Knowing how GP2 works, this'll mean changing the performance file which means that there is no other alternative to rerunning the entire session.

I know, re-run the session, but just use Watkinson's time from it, and substitute that for Valsattis' time from the original session. Unless Aerond is running a full race weekend, and is thus unable to change cars in between sessions, which I'm guessing is what you mean.
I don't mind doing either but effectively there's a precedent in which the entire session was re-run, so i'll run the entire session again. However, I'll take Andreamoda's suggestion as the path to take shall this happen again from round 1 next season.
I know this is a bit inconvenient, sorry if the re-run affects any of you but it's the solution i'll take.

I'm happy with that. I know it doesn't affect me at all, but the precedent has been set for this season, so that's how it'll have to go, but at least we have a solution for 2015.
I only said to re-do the entire session because that was what was done before. And if any member wants to create a stink if they don't get through, contact Mr.Alexander and he'll have a 'nice chat' with you..

It's not you or Mr Alexander I have a beef with. As this has happened twice now, steps need to be taken to make sure it doesn't happen again. That responsibility lies chiefly with Aerond.

To be fair to Aerond, did anyone else besides AdrianSutil notice that Watkinson was supposed to be there until he brought it up? Hell, the wiki page hasn't even been updated to include him, yet Davies to MRT and Hamilton to HRT are there (which I hope Aerond remembers ).

Probably because many team owners in here are like me: Unless it directly affects my team, drivers or qualifying/race chances, then I don't give a damn
Seriously though, you can't expect every post to be read by every team owner, there's 20 of us after all. But all this is irrelevant now, I said I signed him, it was accepted, so it's done.

So if I get this right, the same teams qualify? All of this sh*tstorm, all of this complaining, resulting in absolutely nothing. The only way to make this scenery more German would be to have David Hasselhoff play in the background.
I don't really give a shite about what anyone does with engines in 2016
And I've just realised AndreaModa's proposal is effectively dead in the water because the cars found the best part of three seconds between the two sessions.

I don´t have to approve that since Mackintosh is not my driver. As for Mecha´s credits, I encourage you to find the post before the 13th race where all the accounts are stated and then calculate how many do you have now if you spent afterwards.

Sorry . Mackintosh is my driver, actually.
BTW, Mecha GP will add 50 points on James Davies' qualifying performance, plus 30 points on Mack's (Mackintosh's nickname) qualifying performance. If there is no improvement, Davies will be fired for 2015.

It appears to the outside observer than Scuderia Alitalia is quite professional. UGL Transporti is an Italian shipping company that uses Alitalia as a partner for freight transportation, and their twitter account is following all Alitalia related Twitter accounts...including my fictional racing team.

How ironic! Tell them that your racing team is fictional!
And for next year, Mecha will also call dibs on Ford HB IV (assuming next year we have enough credits thanks to Backmarker Assistance money - that is, TV and pre-qualifying cup money).

See, what you've just done is told everyone what engine you want, and Aerond will probably punish you for not reading the rules properly by making you pick last.

Or is that what I would do?
Well, I am not aware of that rule...
BTW, unfortunately, after I do accounting, it looks that Mecha may not get the required credits to get the HB IV engine. I'm sticking with DFZ maybe.
I have a question regarding engine-chassis combos. If I pick an engine that has more HP than my chassis is limited to, does that mean the engine will run to that max chassis HP and suffer more unreliability as a result? Or does it work some other way.

Hum... That makes me wonder if one day you won't receive a rather formal letter threatening legal action for using their name without permission...

Well, if that happens we might as well kiss our sorry rears goodbye with things like the GPM2 games. It is kind of in the nature of racing role-playing to breach copyright and hope to stay insignificant enough so nobody minds.

If who uses GPM2 has the real game I can't see how that is breaching copyrights. The same goes for GP2, GP4 and any other games.

I was more talking about team and marquee copyright there. Ferrari, Williams etc. are all registered ™s and we use them without permission. See the story of BatRacer to know how well that ends, although we are smart enough to not try and make money with it and therefore should be safe.

But that's because Ferrari are prats and as anal as Bernie when it comes to copyrights

Role-playing and pretending to be this or that should not be an issue. And talking about those teams doesn't like to one too. After all you are still free to mention this or that name. It is free publicity. Thing is things might go awry when we start to use logos and stuff like that in websites and public things without permission. That was my initial point.

Had I obeyed all copyright regulations, there probably wouldn't be that many mods for GPM2, and they wouldn't look half as good as they are now (because I would have to be far pickier when choosing images).
