"Grand Prix 2" Championship
Re: "Grand Prix 2" Championship
After an impressive season, Gio Van Dycke is looking to drive whatever car he has been offered (Minardi?)
Meanwhile Ligier is looking for a decent second driver, and are especially interested in Takagi. If not possible Megumi will be retained on a race-to-race basis.

Re: "Grand Prix 2" Championship
Masta Valsattis would like to point out he's actually qualified his Forti a few times whilst his team-mate hasn't. And his Ferrari debut at France wasn't all that bad. Valsattis is eyeing a seat at either Arrows, Prost (Ligier) or Tyrrell. Failing that, he's happy to stay at Forti and enhance his reputation further.

Re: "Grand Prix 2" Championship
Round 13:
And now for something completely different.
You are Poppy Whitechapel. It is the start of the Portuguese Grand Prix.
Do you:
A. Crash into a Minardi and barrel roll a few times before coming to a halt. If so, I refer you to this video.
B. Get away cleanly.
C. Get away cleanly but forget to brake at Turn 1, smashing into Pieter Kickert and knocking both out of the race.
The correct answer is C.
You are Douglas Mann. Your teammate has spun off while leading and dropped to the back of the grid. John Zimmer has just been forced to make an extra stop due to electrical problems. He is also on a two-stop strategy and you are one-stopping so you have two pit stops on the Benetton.
Do you:
A. Drive away and win the race handily, thus proving to all doubters that you deserve your drive.
B. Allow John Zimmer to whittle away your lead to six seconds (albeit before his second stop), until your car retires with an unfortunate engine failure.
C. Win the race but slide over at the last second to let your teammate through to help his championship aspirations.
The correct answer is B.
You are Samael Meerwick/Reiko Megumi/Andrew Spokes
How do you feel about not finishing again?
A. Great.
B. Indifferent.
C. Piss off.
The correct answer is C.
Reject of the Race goes to George Tramontani for general ineptitude. Note, his teammate took a Top 10 finish while he failed to qualify again! I doubt anyone will be hiring him now. Congrats to Zimmer for an easy victory after Douglas Mann's engine blew up (although let's be honest, Mann was well on his way to losing a two-stop lead anyway, considering his pace at the time and his tendency to throw the car off the road while in the lead). Zimmer now takes a big lead in the championship as Moreno needs for the Benetton to not finish a few races.
Lead Changes:
Daniel Moreno: 1-3
John Zimmer: 4-18
Douglas Mann: 19-30
John Zimmer: 31-37
Douglas Mann: 38-39
John Zimmer: 40-
Drivers' Championship
1. John Zimmer - 84 (7 wins)
2. Daniel Moreno - 70 (5 wins)
3. Padraig O'Connell - 39
4. Kazuhiko Takagi - 36 (1 win)
5. Douglas Mann - 33
6. Tom Douglas - 18

9. Rory McAllister - 10

Actually, he didn't qualify for a Reject Superlicense anyway so the status quo would have remained regardless. He's still got a drive in the LFS series though so if the MRT's half decent, he could stand a chance of qualifying for a Superlicense through there.

No, but he would have probably got one during the course of the 2015 season. Anyway, I am hoping for success in the 2015 RoLFS season.

What a flaming surprise. This engine is ruddy useless. No wonder Douglas loses time towards the end of races - he's paranoid about the engine exploding, or else the engine starts losing power before it explodes...

It may be the best car, but will the engine be any more reliable? Will it stop exploding in Douglas's hands?

Ligier would like to give Da Silva or Valsattis a chance in the first car, as Dennis Mignolet will concentrate on running the team. Ligier would also like to point out that it is not up to Megumi to put clauses in the contract, as the contract is negotiated between Ligier and Mugen-Honda.
Van Dycke would like to apply for a job at Tyrrell, Minardi, Sauber, Benetton, Williams or Forti.
