Whitechapel to be promoted?
Rumours have recently been spread that Garry Rogers Motorsport driver Poppy Whitechapel may be promoted to a seat at the Holden Racing Team, in place of Ashley Watkinson. Whitechapel has impressed recently, outqualifying not just her vastly more experienced teammate in Frank Zimmer, but both three-time F1 world champion Rhys Davies and Watkinson, winner of the first ever F1RWRS race, in their HRTs, and staying ahead of all three during the race, until all eventually retired. It is believed that HRT are not entirely happy with Watkinson's qualifying performances this year, and despite scoring their first points of the year at Adelaide, hasn't finished a race since.

Holden F1RWRS Racing Team team principal Mark Skaife said after the US GP at Long Beach that he was considering his driving options for 2015. Rumours recently spread about Ashley Watkinson being sacked from the team, and this is the first time they have been addressed. "I am considering my options for the next season," said Skaife. "Rhys [Davies] already has a contract for next year, but Ashley is still trying to negotiate." When asked who Skaife might consider for the drive, he said, "I am seriously considering Daniel Melrose. He and Rhys are good friends already, and I'm sure that friendly rivalry would help bring in the results. I would also consider Nathanael Spencer or Jack Christopherson, both of whom are immensely experienced.

In other words, Watkinson will probably leave at the end of the year, unless he doesn't start finishing races, in which case HRT's impatience will step in.

GRM to sue Fleet
Gary Rogers Motorsport is reported to be entering legal processes in order to sue Ben Fleet. Apparently, it will be a similar case to what Kahama Racing launched against Kay Lon at the beginning of last year - when Lon was accused of not trying at all when he drove for them in the opening 4 races of the year. A source within the team says that Fleet is accused of almost not even bothering to race other cars, after qualifying a brilliant 7th at Interlagos in Brasilia. Fleet dropped back at a rate of knots in the race, before eventually retiring. Our source said that the team was mystified, because there were no car problems and teammate Frank Zimmer wasn't losing time anywhere near as fast.

Fantastic race for he team. We got the car ready for the race, and it almost came perfectly. Who said it was a fluke result? I didn't hear that.

It's fantastic I finally got to qualify for the race. However, we didn't score points today, probably because Ron's wheel fell off shortly after a pitstop. Very strange, but we must find a way for the wheel to stick on right next time and move on. Now where is that crazy glue...

Excellent day today, Mirko finally got some points today. Daniel wasn't as quick but it was a tight street circuit, so he had to be a bit cautious. Now we have just as many points as that Acura team or whatever they're called...

BTW Aerond, Mignolet to my knowledge has 3 points, not 2.

I was flat out all race but I simply couldn't produce the simply jaw dropping pace Steele had in that Kamaha and full credit to him for getting that podium but rest assured that next time I'll try even harder to extract the maximum out of the car.

Well Bosevic made the best of a bad job and score some points whilst that monkey Martins could only manage 10th or to put it another way 2nd last, or to put it another way one place in front of a car that is in prequalifying. It is unacceptable, I hope the Fox uses the money I bring in to make the car faster for these blind one armed monkeys.

Well congratulations to Steele for another podium, I am very pleased with him, although we feel that the MRT and DGN cars have illegal aids on the car, although we can't prove anything. We are going places, although someone is likely to pipe up that we will not score another point all season now that we are on 14. I got caught up in the clash at the back during the start and damaged the car so I am pleased with 8th considering I was losing over half a second a lap at least. Our aim is to become the 3rd best team this season, Jones has no chance.

We are sad to announce that we have parted ways with principal Shinji Zanmai, chief aerodynamist Josh Jenkins, head mechanic Philipe Van Host, head engineer Taki Toshio and race engineer Satoshi Nikko. We thank them for all their hard work over the years and wish them the best of luck in their new careers. We are currently working out terms of the sale of Sunshine Infiniti to the DPT group and should announce something by the next race.

We are pleased to announce Josh Jenkins and Taki Toshio will be joining Scuderia Alitalia at the end of 2014. We are looking to increase the depth of our staff, and these additions will benefit us in the long term. For now, Jenkins and Toshio are on enforced gardening leave from Sunshine Infiniti, and are therefore unavailable for comment until said leave expires on 1 January 2015. However, we are looking to enter negotiations with Sunshine Infiniti to explore the possibility of them joining us on a consultancy basis before the end of the season, to aid development of our preperations for F1RWRS in 2015.

