It was a solid strategy. You can't blame the strategists for a mechanical failure - who plans for that?
Quite - nobody within the team could have anticipated that Alonso would have picked up damage to his rear anti roll bar, so getting Alonso to give Massa a tow was probably a damage limitation move by the team to at least get Massa up as high as he could and stick a better chance of denying Vettel points.

Force India do have a chance of another decent haul of points today, which might help them open up a bit of a gap between themselves and Williams in the WCC. Hulkenberg was very unlucky in qualifying, but he has excellent straight line speed and put in some decent times during the longer runs on Friday, whilst Di Resta seems to have found a bit of form with those excellent qualifying laps - I only hope that both drivers make it through the usual first corner carnage intact.
