Pole Star Racing Team Team Principle, Luke Knight, has announced his plan to join the F1RWRS some time in the near future, possibly for next season. PSRT have had success in the Indy Championship Series across the Atlantic, and are now looking to branch out, according to Knight. "We [PSRT] are in negotiation with the appropriate senior figures in F1RWRS regarding entries" said Knight "and we are confident that a plan for our package can be agreed on and accepted into the F1RWRS soon". As the premier category of international motorsport, the F1RWRS has a long waiting list of teams waiting to enter. "We have a lot of credentials as a team" said Knight about the issue "and we feel that series management would be delighted to have us." Rumours are circulating that PSRT could buy their way into to F1RWRS, reminicent of Scuderia Alitalia's mid season takeover of the struggling Trueba outfit last year. "No; we will go down the proper avenues for our entry into the RWRS" confirmed Knight. "PSRT have also struck a deal with Scuderia Vittore, currently participating in the Rejects of LFS, which will see them become our offical junior squad." Luke Knight also has a driver development and management program in his name, which will be merged into the PSRT package. Current drivers signed to the scheme include F1RWRS legend David Koczo, currently contracted to Scuderia Alitalia, Martin van der Maeyede and Takuma Taki in the F3RWRS, currently contracted to Kingfisher Junior and Red Bull World Race Team respectively. Scuderia Vittore also has Andrea Bianchi, Martyn Rietacher racing for them in ROLFS, with test driver Helio Hernandez on loan at De Friis Motorsport . "We are primarily a British based team, and we will be competing under a British liscence when our time comes in the F1RWRS." announced Knight, who feels that PSRT could be a direct competitor to established British teams already in the F1RWRS. "I feel that PSRT has the resources and driver talent to challenge Jones Racing and Prospec Racing. Both have shown that they have what it takes to make it in the upper echelons of the sport, and I admire Jones's management style. PSRT are looking to emulate both team's success in the series and, who knows, maybe even go further. Of course, if that means taking the fight to other established teams, such as Gillet, Foxdale, MRT, and the reigning DGN, we will not be afraid of hunting down the big boys." Luke Knight is said to be huge fans of both Kay Lon and Pippa Mann. "Yes, both drivers are very talented, and I have great respect for them. On a professional level, who doesn't? Does anyone know if Pippa signs autographs? I'd love to Hve my 1:5 scale model of her title-winning AMR signed. I made it myself..." Our reporter noticed that Knight was carrying a Best in The World Bag, with what looked like a 'Kay Lon for the win' t-shirt inside it. On another note, Knight also said that a major sposnor was already on board "Yes, it is true, we do already have a sponsorship agreement. An international alcoholic beverage company will sponsor us in the F1RWRS, but that's all I can say, except that the branding level will be similar to Alitalia's involvement with IBR and Lancia." The Moon will bring further updates on this story when we have them

I am not trying to barge my way in, this is simply getting the backstory ready for when a slot does open up.
