You can tell I've never spent credits on my drivers before, can't you?! And Phoenix was leading me to believe that I could spend credits on my driver at his team... Phoenix, how about Douglas Mann races for you for the first race while Pippa is at Foxdale, I spend credits on her, then we swap the drivers back for the second race onwards?

I accept your suggestion. That's a deal.

And Aeroracing Engineering not only expresses their deep condolences at the death of Eff One Jnr., but, additionally, plans to run a black livery for the first race of the season with "Eff 'The Big' One" on the bodyowrk.

So I took the liberty of adding some detail to your Foxdale livery dr-baker, its up to you whether you want to use it or not! I made the assumption that you'll be sticking with the Renault engine for 2015, but that can easily be edited out of the livery if you do switch! :)

In other news, Ephran One Jnr (otherwise known as Eff One), the little-known driver/journalist, has died in the past week. The cause of death is currently unknown. His sole recent start was for Foxdale in the recent F3RWRS Invitational race alongside Martin McFry, to add to his race career prior to his journalism for 'F1 News' in the 1990s. Condolences go to his widow and his children (whom he often referred to as his 'little Effers').

My nominations:

Nathan Scott - Dagger's protege cracked under the pressure of driving for a top team and ended up getting sacked before the European season began
Jack Christopherson - He may be a former F1 world champion (Assuming that he continues on his merry way and dominates 1997) and a two time Bud 500 winner but that half season with Foxdale was just pathetic.
Pemberton Prospec Racing - Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The two-time Constructors champions and Drivers' champion with Spencer ended up scoring a grand total of 1 point. With a Swiss freaking paydriver. The fact that the cash-strapped outfit had to resort to Du Lei and her equally dubious manager for money was just the icing on the cake.
Team Phoenix - At the end of last year, the BMW and Audi works teams both had a lot to think about over the off-season after they both had horrifically bad seasons. Whilst one, under the management of the incredibly astute Daniel Melrose, flourished to the challenge, the other went precisely nowhere. No wonder there's rumours that Audi are on the verge of pulling out of the team.
Andrea Acuri - The Acuri certainly was an effective machine, as proven by Ron Mignolet in the other seat. Acuri on the other hand fails to qualify for half the races and was single handedly responsible for costing Acuri the potential for their best results all year at France. In hindsight, if someone else had been in the car, they would have easily beaten ArrowTech.

But here's my ROTY podium:

3rd - Mecha Grand Prix - Out of all the other teams in pre-qualifying, they were the most delusional of the lot. While the rest admitted that there was work to do for next year, all Mecha did was implode on itself with management trying to sue Al Faisal for speaking the truth and losing their star driver by simply arguing with him rather than accept the truth, knuckling down and try to turn around the sinking ship for next year

2nd - The entire Holden Group - The Holden A and B teams were 3rd and 8th at the end of 2013 with 70 points between them. This year, they crashed down to an embarrassing 10th and 11th with 14 points and not one trip to the podium between them and the root of the problem lied with Holden and their relatively gutless engine. In the works team, Davies jumped ship before the year was out and Watkinson was given the boot long before then whilst down at GRM, Whitechapel was far too unlucky with Frank Zimmer being incredibly inconsistent with brilliance one weekend, insipidness the next and then 'Zimsanity' after that. Overall, it was an absolutely rubbish display from the Red camp.

1st - American Racing Conglomerate - Out of all the teams on the grid, they're the ones that have the most worrying future ahead of them as Incompetence Inc reigned supreme. The fact that top drivers like Daniel Melrose have publically shunned the second ARC seat for 2015 speaks volumes of where the team's heading next year under yet another managerial regime.

3. The Stig

His one good race masked the fact that for the rest of the season he was crap.

2. ARC

The Foxdale of 2014. Just slower.

1. Tropico GP

Do I seriously need to give a reason for this.

There were several other potential nominees, it was hard to choose only 3.

No. Thanks for the nomination though!

Never improved, as I quite frankly, chose a wrong chassis. (If the list stays the same for the next season, or the ones I have been thinking about will stay, I might switch that while keeping the engine, as I think the Ford HB I is alright.) I never posted in the topic, because I had no reason to. Anonymity is good though. Thanks for the nomination!

Okay, let's see...

3. Jack Christopherson
That wasn't quite the performance what was expected from him.

2. Shonan DMS Racing
I... bathplugged... up! And I was unlucky too (again: I was 10 minutes away from seeing the list, and it was filled quite nicely overnight).

1. Tropico
If I saw my team being shite, I wanted to go for ROTY, but if this team will beat me to it, wouldn't surprise me at all. However, I think they at least scored points in the PreQ cup while MY TEAM DID NOT.

