Get rid.
Statistically, as far as I am aware anyway, accidents are more likely to happen with rolling starts than standing starts - moreover, due to the fact that the cars are travelling at much higher velocities when entering the first turn, the consequences of an accident tend to be more severe.

Recently, that tends to be more of an issue in touring cars than in Formula One (or any single seater for that matter) due to the relative position of the fuel tanks between the two types of cars. The main concern of startline crashes in single-seaters is errant wheels and suspension pieces rather than a fuel spill.

How come you're calling him Maldolan? I've noticed you doing so a lot lately.
A few of my sim racing buddies started to call him that. It comes from the really stupid but somehow amusing Dolan comics (NSFW, in case you were wondering)... the name was far more apt when he was driving like a tool, which he hasn't done much of lately.
Dolan is an MS Paint web comic series featuring a variety of poorly drawn Disney cartoon characters. The main character Dolan, based on Donald Duck, is often portrayed as a psychotic killer and sex addict.

Fun fact: Dolan originated on Finnish imageboards, from where it spread and started corrupting image websites everywhere in the world.

While I am here: those edits to RL tracks in the "Beat Hermann Tilke" thread are horrible and would severely damage any hope of overtaking on those tracks.

Alright here we go; Paul di Resta deserves a move up the grid more than Nico Hulkenberg. Yeah, I know Hulkenberg hit unrejectification first, and he's had some damn impressive drives - I'd even say he has the edge in raw pace. But here's the kicker; di Resta's got 7 points over him. Even though he's had, due to technical problems, absolute shockers in Belgium and Italy, both of which should've been solid points hauls for him. He seems to have fewer off days than Hulkenberg, and the pace difference isn't enough for Hulkenberg to bridge that fact. Hulkenberg still seems a bit raw to me, whereas di Resta has moved on from his crashtastic opening half to 2011.

baumgartner scored 1 or 2 points compared to bruni's 0
congrats on the 200 posts
Baumgartner only scored a point because he was the last finisher, finishing 2 laps behind the 7th. Bruni beat him during qualifying the full season with more than half a second difference, and Baumgartner still holds the record of spending 509 laps in last place in a single season, so he deserves the title.

Gonna get run outta town with this one, but if Vettel wins the title again this year, you have to rank him ahead of Senna. They both will have three titles, but Vettel will have won all three by being just legit better. Senna won one "real" title IMO, the other he got despite his teammate scoring more points, and the "Suzuka Slam" has been beaten to death. Seb, while having a team which favors him (like 90% of all WDCs) has not had any asteriks next to his titles.

I think that, in a way Nelson Piquet, as triple-champion, is underrated, so will Vettel be an overrated triple-champion. The first one was because he wasn't considered the fastest driver but was instead more intelligent and because Brabham was arguably cheating and the latter because he isn't the fastest driver out there and because of his superior machinery.
I will give you one thing though, Vettel is certainly faster than Webber. Most of the times.

I honestly don't think there is many team orders in F1, because they would be absolutely stupid to let someone through because they are "faster." And I don't think Red Bull is favouring anyone either.

That is essentially the line of thought that Stewart has taken in a recent interview - that whilst Vettel now has a good chance of becoming a triple world champion, Stewart's attitude is that Newey has been a more decisive factor for Vettel's success than Vettel's inherent performance. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19969175

Either I am increasingly past it or it is him who is finally talking some sense." Whatever that is, it is up to you guys!

Well, sometimes there are times when a figure that you normally would disagree with comes up with a point that you agree with - Luca di Montezemolo often talks rubbish or purely out of his own self interest, but sometimes he does come up with points that I and others agree on (such as relaxing some of the regulations on engine development).
Equally, to a certain extent the asterik might not be against Vettel's name, but it may be against the team that he has driven for - whilst some of the questions over the legality of Red Bull's cars in recent years might in part be down to other teams seeking to hinder them, it has to be said that, in some areas, Red Bull has pushed the boundaries of what might be considered acceptable design practise in recent years (ask the photographer Darren Heath, for example, what he thinks about the photos of flexing front wings that he took in 2010 and 2011). In the same way that many consider that Brabham's cheating devalues Piquet's achievements, some might argue that the same logic applies for Vettel and his titles with Red Bull.
Martin Brundle, on watching a replay of Grosjean spinning: "The problem with Grosjean is that he want to take a look back at the corner he's just exited"
One doesn't know what to say - to an extent, cheating is generalized among teams, we just didn't know to what extent. You could say Red Bull's alleged cheating is more blatant.
So, are Vettel's achievements undermined by Adrian Newey's genius on the drawing board? I think that's unfair. While Vettel has consistently benefitted from having the fastest cars on the grid, from mid-2009 up until now, the first part of this season being a hollow period. Still, while you could argue Vettel made fundamental mistakes in 2009 and 2010, he was flawless last year and most of this season. Mark Webber, in the other car, was noticeably more subdued, particularly at crucial times. Drivers always seek to have the best cars at their disposal, it's up to them to exploit that equipment. F1 is a sport in which the human factor on the playing field accounts for only a part of the success, so you would have to judge Vettel relative to the performance of his team, and whether it's been proved the team did cheat or not. He beat Webber fair and straight ever since they've been team-mates. I'm no Vettel fan but that is a fact.

^This. We often knock Button for winning the WDC in what was unquestionably the best car, especially pre-Silverstone (I myself am guilty of this on occasion) but we fail to remember Rubens did nothing in the same car. Although he wasn't "allowed" to if you ask him......

Overtaking is not the primary concern at most street circuits. It's more like both providing a challenge to drivers and engineers alike, and the spectacle of showing 750+hp beasts serpenting around streets where road cars circulate every day.
