Prospec confirm Torbani signing for China and Surfers

Pemberton Prospec Racing have today confirmed the expansion of their F3RWRS effort to a three car entry from the Chinese round onwards. The English team, currently leading both championships, will field a third car #39 for Italian Massimiliano (Max) Torbani, who was released from his contract with MA-Junior Racing earlier this week after being replaced by Ashley Lilly. Prospec were also reported to be interested in Joao Antonio Soares, but the Portuguese remains under contract with Porto Wine Motorsport.

Lon's still the youngest at 18 and 10 months or something like that when he entered the first ever F1RWRS race in 2010.

Hydook takes over Ecurie Albertini
It was rumoured to happen, but the official confirmation was announced today. From 2015 on, a new team - unofficially known as Hydook Junior Team - will fill Ecurie Albertini slot.
Croatian racing team takes over Albertinis' assets after Albertini Construzioni Navali was struck by old debts. After taking over Albertini Siderurgia GP in Street Racing League, Anton Bosevic decided to buy into another team of Monegasque family.
Ecurie Albertini will cease its operations after Surfers Superprix, where they will run an extra car for Turkish driver, Colin Peynirci.

Hydook Junior Team considers signing one of the F3RWRS Academy proteges for their 2015 campaign.

Crikey this is confusing!

So let me try and get this straight:

With Hawkin and Swerts in the F2RWRS, how many replacement drivers do I need for Belgium? Is it possible for Hawkin to double up and do both series that weekend? As far as I can tell, Swerts moved up for the Hungary race, so should still be with Jones for Belgium, meaning I'd have an unchanged line-up. Correct?

As Kostas pointed out, with Hawkin looking good in the drivers' championship I'd like to keep him in the F3RWRS at all costs, so if that means missing the F2RWRS race at the time of the Surfers race then so be it. Originally my plan was, having subbed for Seron at Gillet, Hawkin would remain with Jones Racing in the F3RWRS for the rest of the year. It's my own fault I didn't get it sorted before I disappeared, but it's no big deal, as long as Hawkin drives in the remaining F3RWRS races this year, I have no problem.

Hawkin would have to be subbed for the Canadian Grand Prix and Indy 100 - the last two F2RWRS events of the season. Swerts can't race in Canada either due to 'date clashes' between it & Surfers. However, should Kremnicky recover from injury by the Canadian Grand Prix, that could give us the opportunity to run Glotch for the last two rounds, or Kremnicky if AMR decide to retain Glotch instead.
And, as much as you may not like it, I have yet more drivers who can step in :lol:

(Nobushige Fukuda and Stefan Kuntz. The rest are all at Surfers.)

This is as wide a list of valid candidates as I could think of;
Miko Fäkkinen
Matthias Valsattis
Jean-Luc Schiller (this one might change though, depends how many times he qualifies before Canada arrives)

Todd Cockburn
Dan BH (If you can find him & no-one else hires him in F1RWRS this season)

Francois Albertini
Giconi Okorie

I can't remember how many F1RWRS starts are allowed (It's either 5 or 10, the above is based on the latter). If it is 5, Kerr and Dan BH are no longer eligible.

Well, kostas, you're wrong, because it's 1, and it's only an entry. Therefore, precisely none of those are available.

Swerts doesn't need to be replaced at Belgium because his F2RWRS start was in Hungary. If you're fine with Hawkin doing double duty at Spa, fine, less work for me. However, for him to race at Surfers, obviously he can't race in Canada at the same time. He also needs to miss another F2RWRS race to still be eligible, because his 10th start (which would rule him out) will be in Spain. There's nothing that says he can't do Indy though.

And China I believe won't clash, so it's simple there.

Swerts could do Spain but I doubt you're going to be able to find an F3RWRS driver free for the F2RWRS Canadian GP. You might be forced into bringing Du Lei back into the team...

Unless of course you wouldn't mind Enrico Molinaro taking his place. He is an F3RWRS driver, but I don't know if he's any good yet as the crashfest at the Norisring neutralised him all weekend.

From less than a minute to getting close to three, quite a change isn't it? Simpson managed to get a hang of the track better than his older cousin ever did, and Swerts is desperate to repeat Hawkin's success by getting into the F2RWRS. Recent rumours of promotion for Alessandro Lucarelli has spurred on Gianluigi Pazzini, who beat his teammate by almost two seconds (I wanted to point this out because Pazzini is the better driver here).

Swerts did a fine job of holding up Cameron and Hawkin early, but on lap 5, with Simpson having already bolted, he had a moment at Eau Rouge and was a sitting duck down the straight. He is under investigation though for forcing Cameron almost onto the grass in an effort to help out Hawkin, but it didn't work. From there the two tried valiantly to catch Simpson, but it was just too late. Pazzini took fifth, unable to catch Swerts, and Greenlaw has recovered extremely well to take some points. As for the retirements, Team Asia's weekend was done before the first lap was done. Naufal got hung out to dry at La Source, while Lee-Wang's suspension let go at Pouhon. All the other DNFs were at La Source, by simply missing the braking zone. Passonen and Ezerioha did it at virtually the same time.

4 laps isn't a very long distance, but their was plenty of action all around the place. Lilly had a horrific start, but a very brave move at La Source saw him gain all of that back, and take the lead. Crescenzi was also a good source of entertainment, passing three slower cars at Eau Rouge on lap 2. Lamberigts and Jimenez learned that cars don't go two wide into Blanchimont at all, while Sokolov went kamikaze on Austin and Pazzini. Good pit work from Alitalia ensured that Pazzini will make race 3, while the other two aren't so lucky. Larsen made a simple error at the chicane, seconds after Lamberigts went out, and Reyna-Sanchez went into the wall at La Source moments later as well. Then there was the epic race long battle between Harmsky, Greenlaw and Zimmer, with all three showing some of the best driving skills I've seen this year. Katayama picked up a suspension problem, but rather than pull over she fought to make a start in race 3, holding up Hawkin badly. In fact, she even punted off McAllister at one point.

After the chaos had settled, it was Lilly, Crescenzi and Albertini on the podium, followed by Mondlane on debut, Walsh and Hallenstien, scoring Red Bull Jagermeister's first point.

He, wizzie, about the whole Jimenez thing: despite being too crap to allow him to get his Reject License you can keep him at JLD for the rest of the season (and perhaps beyond)... on one condition. :twisted:
