They (MRT) are simply way faster in qualifying, we´ll have to wait for the race, though.

So how does that explain your teammate's pace? (Particularly compared to last year!)

Sammy Jones wrote:Once again, I'm delighted that we've collected another podium, and also got both cars in the top 10. Daniel's driven another excellent race to keep himself right in the hunt at the front of the pack, however whilst I had an entertaining battle with the Prospec drivers for much of the race, I feel disappointed that, as before, my poor qualifying has really prevented me from finishing in a better position. If I can just find some extra speed over one lap in the car, I think I can be a regular challenger for the points, as Daniel has been. The reliability issues that we had last year seem to have been sorted with the CJR-103, though we'll wait till the 4th race before bringing any updates to the car. I think overall, we can be very happy with our start to the year!
MA-Racing: Early days bring solid performances
Mitie Aviation Racing have now competed at two events, but whilst neither driver has managed to break the pre-qualifying duck, the team remain positive. "We do have updates coming to the car soon, although how much there are remains to be seen", said team leader Valsattis. Ending the Bathurst session in the top 10 shows promise, but until we get more speed out of the car, I can't see either myself or Alexey qualifying."
Team boss Mr.Alexander also seemed positive about the teams pace. "Looking at the final qualifying times, Matthias was only a second away from making the grid had he got through pre-qualifying, so we know the car is good. Updates are on the way soon, plus a driver change to help boost finances."
Who this driver is remains to be seen, but the strong rumour is David Neuberg might be promoted as he brings heavy sponsorship from Drubnik. "David has been good for the junior team so far, but he is currently out 'on loan', so won't be available for a few races yet."

Daniel Melrose wrote:I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is my 11th season in the premier open wheeler categories of the world and this is one of the easiest cars to drive I've ever had the privilege of driving. Hopefully if I keep this level of performance up and the car remains reliable I can pick up the pieces which the leaders leave behind if they keep stuffing up like they do and I can remain in the hunt for the championship.
Speaking of said leaders I'm going to have a talk with Nathanel after the race. From what I've heard he had a puncture heading into Skyline which pitched him into the wall and we are talking to Michelin about it but even so we want him to try and control himself on track. We all know he's incredibly quick and we know he can win but he just needs to calm down and let his natural talent flow. BMW also lost another engine in the back of Phillippe's car and the guys in the workshop at Cologne are trying to figure out what the problem was.

Oh, an interview? *clears throat* On the race? Yeah, I'm very pleased with the result, I couldn't believe it myself, it proves that we've obviously got a great car, and he's absolutely fantastic, Ron has been putting together quite a show for us!Wow, who do I congratulate first??
I really don't quite know what to say next, now if you'll excuse me, there's my manager waiting... why I didn't qualify for a race yet? Bah, I'll figure the car out soon enough! Be thankful Ron figured out the car quickly... Yes, Dave? What do you mean I've got to race faster? I'm driving the car as fast as I bloody well can! I don't get why Ron mastered the car out already... what do you mean the cameras are still rolling?I'm talking as quietly as I ca... oh I see. Yes, what do you want? Say my sponsors? Well, fine then. I've first got to thank the people at the San Marino Lottery, then blah blah blah blah

Wouldn't you if you went from winning the F1RWRS' biggest race to fighting for dead last in pre-qualifying in less than 2 years?

In one off-season, Foxdale have gone from poles and challenging for wins (reliability permitting!) to a DNQ and a totally-off-the-pace DNF...
