I seriously want Capcom to make Auto Modellista 2 for the next generation of consoles, and for Criterion to get their head out of EA's wallet and make a good game for once.
It's so disappointing that Burnout has been neglected while EA have Criterion working on Need for Speed... I mean, whilst Most Wanted 2 looks more like Burnout Paradise 2, the things that made Burnout great (damage modelling and Crash mode) cannot be included in a Need for Speed due to licencing restrictions that Burnout avoids with it's fictional vehicles.
I remember Auto Modellista as well, played that so much back in the day. The main thing I remember about it other than the cel-shaded graphics was the unlockable Tamiya mode, which turned your car into an RC car. If you like the touge style courses in Auto Modellista, check out Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2/Kaido Racer 2 (for PS2), it's probably the most in-depth Touge game out there and has a varied selection of JDM cars... including a Suzuki Carry kei-truck

Oh, and it also has an intro song by Daiki Kasho.

So many different cars to choose from, and rallies that lasted as much as 25 miles. No other rally game that I know of to date, that has come that close to emulating that much perspective into it.
If you thought Mobil 1 RC was great, give Richard Burns Rally a try. It's easily the most realistic rally sim out there and has a very unforgiving level of difficulty. It didn't come with many cars or huge 25 mile stages, however there is a massive mod called RSRBR that adds many vehicles and stages to the game. I only had it on PS2 though, and despite being on console - which usually to the PC elitists means that the game has been dumbed down - it was still fearsomely difficult, especially without a FFB wheel.
This is a cool spot.
