If we go by Spain, then all cars will be on the grid.

Which is good, but interesting when comes to lapping.

Saying that, due to being a drivers track, not a technical track they would be more on the pace
Miserable Thierry (Boutsen) staggers round mostly on ten cylinders (out of 12) with no clutch, low oil pressure, bad brakes and no grip to finish tenth, 3 laps down...

(Murray Walkers review of Boutsen's Brazil 1991 race).

Thats a point these days!

IIRC, Anderson mentioned during the BBC's practise sessions that the field spread at Monaco is actually quite high in the opening laps - because of the stop start nature of the circuit, the field tends to stretch out more rapidly as the drivers have to wait for longer for the driver in front to move before accelerating themselves. He mentioned that the typical field spread after the first lap would be around 25 seconds - by way of comparison, there was a field spread of about 13 seconds in Spain after the first lap. If anything, lapped traffic tends to be more of an issue in Monaco because the field spreads out so quickly and the circuit is so short, so the leading cars tend to catch the backmarkers much more rapidly.

A big update to HRT's doomsday clock, at last!

Pedro de la Rosa's best lap of 1:18.096 is within 105,11% of final pole time, which is 1:14.301. This is a new best for the HRT team, finally beating Chandhok's 105,14% set at the 2010 European GP.

It's particularly impressive, as Monaco is the track which improves the most during the session. Had he gone out in Q3 he would probably have been well within the 105%!

PDLR doesn't even like Monaco, he said so on the Sky Sports build up.

Yeah, it was one of his weakest tracks in his "first career" between 1999 and 2002.

I seem to remember DLR got tangled up at Loews one year...think it was 2000? Not sure...

Encouragement for PDLR, he's almost closer to Kovalainen than to Karthikeyan. And he was only 6 or 7 tenths off Petrov.

Whilst it was good to see him set that time, he's still no real closer to Caterham and Petrov. Reports has come out saying Petrov suffered from total KERS failure. But still, 2.6 seconds away from the fastest in Q1 is great to see.

Lowest difference from pole time (2010): +5,14 %
Lowest difference from pole time (2011): +6.26 %
Lowest difference from pole time (2012): +5,11 %
...

If this method continues, HRT will score their first pole at some race in 2354.

On track,

Karthikeyan finished 15th due to retirements later in the race which is a positive.

I just think that de la Rosa could have challenged the Marussia cars if he didnt get hit.

Hopefully Canada is better for them. Pedro normally goes okay there

Thanks Klon,

just if it is spam tell me and it would disappear right now.

But I think that each HRT supporter don't have to discover by himself which are the official fan sites, or even know if the team send You or not a member card.
