The fact is, we could have had a serious accident, and the F3RWRS commission seem happy to turn a blind eye. He should have been penalised immediately after the first race, preferably disqualified, but because he got to keep his 4th place, it now means he gets to start on pole for Race 3. It's a disgrace, he should have been banned from the rest of this weekend, but if not, he should be suspended for China for sure. After all, there is a precedent for that now.
I was going to do a post about this after race 1 but it slipped my mind.
The stewards decided that while a move was deliberately made, no contact was made, Cameron didn't end up on the grass, and he got the position anyway, and wasn't passed by Hawkin. As a result, Swerts will receive a reprimand for dangerous driving, but no further action will be taken, unless Swerts repeats the incident.
When is the Surfers Superprix relative to the current round taking place, and will it clash with an F1RWRS round?

It might clash with Macau but I'm not sure. And remember that all F1RWRS drivers past and present are ineligible for F3RWRS in case you had forgotten...

I know that. No, the reason I ask is that I am wondering whether I can use one of my new drivers that I have entered for the Superprix (Martin McFry and Eff One) as a replacement for Christopherson/his replacement after the Superprix?

Whilst the Tropico F3RWRS Council considered getting Renaldo Jimenez from JLD Motorsport back, the team understandably resisted our effort because Jimenez, being Tropican, is their most successful driver by far.

As far as the number goes, I'll be taking the "150".

Semi Off-Topic for a minute and I still honestly have no idea why van Nieuwenhuijzen is being taken to the cleaners by just about everyone because the performance file is as follows:
First Driver=20,hansuke shioya,15800,200,16050,600 Second Driver=21,bastiaan nieuwenhuijzen,16000,700,16100,600
In theory, this means that he should be faster than Shioya on a consistent basis but something's crapped itself in GP4 which I can't find the root cause of because Shioya's performance has been fine.

Actually, his qualifying range is 600. One of the strange characteristics of GP4 performance files is that race performance comes before qualifying performance.

Cameron went for the adventurous no refuel strategy that Walsh and Pitea used at Laguna Seca, and made it pay off here. OK, so by the pit stop phase on laps 4-6, he was second anyway, which made his drive seem all the better. The result means that Cameron loses the round to Simpson by one point, thanks to Simpson's pole at the start of the weekend. Further back, King did an excellent job of being a mobile roadblock, meaning 7 cars finished within less than a second. The only DNF was Molinaro, who was the poor sod who got to pit last in the Scuderia Alitalia stable, running out of fuel just as he got to Blanchimont.

I hope you are discarding the save file for the 2014 championship for 2015 and starting fresh (with the old performance files). Perhaps next year with those values he will do a bit better.

TMLW, I think I found a few mistakes in the points standings: Cameron has 63, not 61. Kazama should have 45 and not 44, Katayama 24 and not 23 and Crescenzi 12 and not 10.
Also, you've Pazzini below Walsh in the standings, despite him having more points

I acknowledge the mistakes with Cameron and Crescenzi (simply me failing to count), and Katayama (my spreadsheet had Kazama with fastest lap in race 1 at Brands Hatch), but I can't figure out where Kazama gets an extra point from.
I also seem to have made mistakes with Prospec's, Christopherson's and Falik's team scores, but I've fixed those.
(In my defence, I go back to school tomorrow, which means my brain has essentially closed up shop for the rest of the year.)

Debeutant Ashley Lilly took the win in race 2 at Spa this weekend, despite no-one expecting it! "It was totally against the run of play", said a delighted Lilly. "Ive only sat in the car twice before the weekend and neither myself or the team expected us to win here. I'm just delighted for everyone we could do it." Nor only have Ashley and MA-Junior shot up the standings, but Ashley has now collected his superlicence for next year, making him only the second driver in the F3RWRS to qualify for one after just one race. "We're delighted for Ashley for obtaining his superlicence so quickly. I had a gut feeling he would prove to be a shrewd signing, but I didn't expect a race win at the first weekend. The kids got talent."

We look forward to having Max Torbani join us for the rest of the season. He is a really promising talent, if a little raw, and should be a real help to us in our quest to secure both championships.

The team's performance this weekend, was overall a good one. Swerts is starting to come into his own now, whilst Hawkin had a more difficult weekend, he's suffered badly with slower cars in both race 2 and 3. Nevertheless, both are ably demonstrating their abilities, particularly Hawkin who will dovetail both F3RWRS with a seat at Scuderia Jones Italia in the F2RWRS for the remainder of the year.

Hopefully I can do something about that, but with only two rounds left, I'm not so sure. All I can do is keep on doing the best I can for the team, and maybe the results will fall our way.
F3RWRS Commission Announcement Regarding the Surfers SuperPrix Boycott
The F3RWRS Commission is pleased that so many teams have decided not to boycott the race after Joel Melrose was allowed to race. However, they would like to give an official warning to Scuderia Alitalia, Red Bull Team Jagermeister, and anyone else thinking of a boycott. If they do not back down, they will face a severe penalty, including a ban from participation at the Round of China, and possibly from the start of the 2015 F3RWRS season.

He deliberately failed to apply the brakes heading into a medium speed right hand corner and could have easily killed someone with his reckless driving. I certainly think such behaviour comes under "[damaging] the global image of the sport". We don't need another death after the tragedy of Dave McFaste. People must not get complacent about driver safety. This is why I insist on my complaint against his presence on track at Surfers.

Red Bull PR wrote:After the desicion made by the F3RWRS Comission Red Bull Team Jagermeister has announced that they will not go ahead with the planned boycotting of the SuperPrix and will instead use the NASCAR practice of Start and Parking. They will also run an unsposored livery with a copy of the Alitalia petition on the airbox. A Red Bull official said "It is regrettable that we have to do this but neither of our drivers feel safe with that Joel Melrsoe idiot on the track".
Jason Hamilton wrote:It is an absolute disgrace that the F3RWRS commission have banned free speech. What makes the sport look worse, a couple of unconpetitive teams boycotting a race or a fatality because some idiot is incapable of safely driving a racecar

Lotus Development personnel go on a strike, apparently because of rumours that the team wants to cut back their loans.
Dennis Mignolet wrote:Yes it's true we have financial difficulties, which is caused by excessive repair costs, which i blame to those tons of careless drivers out here, and the Alitalia money not being arrived yet. We would like to ask mr. Lindsay to immediatly pay the money for Ragnar Larsen, otherwise, we will take him to court. Our personnel will be paid, we'll find a solution! After all we owe a lot of money from Scuderia Alitalia, (and from Lotus Development). We however have to repeat we are not in financial trouble, we have lots of other great financial partners.

We will not have these amateurs drag us through the mire. If they will make up false stories again Ragnar will move somewhere else, I'm sure Christopherson won't mind having a 3rd car.
