Yes I did and he will also drive at Surfers. But I planned to field three drivers. Put him with #66
Colin Kolles on F111, 2011 HRT challenger: The car doesn't look too bad; it looks like a modern F1 car.

Hawkin was fastest at the end of the session, but will have to back it up later to score pole. Joe Harmsky was a surprise addition to the top 10, and Dorien Lamberigts will lead them out in the shootout. Sokolov makes it a good day for Shonan and will start the race from 11th. Joel Melrose did a good job for 13th (aided by his participation at Brands Hatch). Samora Mondlane barely avoided making the grid straight up, but the other Porto Wines were much further away. Lucarelli also fell short, as did Torbani. A few found the wall at the last corner after experiencing severe understeer.

May I ask why teams like Zimsport, Jones and Prospec are always near the top whilst the likes of TeamAsia, Red Bull and Dofasco are at the bottom? Have you done the performance files to loosely connect it to their main teams in the F1RWRS or is it just a regular conincidence?

Because I run it on a PS2, I can't adjust any performance files. So basically, I take the in game results, consult a table I made up to swap them to F3RWRS entries, and post the results (which are merged from 2-3 races depending on the entries). It's just a coincidence how good they are (if I'd done it based on F1RWRS performance, ZimSport and Prospec would be nowhere near as good and JLD should be a lot higher up). Next season I'll be using GP4, and with Wizzie's help I'll make the files better and more even, so it will actually depend on driver skill (and probably the chassis or engine that they are using), and we'll get more random results.

Round 7 - Surfers SuperPrix - Top 10 Shootout

Review of each drivers' laps in running order:

Dorien Lamberigts (Lotus): 1:55.14
The first driver out on track, Lamberigts did a solid job, if not spectacular. Well, not in terms of lap times, but she aggresively attacked the kerbs through the chicane on the back straight. She wasn't brilliant during the last part of the lap though.

Gianluigi Pazzini (Alitalia): 1:54.83
Pazzini wasn't as good as Lamberigts early in the lap, but he found his line brilliantly through the last few corners and dragged the car up the grid.

Ryan Zimmer (ZimSport): 1:54.89
Almost the opposite of Pazzini during his lap, a good line through the first two chicanes but a bit of oversteer as he exited the last turn saw him just drop behind Pazzini.

Joe Harmsky (Shonan): 1:55.22
Harmsky obviously peaked during Q1, and didn't leave much for this lap, but he managed to still be quite close to Lamberigts by the end of it.

Tomo Kazama (Prospec): 1:54.34
On the other hand, Kazama did the very minimum to make Q3, and it paid off for her big time. A very attacking lap, she hit all the kerbs just right to easily take pole position and two handy points.

Eric Swerts (Jones): 1:56.80
Swerts did very well early on the lap, but he missed the apex for the final corner and went straight into the fence at the exit. It cost him two seconds as he tried to get to the line.

Carter Simpson (ZimSport): 1:54.50
Was just as good as Kazama until a small mistake under brakes for turn 9 cost him too much to make back. Still, it was good for second and making it slightly easier for Kazama.

Jack Christopherson Jr (Christopherson): 1:54.98
Junior did a solid job - until turn 2. He clipped the outside wall trying to go too fast, and couldn't make back the time.

Michael Cameron (Prospec): 1:54.62
Not quite as good as Tomo, but still a solid and aggressive lap. A little bit of kerb hopping at turn 5/6 put a bit of a damper on things.

Terry Hawkin (Jones): 1:54.70
It looked like Cameron had lain down a set of rails and Hawkin was simply following them, it was just a small misjudgement of braking at turn 9 that put him behind.


Final Standings
1st: Tomo Kazama (Prospec): 1:54.34
2nd: Carter Simpson (ZimSport): +0.18
3rd: Michael Cameron (Prospec): +0.28

Wow, Eff One made it through by 0.03 seconds? :o But I'm happy with this - I always thought that Martin McFry (a young, single male) would be faster that Eff One (married with kids)... (But not exclusively because of the reasons given in brackets....)

