Kate's Dirty Sister
Your melbourne winning chassis .. .. . . . . .
While the British media currently questions its former affection for Hamilton amid the 'lie-gate' scandal, Sunday's spotlight fell squarely on Vettel, who names his cars.
"My original car was called ‘Kate’. But then it got smashed at the opening race in Australia. So we called this one ‘Kate's Dirty Sister’ because it is more aggressive and faster," Vettel said.
from the F1-Live article . .. .. great eh?

I named my car Vesper. True, I'm not a Formula One driver, but I did name her.

Vettel's sense of humour is great. He would probably make superb company at a dinner.

He could be the Rossi of F1 if he carries on like this...!
"will you stop him playing tennis then?", referring to Montoya's famous shoulder injury, to which Whitmarsh replied "well, it's very difficult to play tennis on a motorbike"

Slightly less amusing was the mess-up with the national anthems. As a team registered in Austria we should have heard Land der Berge, Land am Strome, the country’s national anthem.

1. We like Mark Webber (in case readers/listeners haven't worked that out yet).
2. We like Mark Webber dominating his team-mates.
3. We don't like Mark Webber not dominating his team-mates.
4. We don't like team-mates who dominate Mark Webber.
BUT
5. One finds it impossible not to like Sebastian Vettel.
What a breath of fresh air. Talented yet down-to-earth, honest and not big-headed. Hope it stays that way.

Vettel is a great talent and he's actually quite charismatic too, yet in a very refined way. He's got the cheeky/playful demeanour spot on - as opposed to Irvine who was just, well.... ![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Re: Kate's Dirty Sister
It was cool when he said to Coulthard on the grid "You are the champion when it comes to women". I just he doesn't lose his exuberance with age, he's a star. He has 100 times the charisma of Jenson Button, who will probably win the championship this year and is duller than a soft furnishings warehouse open day. The sooner Vettel wins a championship the better for F1.

If Brawn can't keep the development rate up through the year, then Sebastian Vettel will end up one of the best champions (as a person) F1 has ever had.

Re: Kate's Dirty Sister
Depends. Brawn are far better than the Red Bulls in the dry. You're basing that assessment on one very wet race, forgetting just how much Button and Barrichello - mostly Button - have been able to do in Melbourne and Malaysia. Don't you remember the way Button was able to put enough of a gap between himself and everyone else at Sepang so that when he came out of the pits he was still miles ahead?Alianora La Canta wrote:If Brawn can't keep the development rate up through the year, then Sebastian Vettel will end up one of the best champions (as a person) F1 has ever had.

Re: Kate's Dirty Sister
I like Vettel as much as everyone else. I just wonder if, when every F1 fan jumps ship to support him because of the media hype - as they did with Lewis - we won't all think he's not all that great. So far, I have to say, he looks an astonishingly good character!
