I'd happily take Barnet or Queen of the South. Two of the most fantastically named teams I've come across.

Airdrie Utd, less so. Knowing FM though I'll end up with them.

You were on the bench and never came on, the only player to to come off the bench was Steve Marlet, Berne still won 3-2.

I was going to make a mocking remark about how crap they are (I should know, they're one of my local teams), but, to be fair, they did produce James McArthur and James McCarthy. Who are now both at Wigan.

Slightly off topic, but F1 rejects related:

Instead of adorning a constantly lapped F1 team's cars, Richard Branson's aimless PR has now pointed due North, having bought out Northern Rock, they have taken over their sponsorship of Newcastle United FC, some photos of Branson in a Newcastle shirt would be bad enough to be mentioned about rather than seen, but someone had to say it, the first time his company was seen on the shirts was in the 3-0 victory over Manchester United.

Transer Update:

Ed Kevin's proposed move to Scunthorpe HAS gone through, however through reasons best known to the FM Database he is joining them in the Summer of 2008, so thats a year of waiting ahead for the Right Back.

There was a Gretna scout at Dunfermline's last game, rumours to be looking at signing Andrew Spokes.

Other News:

Ron Mignolet scored in the 4th round of the Belgian cup, his team RAAL scored 5 goals against SPA.

Alasdair Lindsay was booked but was man of the match in Young Boys Berne 2-1 win over Swiss League favourites Basel.

Unfortunately for "the fox" it is now the North American off-season for Soccer, which means he's exhausted, he may not get onto the pitch, but HOPEFULLY he will be up to full fitness for the American Samoa match later.

Live Updates here:

Pre Match, anthems and ceremonial exchanges on the centre circle...

Match Odds:

Vanuatu Win: 13-2
Andorra Win: 2-5(Fav)
Draw: 11-4

3:55 - GOAL! Johannes Rydzek heads in a chip from Ron Mignolet. 1-0 Vanuatu. Alisdair Lindsay with a vital through ball for Ron to cross.

8:28 - Goal for Andorra, Cano scoring from outside the Penalty area after some well worked posession play from the Andorran Midfielders. 1-1.

32 Minutes - Alasdair Lindsay has to be replaced, he was involved in a 50-50 collision with Garcia Moreno.

Half Time whistle is blown

Players return to the pitch, except for the first goalscorer, he's been replaced by Chris Dagnall.

46:58 - Andorra have a corner, its cleared by the Vanuatu defensive line, however a long shot from outside the D fires its way towards goal from the Andorran #3 Marc Bernaus, which is quickly blocked by Kay Lon in goal, another corner for Andorra, which is then cleared by Axeman Einarsson.

51:19 - Chris Dagnall collects a poorly kicked clearance from the Andorran GK Manuel Linares, only for his long shot to be deflected clear by the same person.

60:38 - GOAL FOR VANUATU!!! Lilly with the build up play outside Andorra's penalty area, neat pass to Dagnall who attempts a shot but with 3 Defenders blocking him it bounces back to Lilly who fires in from 16 yards! 2-1 Vanuatu.

73 Minutes - More Vanuatu substitutions, Ed Kevin looks tired and is replaced by Andrew Spokes, not naturally a Right Back, but is capable, David McFaste has had a quiet game, is walking off in favour of Daniel Martins, and also the tired legs of Gordon Moss are put to rest, on comes Thomas De Bock.

82:07 - Ceballos has a long shot from distance which doesnt disturb the Vanuatu net in any way, Andorra's shots in the second half have not been threatening Kay Lon as much as was expected.

84:21 - Axeman Einarrson performs the most agressive attempt at getting the ball, just outside the Vanuatu penalty area, Free Kick Given in favour of Andorra, Einarrson is booked, this fires the Vanuatu substitute bench into Action , The Fox will come on in favour of the Booked Captain. Einarsson flings the captains armband in Andrew Spokes' direction.

85th Minute - Goal for Andorra, the free kick is chipped in by Carlos Ortega, Headed in by Ruiz Bonilla, 2-2.

90th Minute - 4th official holds up a bit of cardboard with the number 4 on it.

94th minutes - not a lot happens in the final 4 minutes of the game, 2-2, lots of shook hands, lots of swapped shirts, with both teams feeling they should have won the game.

Post Match Analysis (Podcasttonight.com): Andorra's Manager has no right to be happy with his side after this draw in my opinion, the travelling Andorran supporters expected a comfortable victory over Vanuatu today and they can be justly disappointed with the result.

Vanuatu Physio Report: Alasdair Lindsay will be out for about 3 weeks with a twisted knee. This means he wont be able to play against American Samoa.
