What? Bashing Bottas again?
There are two things that might give Bottas a seat: He is not crash-prone and he is not a bitter disappointment of a driver by trundling along battling with Toro Rossos when his team-mate shows how fast the car is (right before crashing into something. Or getting a penalty. Whichever comes first).
Judging by practice speeds Bottas would be trundling along behind the Toro Rossos
Practice is rarely a true showcase for speed...plus, he has outdone the other Williams drivers at other points during the season anyway.

But he isn't able to beat them on a regular basis. I mainly don't think he deserves a drive because even if there was any performance increase it would'nt be enough for the considerable amount of money that Williams would lose.

With 30 minutes to go in FP3, which was actually about 6 minutes ago, Narain Karthikeyan did his best Bruno Senna-impersonation. It was quite funny how he waved his hands in anger at the slower car in front. I didn't catch who it was, though. I was so intrigued by Narain's waving that I failed to notice who he waved at.
So, Webber 1st and Vettel 2nd? I smell team orders tomorrow a mile off.
Yeah, I'm that cynical.
That's not being cynical, that's the bleeding obvious. If I was Christian Horner I'd do the same. But who cares? Webber will fluff the start and be collected by the First Lap Nutcase anyway...
Watching the qualifying made me feel miserable. And no, it wasn't due to a Red Bull lockout...
It's the track. Some camera views really showed off the unused scrubland behind the main grandstand and it was really depressing; especially with the grey sky behind it. No wonder crowds are rubbish; there's got to be absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever.

Exactly, Webber won't lead into turn 1, even if his starts have somewhat improved this year. Vettel will lead into turn 1.

How do you figure that? If anything, Ferrari have improved since Suzuka. Vettel will probably gain on Alonso, and probably take the championship lead, but I wouldn't count Fernando out just yet.

Especially considering the better driver is in the red car.

This is true.

Unless Webber take out Vettel in the start.
Or Grosjean does the same.

Alonso came so close to being eliminated in Q1 it's not funny. As it was, he barely scraped in on the supersofts

Someone (I think it was on the BBC coverage) was saying that Alonso's Q1 lap was an incredibly tactful one as he didn't go all-out on those tyres to preserve them for the race, and only did the bare minimum he needed to get into Q2. If that's true, that was the dictionary definition of 'risky'.

He made it to Q3, and put the car on the second row. His practice times were pretty competitive too. Q1 was quite clearly, for whatever reason, an outlier.

Perhaps he was just breaking the tyres in for Q2?

So both Saubers smacked Button at the start. Dear oh dear oh dear.

I thought Kobayashi had a puncture that caused it, but evidently just his own fault, damn what a fail after such a storming drive in Japan *shakes head* Still interesting how Jenson was just stood at the side of the trackm evidently the recovery facilities are still below par

These marshalls are useless. Why is Rosberg's car still on the side of the track?

Rosberg's car still not recovered, if there's more indicidents this couild be trouble with regards to getting vehicle back to the garage. Oooh wonder what Button and Rosberg are chatting about? Nicely done Vergne! Kobaycrashi drive through, saw that one coming, race ruined.
