I was on holidays for a week, otherwise I would have posted here just after the Alitalia rumours were posted.

And would you decided to drive for Alitalia or not if you had the chance to decide? :P

It's a little too late for that innit? He's already qualified :P

Plus, if Dave Simpson does up and leave I'll sue him into the ground for putting my team into an impossible situation with the F1RWRS commission. I need two drivers, I've used up my quota, hence creating a paradox where I can't hire any replacement drivers despite the fact I'm required to run two drivers.

The only way to avoid said lawsuit is to somehow persuade ARC & DGNgineering that Mestolio should return to Trueba with Simpson heading to ARC.

I guess in case of running a 5th driver you would be fined with something in the 50 to 100cr region.

As Top Gear have already terminated their contract with it, Team Phoenix have had no choice but to replace it after the French Grand Prix. Luckily for team boss Phoenix McAllister however, a new Stig from the Top Gear Farm just outside Gloucester has been lined up for the drive. Neither McAllister or the Top Gear producers were available for comment.

I could always make up some sensationalist story from none other than the Generic Times (i.e. the dodgiest news publication in the world that the F1RWRS exists in) to try to get Simpson out of the team, but I wont do that (unless I have your permission).

I think you cannot recover the chat now... But I can tell you that Martins retired with yet another mechanical failure and Bosevic scored a point in 6th (I think...) There were only 8 finishers.

EDIT: By the way, Douglas Mann took a shocking win! ;) And Katayama scored a second place for new Sunshine (which is the old, but that is an uninteresting detail...)

Similar to me. I'm getting up at 6.30 and got 1.5 hours commuting for my uni placement (which I am enjoying and have for another 3 weeks, before returning to lectures thereafter).

I am surprised Phoenix McAllister was not also warned or punished by the F1RWRS commission considering the part he played in the golf cart débâcle...he was the one who stole it in the first place after all :D

For those who didn't see the race; Kay Lon, Phoenix McAllister and Alasdair Lindsay all headed for the Sunshine motorhome mid-race after hearing they had an open bar. The trio predictably became completely wasted. While Kay Lon lay on the ground only semi-concious, McAllister and Lindsay looked around the paddock until they found an unattended golf buggy and stole it. They subsequently went back to pick up Lon, then drove down the paddock inviting every other driver aboard. All except Barii Mori and Dave Simpson declined, as McAllister (who was driving, with Lindsay shouting pointless and random 'pace notes') tried to enter the racetrack to, and I quote, "win this race!". They failed, so McAllister duly drove the buggy into a lake. Mori, Lindsay, Simpson and McAllister swam back to land but noticed Lon was too passed out to get out, so Phoenix dived back in and dragged his sorry ass back to dry land.

Needless to say Alcoholics Anonymous will be setting up a racing branch very soon...

Sammy Jones wrote:Disappointed that I've had a retirement after the win in Monaco, especially with it being such a high attrition race once again, but the fact that Daniel has put the car on the podium, and most of the other main teams not scoring has really elevated us in the constructors' championship. If we can maintain this kind of consistent form every weekend, then I feel we'll have a good chance come the end of the season at finishing higher than we expected only a few races earlier. We just need to focus on trying to improve the cars so that we can both finish the races and collect even more points. Yet again our qualifying let us down, and had that been better we might have been celebrating an even better result, but as it is another podium is a good result, and we're certainly happy with that as we prepare for our home race. I'll be hoping for another Monaco-esque performance from myself there that's for sure!

By the way, what happened to Lon? I almost feel a bit bad having kicked him out of my team last year, it seems the Sunshine is sending him a bit mad...maybe we could all club together and buy the kid a place in a mental hospital perhaps?

MA-Racing make their debut, but it ends early.

David Neuberg continued his impressive performances by lining up for the French Grand Prix today, in an impressive 20th place. But sadly for the team, their weekend ended on lap 6 with gearbox failure. Still, the team will be delighted their hard work has finally seen them take a race start.
"Its a shame to be out of the race so early, but the experience the team have taken can only be a good thing", said David. Team boss Mr.Alexander was also disappointed by the early retirement. "For sure, we wouldve liked to see David finish the race. Even a good handful of laps wouldve helped us. But we're confident we will make the grid again."

Aerond: You do know Neuberg is supposed to be a pay-driver? It's just he's been spanking Valsattis and I didn't think pay-drivers would be better than a normal driver.

I can 'loan' you either Stephen Mackintosh or Alexey Pchelintsev for 6 races if you want? I'm keeping Neuberg and Valsattis together until at least round 13. Both are regular drivers, and Mackintosh has had 60 credits spent on his qualifying performance. I don't know if he keeps that driving for another team or not.

Oi!!! What the hell are wrong with my drivers?! I would have been willing to lend you Nobushige Fukuda if you hadn't been such a cheeky arsemonkey about it...

Autosport wrote:Watkinson sacked by HRT
After an accident at the recent French GP which has left HRT with a large repair bill, Mark Skaife announced that Watkinson's contract had been terminated. "He is a good driver, but is just too accident prone. We could have been a strong contender for second in the constructors' last year, but he crashed too much early. Now, it's the same. We spoke to Ashley before the race, but he didn't respond," said Skaife. This means that HRT now need a new driver, but are unsure of who to hire. The likely candidates are promoting Poppy Whitechapel, who currently drives for GRM, or bringing in Tommy Nash from the F2RWRS. When asked, Skaife said "Poppy will most likely remain at GRM, because it is obviously the faster car and that's where she's already performed well this year. Tommy will probably be given the full season in F2, as will Jason [Hamilton]. We are looking at hiring a pay driver, one who brings more money to the team than he'll cost in damages."

Any volunteers? They don't have to be a pay driver, and I don't want to bring John Zimmer back.

And no kostas, I won't take any Scuderia Alitalia drivers. :P

Tristan Jung is looming. Collin Pratchett could come out of retirement. Johannes Rueckert is available. Heck, the only driver that won't drive for HRT is Rusty Gannit.

Yet another rumour has been entered in the mill, Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport are supposedly interested in signing Steven Mackintosh as a test driver from 2015 onwards. The Brit was supposedly offered a two year-contract with a clause that allows him to leave anytime a Formula 1 team or a Top 15 F1RWRS team requests his services.

Apparentely this offer is based on the fear that Micko Glotch might not be able to get his F1RWRS license in time which is why the Tropican team is looking at possible other drivers who already have such a license but would be able to bring sponsorship in copious amounts as well.

I would like to remind everyone interested in her services that Du Lei has become available as a F1RWRS driver from the Belgian Grand Prix onwards.