Round 7 - Surfers SuperPrix - Race Day

As the lights went out Kazama got a bit of an average start, and was swamped by Simpson, Cameron and Hawkin. Further back, Cesar Vialpondo got hung out to dry at turn 3, and found himself stuck in fence. Claude Speed clipped him as he went past and suddenly Team Phoenix's race was all but over, as he lost a few laps in the pits.

Lap 2 saw Hawkin make a brave move on Cameron into the first chicane, and it paid off, and Kazama followed him through. Further behind, Joel Melrose was slicing through the field, already up to 10th.

Lap 5 was the next retirement, as Alberto Donegro was too aggressive over the kerbs, and his suspension gave out under braking for turn 9. Two laps later, his teammate was out too. Lorenzo Crescenzi had lost a lot of spots at the start, and a quick spin on lap 3 had relegated him to the back of the field. He tried an aggressive move on Urrutia at turn 9, and succeeded in taking him out. Cabral, having dropped behind them, got unlucky as he came round the kink and went right into them.

Lap 8 saw the first stops, as the front runners came in on two stoppers. Hawkin got a better stop and jumped Simpson, while Kazama came in before Cameron and gained the spot. In fact, over laps 8, 9 and 10 everyone had pitted - except for Lamberigts. She stayed out, the only one to try to go for one stop. She held the lead until her stop on lap 13.

On lap 10, Pazzini was coming out of the pits while Ryan Zimmer was coming into the chicane. Zimmer went a bit too fast and his rear wheels stepped out, catching the fence. Pazzini had no chance to stop and went straight into him, with both retiring on the spot.

By lap 15, the order was Hawkin, Simpson, Kazama, Cameron, Lamberigts and then Christopherson Jr, quite a distance behind. In fact, he didn't have much pace at all. He was holding up Harmsky, Melrose and Greenlaw. That lap saw two more retirements - Roberto Zayas, who understeered into the wall at turn 4, and Joao Cavalcanti, who did the same thing as Doengro earlier on.

Laps 17 and 18 saw the two stoppers come back in for their last stops, leaving Lamberigts in the lead, but not by much, and she was having to save fuel already. Martin McFry ran out of fuel while running 16th and couldn't quite make it to the pit entry, although he did enough to be classified.

On lap 20, Torbani's so far average race came to a close when he found the fence at the chicane on the back straight, going to aggressive on the kerbs and losing control.

Lap 21, just shy of the 40 minute mark, saw Lamberigts get caught by Hawkin, Simpson and Kazama. Cameron had lost a lot of time because the two Jones cars queued at their pit stop, with Swerts essentially trapping Cameron in his bay. That'll stir a few people up. Anyway, Cameron had lost spots to Melrose, Christopherson Jr and Harmsky, and all were more than 30 seconds behind the leaders.

Lap 22, and Lamberigts got passed by Hawkin at turn 3, and immediately bolted. Lamberigts, desperate to hold a podium, held up Simpson and Kazama big time (costing them 12 seconds over the next two and a half laps).

And that was that, as far as the win went. Lap 24 saw Lamberigts' engine start to cough, and fortunately the timer ticked over to 45 minutes that lap, although she still had to coast over the line. It allowed Simpson and Kazama to pass for the podium spots though, putting a dent in an otherwise fine drive.


Final Standings:

Scuderia Alitalia will finally be rolling out the Parma Corse junior team brand in full for 2015, and will be running cars visually similar to the #98 machine used by Enrico Molinaro this year. However, there will be no change aside from the name as the colour, being run out of the same Parma HQ as the rest of Scuderia Alitalia's racing operations.

However, the #27 and #28 shown on the Team Presentation is only speculative, with the F1RWRS Commission yet to issue numbers to the teams. Unlike F1RWRS and F2RWRS where numbers are assigned to teams, F3RWRS uses the MotoGP system of pick and choose. With ZombieKart's Humbert Moyenmoutier using #28 this season, it remains to be seen if Parma Corse will be allowed to use this historic pair of numbers.

Octan is also looking for a decent team to place Kevin Bainomugisha if only 2 cars are allowed.

