Everybody hates Dunfermline in Fife apparently. The Raith fans hate them, the Blue Brazil fans hate them, the Fifers hate them...I wonder how much longer before the red mist descends on Alloa Athletic. Because Paul Hartley used to play for the Dons...get it...no, it's not funny at all. Shutting up.

Hello everyone long time lurker first time caller here. Also currently lacking a functioning comma key which is why my sentences might sound a little breathless. I started watching Formula One in the mid 90s but what really got me into the rejects was some Top Trumps (a popular card game) we had which featured cars of the 1992 season. While the McLarens and the Williams cars were fine what I really liked was looking at the Fondmetals Minardis Dallaras and Venturis (sadly Andrea Moda were too rejectful to even get on a card). These days my favourite team is HRT; I think they're the most interesting team in recent years. Currently living in Reading (home of Fittipaldi Automotive and apparently Ayrton Senna) where I'm at university.

I also post under this username at GPM2World and Engineering F1 so if anyone knows me from there hello (I know some GPM2World members are here!)

Cool to see you here as well, and welcome aboard! You'll probably soon see that this is among the better F1 forums, people are (usually) nice to each other, and very rarely get into serious arguments.

Ah, Gretna. Their first ever Scottish league game was against us at our ground. If I remember correctly they beat us 7-1! The stock car racing is pretty good fun. Hi, thought I'd quickly introduce myself.

I've been following this site on and off now for almost a year, and it certainly looks like a nice place to discuss F1 (and Motorsport in general). Mainly interested in past F1 stuff, although well over 10 years since I first got interested in Motorsport, I've been following F1 very closley, even if Sky and their cronies have made viewing F1 in the UK very difficult

I did initially sign up to the forums about half a year ago, but the name of the account has completley passed my mind.

Well, you could now be doing maths assignments on integrating functions and hypothesis tests, or practicing the ridiculously-overcomplicated AS-AD graphs we're forced to learn about in Economics. You've got all that to look forward to when you start the Canadian equivalent of AS-levels...

New Malden - the largest population of Koreans outside of Korea! I lived in Surbiton while studying at the Penrhyn Road site of Kingston Uni.

You cay you studied for your third year at Kingston - where did you spend the first two years?

My exams were all taken in the Penrhyn Road site. That was the main site, if memory serves.
You're right, quite a lot of Koreans in New Malden. There used to be a really nice Korean restaurant (there were several but I only ever went to one) on the high street that we used to go to a lot. Can't remember the name. Curse my memory filled with racing nonsense! I haven't been back since I left in 2000.

Northbrook College in Shoreham, West Sussex, a few miles west of Brighton. Right on Shoreham Airport (the longest-serving airport in the UK, fact fans!) and right next to the Ricardo R&D centre. Shoreham was a very quiet place, full of old people. It was a relatively small college, but a great place to learn about cars. The buildings were a bit shite, but it had 2 very important things going for it:
- the workshops were great, with loads of cars and bits to play around with;
- the lecturers were all gentlemen of an advanced age, each easily with 30+ years of experience of the automotive trade (some with a bit of motorsport experience as well), they knew their stuff and they knew how to convey the information to the students.

Personally, I like the mentality of this site, with many ironic and sarcastic comments, and the near absence of fanboys is a good plus in my book, too.

Lack of accents is unforgivable in French!!! Thankfully, Belgian keyboards are full of lots of accents. We even have special keys for é, è, à and ç, and for some unknown reason also ù.
