...doing very silly immature things that we kinda dont even expect to see in a rookies first year specially crashing into Hamilton in Spa.

But as for ROTR - Virgin....i think they maybe getting slower...and slower.

Why are people nominating Virgin? I for one am not surprised HRT are beating them. Whilst HRT have got their heads down and got on with it, Virgin seem to be looking for an excuse. It's all well and good blaming the fail that was CFD, but their own lack of development is their own doing. Well done to HRT. I'm not going to vote for Virgin because they DESERVE to be at the back.

I'm thinking of gearboxes at the moment.

It robbed us of a Hamilton/Massa battle, and also gave Webber a slightly unjust lead. Not to mention that there were simply a large number of them.

Virgin's pit crew. There's been plenty of times where a tyre comes off by not being attached properly, but I'm quite sure this is the first time the pit crew actually saw the wheel come off as the car pulled away.

c) unable to do proper pitstops.

The stewards for penalizing Senna for no good reason at all - it was purely a racing incident. Oh, and Virgin's pit crew deserves a mention as well.

The Reverend gets my nomination, for being the only driver in the race to bin it.

Potential nomination to the stewards, if Massa is penalized for celebrating...

The first collision was a racing incident, but then Senna was so busy waving has arm that there was a second one, which punctured Schumacher's tyre and ruined his race. Well deserved penalty for me.

I'll say Virgin for three wheels on Glock's wagon.

I didn't see what happened to Glock. But if the car actually pulled out of the pitbox with 3 wheels, it's the award for them. Honourable mention to Maldonado, for facing the wrong way in the barrier at a place that easier to make the corner then crash.

The weather forecasters must have be Virgins at the job beacause it was just Virgin on the ridiculous how many times rain was predicted, yet the weekend remains a rain Virgin.

Oh, and did you see a nomination for Virgin in there too? No? Should have been more obvious...

Hey, at least d'Ambrosio outraced Ricciardo and was ahead of Liuzzi before he retired! I'll go with the stewards for penalizing Senna (that was Massa-India style harsh), the weatherman, and Brundle who claimed that this was Lewis' first retirement since Singapore last year; actually it was Belgium when he CRASHED into Kobayashi. The time before that was Canada when he CRASHED into Button. Then you have Singapore. I'm sorry, but I for one won't be unhappy to see Brundle bugger off to a bigger pay-package at Sky next year. With Charlie Cox and Watty in the booth, we'd have no more "Vettel with 1 'l' there David" or "he's going faster...and...he says 14th". GOOD RIDDANCE¬

Back on topic, it was nice to see a return of unreliability too shake things up for a change. Why are people nominating gearboxes?

With regards to the brundle error. He actually clarified that it was mecanical retirements, not crashes.

Not to sure who should be rotr, I think the Brazilian triumverate As they were lack lustre at best today. Barrichello was ok In a crap car senna made rookie errors and Massa once again proved he is not good enough to be in a top3 car.

Also everyone praying for rain, showing forcasts every couple of minutes. As brundle said, when it starts to rain then talk about it.

Honourable mention to Drs. I hate that f@#King system!!!