Well, then i have already 5 drivers under control, so that will not be possible. So we keep our deals for F2RWRS then. Of course this means no engine deal and no sponsorship. (but F2RWRS is commercially more interesting anyway)

2015 F3RWRS Rule Changes

- Teams are now only allowed to enter two cars.
- Tomo Kazama has the right to use car #1 if she so wishes. If she does not race in the F3RWRS next season, Pemberton Prospec Racing then have the right to use #1 for any of their drivers. If they choose not to, or Kazama continues to race but doesn't use it, then nobody will use #1.
- A Constructor's Championship will be contested in addition to the Drivers' and Teams' Championships. Only the best placed car of each constructor will be scored. (e.g, Dallaras finish first and second, so they score 10 points. If a Suzuki is third, they get 8 points. Any constructor can compete, whether they supply multiple teams like Dallara or Suzuki, are a private constructor like Jones or a manufacturer providing for a single team like Seat).
- Any driver who is found guilty of a driving offence after an investigation will be subject to a new system of penalisation. A punishment scheme shall take place in the form of points awarded based on the severity of their offence:

Overtaking under yellow flags: 20 points
Illegal blocking: 30 points
Illegal overtaking: 30 points
Causing a collision (accidental): 45 points
Causing a collision (deliberate): 65 points
Causing a collision (accidental and resulting in injury): 75 points
Causing a collision (deliberate and resulting in injury): 100 points
Any offence resulting in exclusion/disqualification: 150 points + the offence that caused it

If a driver receives a total of 100 points, he is automatically banned for one event. 200 points will see him banned for two events, and 300 or more will see him excluded from the championship and banned from racing for the remainder of the season. All points will be wiped after each season. Note points are only awarded if a driver is found guilty.

Round 5 - Round of the United Kingdom - Brands Hatch - 2 races
Round 6 - Round of Germany - Norisring - 2 races
Round 7 - Spa SuperPrix - Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps - 1 race
Round 8 - Round of Italy - Autodromo Nazionale Monza - 2 races
Round 9 - Round of Japan - Fuji Speedway - 2 races
Round 10 - Surfers SuperPrix - Surfers Paradise Street Circuit - 1 race

Not the final calendar, it depends on the final F1RWRS version.

- Race formats will change. Weekends now consist of two races. Other details yet to be finalised.* The Surfers, Spa and Monaco SuperPrix will both be single 45 minute races.


* What I mean is I need suggestions for how to work it out. I will be using GP4 now, which means grid numbers will be limited to 22 per race. How I do the races shall be decided by the community. The races themselves will be a 20 minute sprint and a 30 minute feature race.

Option 1: Pre-qualifying. Would be similar to the F1 and F2RWRS, where a certain amount of teams get straight in, the rest fight it out for the last few spots. I'll probably do it the same as the F1RWRS, with the fastest PQ team getting out for the next race, and the slowest quali team dropping back. This would mean though that a DNPQ means missing the entire weekend.

Option 2: It remains as is now, I run multiple races and the results being put together. I'd prefer the other way, because then videos would be a definite possibility. This option makes videos more difficult (although I could still do screenshots).

Option 3: Any other suggestions?



Opinions on any rule changes are appreciated, and any other suggestions are good too.

JLD will use the Jones JR-301 chassis while an updated version of last year's BMW F31, the BMW F31/5 will be used. Should the Jones Chassis not be avaliable, JLD will use the Dallara F315

I still think you should take up my idea of two sprint races with half the field in each race with the combined results of the two races making up the grid for the feature race. From qualifying, we can have people who scored odd numbered results (1st, 3rd, 5th etc) in the first race and even numbers in the second.

Monaco, Spa and Surfers can just have the straight Pre-Qualifying system.

Before I finalize my entry I need to know a few things...

1. What engines are there to choose from?
2. Same question for the chassis
3. I will definitly enter MA-Junior again, but how long do I have until I have to name my drivers?

Ok, that's cool. I WILL have a spot for next year, so I'll chuck a press release in here once the F1RWRS gets towards the end of it's season.