ROTY:

Honourable Mentions:
* Prospec: A fall from grace.
* Matthias Valsattis: Even I was surprised by his lack of pace!
* Scuderia Trueba Alitalia: Constantly in the papers. Fighting everyone and everything for the team. Ultimaty failed to achieve anything.

3rd: MechaGP: Of all the new teams, they fared the worst. Plus trying to take their driver to court was the icing on the cake.

2nd: Jack Christopherson. Flopped.

1st: Tropico. Oh dear!

I originally wanted the livery to be fully black (rejectful appearance makes it recognisable), so thanks in advance. Probably it will be used, because I can't make anything decent.

No they didn't. Yes, I'm actually defending FMecha's team.
Sure, the court case is rejectful, but on track they fared better than my team (because I shifted towards 2015 early - I don't think I can immediately switch both the engine and the chassis; I'll probably ditch this POS Lola T97 first and keep the Ford HB I, so I can go for a better engine in 2016), they scored points in the PreQ cup too (my team didn't, don't forget!), and they had a lot bigger chance to qualify.

My nominations are....

3 - Daniel Melrose - For wanting to drive in the midfield whilst the team he owns wins races.
2 - Mecha - Tried to aim above their station and failed, got through prequalifying once and qualified once to get a single retirement. Drivers complaining that the car was as aerodynamic as a brick.
1 - Kay Lon - Was beaten soundly by his team mate, although improved by the end of the season, his team mate improved much more, getting a win whilst Kay Lon could only manage a few podiums. Topped it off by signing for Prospec rather then waiting to see what Sunshine would offer.

That's brilliant, thank you! Definitely the livery that I'll use next season! (Haven't made a definite decision on the engine for next year yet though - depends on the credit situation at the end of the year.)

These are my ROTY nominations:

3rd -- ARC -- Went completely backwards, although one must reckon that it was based on reliability and they would have scored at least two podiums if it wasn´t for that. Still, not a good season and their management must improve drastically next year.

2nd -- HRT -- Probably the biggest flop of 2014. A terrible new car with no improvement over the year meant they had to PreQ a couple of times. Watkinson never felt comfortable and Davies was a pale shadow of himself. Dean O´Lauchlan never did much better.

1st -- Nathanael Spencer -- Yeah, I´m gonna give it all to one driver. Nathanael Spencer was supposed to be number one and he started the season as one, but then, everything went downhill, his accident in Bathurst, the one in Germany, the terrible driving under rainy conditions... too much for the man who had everything in favour to win the championship.

Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport confirmed today that they have signed Nathan Scott. The former DGNgineering-Zakspeed driver had been associated with the Tropican team after his manager was seen at several meetings with team officials.

It is currently unclear whether Scott brings any money to the team, was signed for his minor knowledge of a F1RWRS top car or he managed to convince the German council running the team. With this announcement, Tropico GP becomes the thirteenth team to complete their and after Gillet Ecurie Nationale Belge the second team to have a single-nationality driver line-up.

"His rather ... unique personality appeals to teenagers and young adults which is why we felt it was a very good move to sign him," a company spokesman was quoted.

While the company confirmed that their logo will appear on the cars of Best In The World Motorsport, it is currently unclear whether Prospec will get either sponsorship or free services by the company, like Kay Lon's deal with Avira. The British team was not available for comment yet.

Shortly after entering a team in F1RWRS, El Presidente made implications that he was interested in having a race on the island state. A proposal, called Melrose Plan after it's designer and regular Tropico visitor Daniel Melrose, was leaked to the public, was however rejected due to the significant change to the island required.

Now, we have learned that the accepted proposal which cosisted of parts of the Melrose Plan and using actual roads will not be realised either due to funds having run out for updating the streets in the capital of La Maravilla to raceable conditions. According to our sources, the team has contacted the F1R Council in request of financial support but a decision on that matter is not expected until mid-2015 which would mean that the track would at best see its debut in the 2018 F1RWRS season.

OOC translation: making tracks in GP2 is bloody hard for someone with my (lack of) talent and I won't ask anyone else to do it for me, sadly I currently don't have the time to learn how to do tracks properly which is why I will have to put the idea on ice ... for now.

Forgive me for one minute as I've been awake for the last 29 hours and counting but I can't quite understand why MRT need or even deserve more credits through ROTY.

Then again, Spencer does deserve it for being a muppet 50% of the time.

Donkervoort, wut.

I only said Dofasco because it is the only red and white F1RWRS car I know of.

Yes, that is a Doonkervoort - I was just too lazy to design a special livery for them which is why they had a single color livery which with the lightning of that shot looks like it has a white stripe.

no, i actually asked that if nobody had the time to design a livery, to just let it be entirely red. After all, that's the colour of their logo.
We're not entering full-time after all, and concentrating on other championships. At least the team did reasonably in the race.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!
