BIANCHI'S SEAT AT PSRT UNDER THREAT?
The 3rd seat at PSRT is, according to rumours, under threat. Anndrea Bianchi has turned in some poor performances at both the Sebring and the Homestead tests, and Autosport understands that team boss Luke Knight is dissapointed. "We have a lot of young, fast drivers just waiting for a chance to step into one of our IndyCars" he said "but Andrea's seat is safe. He will not be replaced for the opening round at Interlagos." However, Knight added "A decision will be made on Andrea's pace before the beggining of qualifying for the Indy 500" The leading candidates for the drive should Bianchi be sacked are Italian part-timer Jose Braggia, Italian ex-sports car and ex-F1 driver Marco Apicella, and American Rick Angeles

The cards are on the table now! Qualifying brings some surprises

The qualifying session for the Ford do Brasil 200 saw indeed some surprises. Hydook Grand Prix driver Andries van Heel took the first pole position of the year, bringing some satisfaction the Reynard. Hydook Grand Prix were the only team to buy a new Reynard 15i chassis, and it seemed to have payed off big time. Hydook's second driver Goran Jordanovic is on 12th position, but his time was only a half second behind his teammate's. Qualifying times were really close, with first 17 cars being within a second!
A slight disappointment were Cassidy Racing. While Ashley Cassidy place the Panoz-Toyota on forth place, teammates Brendon Cassidy Jr. and Ryan McReynolds got dissatisfying results. Little Brendon put his car on 23rd on the grid, while McReynolds got only on 29th place. But there might be some hope for Cassidy Racing, as their longruns have proven to be good, which probably brought their good test results. So tomorrow's Ford do Brasil 200 should be a very exciting affair.

Hydook feast their historical first pole position
This night a lot of rakija - Croatia's favourite alcoholic beverage - will be consumed in Hydook's motorhome.
Andries van Heel put on an excellent performance in today's qualifying session and scored his and Hydook's first pole position in F1RICS, as well as the first pole in the history of this series. His teammate - Croatian Goran Jordanovic - also scored a good result, just a short bit outside of top-10 and only half a second behind his team-mate.
Andries said: “It feels great and I completely owe this to the team. We’ve been working extremely hard on the car, trying to compromise our high-tech chassis with low-tier engine. The boys haven’t had much time to relax the last few days, so it’s good to put the car on pole for them. We will be partying like crazies.”
Goran Jordanovic agreed: “The car has been working better in Brazil, the team has worked very hard and been very focused and we can have a good race from there tomorrow.”

Well, we're happy to be within one second of the pole time, it shows that we're not far off the front runners, and that any improvements will lift us up the field. What we're unhappy about, however, is that our best car is down in 17th position.

While Junior's performance is disappointing, he's just missing the US of A, hamburgers, Mom's apple pie and everything, it's taking him time to adapt to being in a third world country.

If any of the driver names or team names have accents in them (strikethroughs, etc), get rid of them, the board hates them and just rejects them. For example, I can't write Krzysztof Holowczyc properly, the L in his surname should have a stroke through it but posting that character causes an error.

I also use xkoranate for my Alternate Reality championship.I normally have trouble when the race review is long,so maybe post the results and then the race review in a separate post.


If it is just the results,maybe omit the team names,then try running the race again.That means you get different results as you have to rerun the race but at least you can post the results.

You said you made team names shorter?Did you try removing them completely?When you go back to the very first page of xkoranate,there should be two boxes underneath the number of laps and lap record data.Untick the "Show team names" box and try again.Just save under a new name incase it doesn't work and you want to continue with the old results.Man,I sound like a xkoranate guru.

We're quite pleased with the result, given that as a team we're best prepared for racing on all-American ovals. Both drivers finished the race, and were in the points, but we're looking forward to getting back to 'Merica.
