Dude, it's year nine. Nobody really gives a shite how good you do in that year. Seriously, Lappy failed English 4 years in a row (usually by quite some margin  ) and yet he's somehow doing just fine in 2U Advanced.

And you're starting to sound dangerously like how I was in year 9. And that's not a good thing at all. :|

Unless I'm very much mistaken, Australian year groups are 'behind' a year, aren't they? (i.e. British Year 10 is Aussie Year 9 etc)

The bad thing is that this year was much better than last year, but then again the only year I ever enjoyed was year 7.

Year 9? Year 10? What are all these things? I can't make any sense of it!

In that case the UK is 1 year behind Australia.

Ours stops at 6 then goes back to 1, but having spent four-and-a-bit years in the English school system, I understand what they're saying just fine

If we're talking about education, nothing will ever beat the brilliance that was Year 8 for me. No exams, no pressure, last year of middle school, a fantastic form class with all my friends, cool teachers. Fan-bloody-tastic!

And then it all came crashing down in Year 9. High school, shite form class full of plastics and few friends, most lessons having plastics in them = loads of draconian whole class detentions throughout the year.

But it was all sorted out in Year 10/11, with new form classes, plenty of friends, and no longer having to do subjects like Drama, French and Food Tech, which I have no interest in. It was all a good laugh. Savour your high school days, younger members!

And now I'm about to start the Year 13 courses next week...

Good luck with Year 13, requires a lot of effort but it's worth it.

I have my last 4 A-Level exams in the next two weeks, I'm making sure I'm prepared enough for them.

Years 10 and 11 were class, mainly because there were parties to go to but also because GCSEs weren't too bad...I do wish I had done Drama though, I was good at acting and writing plays but didn't have the confidence to do the school productions.

I still have an advantage over but I sense my only hope will be to get at least 1000 posts in the next word association thread. Anyway, it's not like I get invited to a girl's house everyday.

I can foresee that you and Pasta will be trolling that thread a lot. Although if we keep the 100 pages rule before closing it (I believe it was the rule for the 2nd coming of that thread), the fun will be over rather quickly...
