David AGS wrote:They announced KH-7 just before the car was launched. When I first read that they signed on as a sponsor, I was surprised that they were only on the inside of the rear wing. NOT SO, they have the rear wing from the back as well. Judging by the incident with Narain, they got some decent footage!
And from that footage, as well as qualifying, that's how I saw that the ugly orange and green splat inside the rear wing, which I'd only seen the briefest flash of in Australia and thought "what is that?" was the KH-7 logo. Did they get an art student to design it? It appears said art student went for an Indian takeaway, devoured too much chicken tikka masala and that weird day-glo unidentifiable green sauce in one go, far too quickly, and chundered the lot all over the HRT's rear wing. Next thing you know, the team have said "hey, I like it!" and it became the final design...
What were they thinking?
I know its ugly they should loose the green or the orange they don't go together especially with HRT's new Colors, but unfortunately that's the sponsors company logo and branding. They are bringing some money to HRT so we must respect them for that. Interesting is this the most clashing combination of colors on an F1 car ever?
An ad like that in Australia would last bout 10 secs, and then it would be thrown out due to customer complaints.
Back to the sponsor, I guess the only thing I can think of, green is the grime, and the orange is the KH-7 on top of it and cleaning it!

Maybe, but I reckon GRJN v. the world is more likely...

So, shall we start placing bets on which 'big gun' Crashikeyan is gonna target in China when he's being lapped?

Oh, let's just cut to the chase. Crashikeyan v. GRSJN! Gotta happen sometime this year, does't it?

Grrrjjjjjnnnnnn never last long enough to manage to lap Karthikeyan. I will say that at least in one race Hamilton will make a mess of it. It is in his blood.

Ah, but what if he simply spins at the start and ends up just behind the HRT? Or if he gets a penalty and has to start from the pitlane or in last place?

Grrrjjjjnnnn doesn't have spins or penalties. When he bins it, he bins it for good!

But Narain could come along and pile into GRJN, a la Rossett, Spa 1998...

Bit of looking on t'internet re- wait a minute - HRT have a driver development programme?!?!
Anyway, he's got a couple of low places in Chinese rounds of A1GP and Superleague Formula, and last year won the lower class in the Chinese Touring Car Championship with 4 wins/8 races.
From what I see, his racing career isn't much more impressive Chanoch Nissany's Had some point finishes in European F3 Open. Oh, and he's a champion of Chinese tin-tops in a Hyundai.
HRT apparently continues on filling the shoes of Minardi - announcing test drivers that are plain shité and shouldn't be anywhere close to F1. Hilarity ensues
P.S: 800th post! I'll drink to that

I think Ma Qing Hua is HRT's Driver Development Programme. Unless they're developing Vitantonio Liuzzi

Mabe some Chinese cash will follow him too, by the sounds of it.
Thats a good thing though. If you can crack into the Chinese market (like Jordan etc. have tried to have done in the past) theres a lot of money out there.

No, Dani Clos is also part of the programme.
I foresee a HRT junior team coming soon! Super H.R.T for 2013, they could use the 2010 H.R.T chassis.

Just a shame there's no talent...

Well, we can keep Ho-Ping for someone talented to come through the ranks
Come to think of it, Ho-Ping Tung is 30 this year. Which must mean he should soon be on HRT's shortlist...
And, this is my 1400th post on this forum

There's a Chinese driver called David Zhu who will be competing in Formula Two this year. He won't win the championship though, so he'll need to pick up an awful lot of sponsorship to get to F1.
