Wizzie wrote:According to the Caterham team, there's a massive crane that's managed to get itself stuck on the track at Anthony Noghes and has been there since the previous night

According to Adam Cooper, one of the bearings of that crane had seized up overnight - thankfully, they seem to have found a work around for now, although it did delay the start of the Porsche Supercup race by about 15 minutes.

Incidentally, Vettel has revealed what was going on yesterday with his performance in qualifying - he admitted that he and his engineers decided to make a change to his set up between FP3 and qualifying that backfired. He has also revealed that he intends to run a reverse strategy to the front runners, starting on the harder tyre and hoping to gain track position by stopping much later (although he is unsure that a one stop strategy will work this year given the changes in tyre construction compared to last year). http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/99904

Sticking his neck on the line, one post at a time. Oh, and Singapore is still better than Monaco.

Good decision, I wouldn't want to start right in front of Maldonado after FP3 if I were Perez.

Given the very short run to turn 1, we might witness Mark Webber surrender the least number of places from a start in recent history!

Crofty just mentioned on Sky that Red Bull are involved in a protest of some description. Can anyone shed some more light on this?

It's on Autosport now. Something to do with the floor of the car.

The carnage is less shocking than the fact that Webber made a good start.

Maldonado ran into the back of him. If Webbers not careful Rosberg could nip down the inside at the restart

Welcome at Monaco Grosjean. Looks like he made the poor start and it just got all squeezed together. Schumacher was very lucky to get away with it.

Button behind Kova. Come on Caterham!!

5 wide into Ste Devote was never going to work in a month of Sundays. The Ferraris made blinding starts with Hamilton and Grrrssssjjjjnnn both bogging down. The accident was therefore inevitable

Hamilton on the other hand was really lucky not to lose any positions with his dreadful getaway.

No. Because Karthikeyan is awful.

If PDLR was still in the race, it could have been his day.

Also, Petrov fastest lap so far.

Why hasn't Vettel been forced to give up his position to Kimi and Schumacher? He cut the first corner, they didnt.

RAIN! And cars that shortcut the first turn are in trouble! In the GP2 race last year, didn't they penalize half the field after the race?

Is Schumacher F1's most luckless driver this season, or do you get the luck you deserve?

Still, at least he's still in this one, I suppose.

Because Grosjean was too busy arriving at the first corner backwards with Vettel having to choose between hitting him and cutting the track.

I have only one wish for this race, and that is that Massa can finish higher than Alonso, he needs this weekend badly.

Yeah I don't think anything will happen.

Hulkenberg keeping it close to Schumacher, he had good pace in quali too.

Edit: No further action against cars skipping turn 1.
Edit 2: Can I see spots of rain on camera's?!

Schumacher definitely has took the title of unluckiest driver this season, taking that from Sebastien Buemi last season.

And no, you don't get the luck you deserve, trust me.
