Problems with accessing sub forums?
Re: Problems with accessing sub forums?
As a note, both F1rejects website and forum were offline all this morning and until a few minutes ago.

I keep getting 500 internal server errors today, and the forum as a whole has been slow to load up for the last few days.

Same problems here, the server errors appear to occur when the board automatically redirects me

That's strange, I haven't got that here but I have on a couple of other forums I visit.

This must be the more eccentric spambot that I've ever seen.
Other than Viresh who managed to make himself look human for a month and even got away with participating in Predicament Predictions (Yes, being human is not a pre-requisite for participation )

From memory, if finished something like =4th in a round and ended up with 13 points overall.

That's because (if I remember correctly) "it" just copied my predictions for that round

I think that, for the moment, most of us are at something of a loss - whether it was, as pasta_maldonado fears, a directed attack on the forums or whether it was just down to some other sort of major malfunction is something that we'll have to wait and see about.

Re: Problems with accessing sub forums?
It went down around the time of the Olympic ceremony starting.
I would theorise this website is hosted on a shared server, as this is a low cost method of web hosting. Excessive traffic to a different website hosted on the same server may have caused the entire server to die and thus take F1 Rejects with it. The outage may have corrupted the forum's MySQL tables and eventually run a repair table diagnostic by itself (I think it can do it on it's own, but I'm not sure. I don't imagine Enoch knows how to do this manually!).
Essentially it will have been taken down by someone else's problem. Like Rosberg, Petrov and Liuzzi at Monza last year. That for me is the most logical reason at least.

The whole site was down at around the time the Olympic's opening ceremony began, and today there was an SQL problem which disabled the forum, but the main site was accessible.
So yeah, it was an universal problem.

The thought occurs: maybe the problems with the Alternative Championships wiki is F1 Rejects throwing its first major teenage strop...

There was a very slight downtime on my end - about 10 minutes or so. Anyone else had problems?
Speaking of which, I'd like to propose that in the case of severe forum failure which lasts for multiple hours, people should try to join the IRC channel or the F1RWRS commentary room to stay in contact with each other.

The forums were really slow to load up over the last half hour, sometimes not loading the page at all. This seems a regular occurence at this time, so I don't know.
