Has ROTY been decided yet?

Well, if you take this post from Aerond, which I'm assuming is the official nominations for ROTY, then Christopherson fails to make the podium.

Something tells me that Dofasco are in a whole world of trouble for 2015.
That is correct. And who in their right mind would spend money trying to fix that shitbox of a car?

Re: F1RWRS -- 2014 - Onwards
How does the prize money work? I know the bottom teams get the most and the top teams less, so we should pick up a handful of much-needed credits, but is there a final decision yet?

Not exactly; teams earn credits by scoring points, winning races and for final classification, pole positions and fastest laps are useful, as well as ROTR and ROTY awards. Then there´s TV Money which guarantees a minimum income for every team, with the slower teams earning more than top teams to equalise things a bit.
Last but not least, PreQ teams earn a bit more as well through PreQ cup.
Tread lightly in ARWS. Every decision might be your last.

Speaking of prize money, I've completely forgotten what the new amounts for signing F2RWRS drivers was as I haven't updated it on the regulations page in a while. Could you please clarify what it is?
And we are using the new Pre-Q prize structure, correct?

No, those were just my suggestions as to who should be ROTY. IMHO neither Shonan or Tropico or Mecha should be ROTY, why? Very simple, these teams did the best they could with the resources at their disposal; in fact Tropico jumped ahead and sure will jump again next season. Now I´ll take into account your nominations and will elaborate the Top 3 ROTY.

I agree with your assessment on Tropico and Shonan. Mecha on the other hand have done everything in their power to be in contention with their second-half implosion

IMHO Remindergate, the Al Faisal lawsuit, and sacking all senior personnel in conjunction with the poor performance IMHO gives them a solid Reject of the Year nomination

Exactly. And if we all think about it, it all wasn't that controversial was it? If we were awarding it based on that, Alitalia would walk away with it, maybe followed in second by Jones!
But the point is, those instances are all engineered by the members in control of the teams, so if Mecha won ROTY just for a few news articles he wrote, then everyone would be doing that. The trick with controversial incidents is to pick the most opportune moment, in line with surrounding events, and to not post them too frequently.

So Shonan has 260, will get 10 from the PreQ cup (...for scoring nothing!), so that's 270 plus the TV money.
Should be enough for a chassis replacement.

Surprisingly, no. Doesn't change the fact that he deserves a drive more than Spencer, D. Mann or Older Jr though

The Jordan 191's ridiculously overpriced. Then again, the price for half the components on the list have no correlation to their actual stats relative to everything else.
Seriously though, with that amount of money, not only can you get yourself a half-decent chassis but you can upgrade to the IV Spec Ford HB as well.
Speaking of Ford, I kinda like the fact that they supplied eight teams on the grid for 2014. Brings back the glory days of 80s and 90s F1 where virtually every privateer team had either a Ford, a Hart or a Judd engine. Man, we need more Hart and Judd engines just for the hell of it