Will Zimmer EVER get around to sorting out that issue with the Brazilian authorities? I mean, it's only an outstanding arrest warrant for arson because you (fittingly so really) burnt that miserable excuse of a car that was the Honda RA-108

Consortium in conversations for a Sunshine deal.

The same consortium that was rumoured to buy Team Phoenix until it was confirmed that the team was not willing to sell neither the team or the entry appears now to be in advanced contacts for taking over the sunshine operation. In exclusive inside information we can now confirm that Matchbox is part of the group. This appears to match recent informations that Matchbox was looking to enter a racing series in order to promote their toy cars. Who Matchbox aligned themselves with is still a secret though...

Pippa Mann has recently decided that, if Jack Christopherson has not been able to score points by the end of round 8, then the Foxdale car is not good enough for him and he will have to make space for a paydriver, so the car can be improved for the end of the season.

"Monaco specialist" Simpson looking for one-off drive.
Former full time F1RWRS driver Dave Simpson has recently stated his desire to race at Monaco in a recent interview, and is hoping on securing a last minute deal to race. Simpson was the winner of the very wet 2010 F1 Monaco GP, substituting for Jarno Trulli in the Lotus. With the strong chance of rain this weekend, Simpson, also considered a wet-weather specialist, could be a dark horse for the race if he's in the right car.

F1RWRS COMMISSION ANNOUNCES NEW ENGINE GUIDELINES FOR 2015 ONWARDS.

The F1RWRS have announced today a series of guidelines for engine manufacturers in order to make the series more equal among all its teams. The statement reads as follows:

"... an engine will be able to be developed to a maximum output of 810 bhp. We think that, under the current engine regulations, engine manufacturers won´t come up with engines which are more powerful than 760 bhp at the factory, which means teams will have space for growth but with limits. We´re confident manufacturers will put out very competitive new engines into the market, so most of the new engines will develop more than 700 bhp from the beggining. Of course, current non-turbo engines will be kept in the market shall the manufacturers want to.
Another thing it will change is the Price estructure, from next year, chassis and engine manufacturers will be able to oscillate the prices from year to year to be able to cope better with the demand"

The last sentence means I will reestructure a bit the prices for next year. Most of the prices won´t change, but some will, so some teams could see their chassis/engines are worth something else... or they could see their belongings devaluated. This is needed for me to introduce new chassis/engines at a correct price while keeping a varied price estructure.

Scuderia Alitalia reveals 2015 F1RWRS prototype

Scuderia Alitalia have released the first images of the car they hope to enter in next season's F1RWRS, the SA-1/15.

"This is just more proof we are a serious team, who would be a competitive and valuable addition to the F1RWRS grid," said team principal Alasdair Lindsay. "We have prepared everything well in advance. Therefore, just like in F3RWRS, we should be competitive immediately from the start. Did I mention we won Race 2 in our debut F3RWRS weekend, starting 2 rounds after everyone else? Yeah, we're that good. I'd like to see MRT manage that!!!"

Simpson to drive for MRT

MRT Owner Daniel Melrose has signed on good friend and Monaco specialist Dave Simpson for a one-off drive in place of Phillippe Nicolas for the Monaco Grand Prix. While Melrose, a close friend of Simpson, was unavailable for comment, he was overheard coming out of the MRT motor home on his way to watching Free Practice for the F2RWRS saying it was "the hardest decision of his career deciding who he was going to move aside for Dave"

To put it simply, Simpson will get a one-off for MRT in Monaco before Nicolas returns for the rest of the year.

Collin Pratchett Claims Favoritism at ARC

After an awful start to the year, tension is brewing at American Racing Conglomerate. Between ARC's management under scrutiny and Jesus Plaza getting Reject of the Race, ARC is in complete chaos. Now, Collin Pratchett has come out in the press and claimed that ARC is favoring Plaza.

"It's quite obvious, really. I have done everything I could for the team and I think that it is about time that someone pays attention to me. Plaza's being treated like some sort of golden boy because he got us out of pre-qualifying. At this rate, we'll be back in pre-qualifying again. Also, the car is awful and I question the decision to change engines and not upgrade the car at all."
