The reject youtube thread
Re: The reject youtube thread
It's such a shame that these videos get pulled so quickly. Having watched the French GP from 86 earlier with 3 classic reject moments I wish I could share them....

That's pretty rejectful right there.

Well, the race track in question is,believe it or not, sort of purpose built. The reason for all the road markings is because it is in a proving grounds facility.
I even tracked down the layout to here:http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5583467
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

I love the bit where the 2 cars end up in the ditch, particularly the bit where it looks like the driver on the left is going to give the other guy a bit of room, then thinks 'No, sod it, I'm going to drive you off the road after all'.
No truth in the rumours that the driver's name is Pastorov Maldonovsky apparently.

And we bring you back to the most amateurish mistake competition featuring Ralf Schumacher and Jean Alesi.

Yep. But I couldn't help but to slightly smirk at the start where the marshall slips and falls.

As a consolation for not being able to upload the Luca Badoer video from 1995, here's one from 1999 instead.

A case of the "red mist" coming down and getting the better of both of them - the commentator is right, it was utter lunacy for both of them to continue smashing into each other and something that I hope was dealt with firmly considering the risk they posed to each other and to the other drivers around them.
Martin Brundle, on watching a replay of Grosjean spinning:
"The problem with Grosjean is that he want to take a look back at the corner he's just exited"

Re: The reject youtube thread
Not about rejects per se, but a reject video. Remember when IndyCar used to put up great highlights videos on it's YouTube account?
They don't anymore!
That said, at least IndyCar do care about the fans concerning YouTube, something that F1 won't do. https://twitter.com/f1fanatic_co_uk/status/235645545266417665

Jeez, that YouTube video is awful - I actually turned it off after 1 minute rather than watch the rest. Looks like the work-experience boy got a new
version of Nerovision and was randomly adding transition effects every 5 seconds ... Either that or reality is imitating 'art' and Indycar is actually
becoming more like the 'Driven' film ...

The red flags are out for a heavy crash with wreckage strewn across the track. You are Pastor Maldonado. Do you:
A. Slow down to a crawl
B. Stop
C. Power through full speed ahead.
Take a guess which option Pastor took.

Reminds me of a certain 2-time world champion, (albeit under safety car conditions rather than red flags).
It was B, wasn't it?!

It's probably been said before, but the 1982 review commentary is hilarious!
"And Niki Lauda went past De Cesaris, leaving the Italian eith nothing to do except have his trademark crash"
"The San Marino Grand Prix was held in Imola, because their was no room for a Grand Prix in San Marino. Unless it is held on a table top with slot cars"

Join the club. I notice that Lord Plato failed to mention the fairly important fact that he had basically brake-tested Aron Smith all the way to the corner (something he does to drivers quite regularly) and then wondered why Aron nudged him when the only other option open to him was to fly off the outside of the corner instead.
Personally, I laughed my head off, especially as TOCA seem to be doing their best to make that idiot win by constantly handicapping the Hondas at every race by making them turn the boost lower and lower.

Yeah, when Smith punted him off, Smith actually held the racing line and Plato tried chopping across him (well thats what it looked like to me). And hes also seemingly whinging about the turbo Hondas all the time, yet I don't think anybody was whinging when a certain Mr Plato had the advantage of a turbo'd Seat Leon. I really do not like him
