Aerond, can you tell me the whole status of Sunshine? Updates made and credits available?

Du Lei will most likely be given a ride at Prospec, if she wants it, in the Asian rounds at least.

It makes me cry a little every time I see Prospec's slowly diminishing stats on the teams' wiki page with every new DNF and DNQ and DNPQ, they're like the F1RWRS equivalent of Williams!

Phoenix McAllister wrote:Regarding that unfortunate episody at Paul Ricard, I have to go out and say it was not as big as journalists are making it. Yes, everyone was drunk - and I mean everyone who had retired, including Mark Dagnall, who brough with him a gigantic can of Monster Energy Drink to mix with the alcohol. Yes, I stole a cart and tried to make my way back to the track, but there was no one, not even track workers, to stop me. But I'd say it's nothing every elite racing driver wouldn't do. In fact, the only material damage left was the cart I threw into the pond, and I've already paid for it. It was great fun, and after the race we went and rented a go-kart track to organize a race while we were still drunk and it was great fun too. But I got the message - overdrinking is not right. It won't happen again, I promise. For me and for everyone involved except for Alasdair Lindsay, who will no doubt press on.

Do you mean that Kay Lon will be left without contract at Sunshine, hired to lead the renaissance of Prospec, ending up overseeing a first mediocre season followed by a disastrous season and then dumped out of the sport altogether in favour of a dubiously talented pay-driver? (This assuming Senna takes over the seat at Williams)

The first season wasn't mediocre: if we ignore 2007 - which we safely can because most of Williams' major points where pretty much Alexander Wurz survival festivals - it was the best season since BMW left.

True, but looking at 2012's results, I think the rot was setting in then, despite the two wins. And anyway, Prospec still had a fairly good first half of 2013 before it all went downhill. Not that I'm in any way attributing this to you!

Ah yes, but everybody had a clean slate in 2013, and a 'proper' team owner with no other teams may have been able to make better decisions... Then again, if it had been me maybe not

The US State of Hawaii has officially launched a bid to host the F1RWRS United States Grand Prix in the future. While Long Beach's current contract lasts until 2019, the Mexican Grand Prix is allegedly under financial threat despite having one of the largest crowds for the entire year and having local hero Jesus Plaza driving for the ARC team. "Our tourism industry has been flagging in recent years but the F1RWRS is just the ticket to help kickstart the Hawaiian tourism industry back into high-gear." Said acting Hawaiian Governor Brian Schatz. While no official announcment has been made for a planned route, speculation is that the likely venue would be a 6.5km street circuit in downtown Honolulu.

Mackintosh to Tropico?
With the silly season in full swing, even pre-qualifiers Mitie Aviation are involved. Tropico have made an offer to Mitie to take Stephen Mackintosh for 2015, offering the Brit a test-driver role. Whilst nothing has yet been heard from Mackintosh himself, it's believed Mitie are waiting from a word back about HRT and their recent driver changes. Both Mackintosh and Pchelintsev have been offered to HRT to fill a temporary gap, which may be changed into a fulltime drive should HRT decide to take up Mitie's offer. Mr.Alexander confirmed the rumours, "As soon as we hear from HRT, we will contact Tropico. Either way, it looks like Stephen may be leaving."

Trueba Alitalia submits injunction against MRT
Scuderia Trueba Alitalia has applied for an injunction to stop Melrose Racing Team acquiring the accounts of Castrol Jones Racing. MRT had made the application on the basis of an informal agreement, however Alitalia has moved to block their request.
"Why should they get the advantage of seeing their rival's accouting information while no other team knows?" said Alasdair Lindsay, team principal. "I don't think it should be available to anyone. CJR can manage without this interference. MRT already screwed the system once, I don't see why they should be trusted with such sensitive information."
"My understand is Mr Jones is currently unavailable to fulfil his role for a short period of time. This does not give reason to just hand over a huge quantity of sensitive data to a rival team."
"If the F1RWRS Commission accepts MRT's request we will initiate a lawsuit against them. I hope they see sense and realise this is not a good idea."

I swear it's only a matter of time before Mr Lindsey snaps and kills everyone in the paddock now
Honestly though if I get the information, all I'm gonna do is calculate the performance difference between the MRT car and the Jones Racing car with my knowledge of how I THINK GP2's performance file works and feed this information back to AndreaModa when he gets back and to anyone else who wants it (Rhys, I'm looking at you)![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Anyway, we will obviously honour our agreement with the previous owner and I guarantee that Infiniti's name will stay until the end of the season. As for the other sponsors we are in contact with them and showing them how serious we are about Sunshine. As I mentioned in our presentation conference, we are happy to welcome them on board". Mr Lagos also mentioned last race events by responding to those who held Sunshine responsible for having an open bar and commented on Kay Lon's misfortunes. "I think it is bollocks. Sunshine cannot be held responsible for whatever other folks did on Sunday. Yes, we had an open bar, but that is not illegal and we didn't forced anyone to go there. What's more, I thought Kay Lon's warning handed by F1RWRS was harsh given that it Lon was sleeping before being taken by Mr McAllister for that infamous cart ride. But I am sure Lon have already put that behind his back and is going to be fully focused in the next race. I also want to give a praise word for Katayama. She drove brilliantly to an amazing 2nd place and I think she deserves more attention to her talent". MA-Racing: Home race nerves.
Mr.Alexander was clearly on edge today when talking to journalists inside the MA-Racing development centre. "Ive just come down to see how our upgrades are coming, and it looks like they should be on the car in the next few races, which is good. However, with the British GP around the corner, the lads are all working as hard as possible to try and get one car on the grid. I'd love to see either David or Matthias start the race at Brands Hatch, as we've given away nearly 3'000 free tickets to our fans to watch us at 'home'."
