I don't think you have to worry about it. If you have never dated anyone probably you don't feel ready for that. ;)

I think that what Sunshine_Baby meant to say was that if dr-baker never dated anyone, probably girls don't feel that he is ready for that! ;)

This means that dr-baker gives them that idea, of course. :)

There are so many ways all this could be interpreted. And all of them are distinctly family-unfriendly

So, this has now turned into the F1 Rejects - Rejectful at Relationships thread?

I've only had one girlfriend, and have been single for about 4 years now. I just haven't bothered with relationships since, and it's served me well. Though I would like to have a girlfriend again. Maybe it will happen after this month, who knows. There's a few girls I like and would want to go out with, maybe sometime next month I might have the balls to ask someone out. I have been asked out before by a few girls, but they've either been year 9s (I'd rather go out with someone in my year group) or people who I don't fancy for several reasons. My only fear is if I go out with one of the girls who is part of my friendship group at sixth form. I've seen it happen before time and again, two people in the group start having a relationship. Then they break up, and it's all awkward, dividing the group. Which is a reason why I was glad I was single throughout my time in high school.

Indeed, the last girl who tried to ask me out, kept contacting me over Facebook chat, talking about stuff. I'd seen her around sixth form before, and I wasn't interested in the slightest. Once, she asked me how I felt about Christmas, I replied instantly with 'Bah Humbug' in a humourous fashion, and she interpreted it in completely the opposite way that I intended. She then told me I was sweet. I checked her profile, and it stated that she was already in a relationship, so I just ignored her constant Facebook chat attempts from then on and eventually she stopped.

So yeah, that's my sorry tale 8-)

Yes, it does. I have been there and learnt how to deal with that after friendzoning a few girls myself. Gradually reduce contact until none. No one friendzones you.
