Hello, everyone! I'm Chives. I've heard quite a bit about this place, and I'd thought I'd stop by. I live (sort of) in the middle of nowhere in Texas. I've been a fan of many different forms of motorsports, including Formula 1, but I've never really followed Formula 1 that closely until the last year or so. I do remember waking up extremely early when I was younger and watching F1, though.

My favorite teams include Force India, Scuderia Toro Rosso, Sauber, and Lotus.

Nice to meet all of you, and I hope to stay around. ;)

Hello everyone, my name is Theo. Orginally from Morecambe, in Lancashire, I now live in Oxford as I am at Oxford Brookes University studying engineering. 8-)

I've long followed this site and read the articles, but never registered for the forum, so I thought I'd come have a look! :D

I've followed F1 for as long as I can remember, my earliest memory of F1 being the Hill/Schumacher Monza '95 collision. When I was younger I followed Damon Hill alot, since I was about 4 and he was still driving for Williams. After he went to Jordan, I started following the plucky Irish team, which I did until it was sold to Midland. I don't really support anyone in F1 anymore, but I do have a soft sport for Force India, for obvious reasons!

Random reject fact: I can remember being mystified for years by pictures of the Fortis in a edition of Autosport in 1996 when they were in the green Shannon livery. I think I eventually came to thinking Forti was the works Ford team.... Oh the innocence of youth!

Come to think of it, with this website being based in Australia, and a large chunk of the members here being Australian, we're all Northerners to their eyes.

Hello! Sorry about the delay in replying, have been far to consumed plotting a revival of the Theodore name over in the Perry McCarthey section! I'm studying Motorsport Engineering, which as far as I'm told is Mechanical engineering but with Motorsport 3rd year modules already selected.... I've finshed my 2nd year and am currently on placement with BMW Mini, as I couldn't find a motorsport placement :(

Superb! I did the Cranfield Motorsport Engineering and Management MSc. I almost went to Oxford Brookes in 1997 but I decided against it.
It's not going to be easy to find a Motorsport placement, especially now. It'll be worth your while to harass teams in British championships from about February, when people have confirmed their budgets.

Thnaks for the tip about budget confirmation! I'm planning on badgering some team back in Lancashire about a placement for this summer (after I've finished at BMW), as I know Special Tuning Racing and Frank Wrathall are based not far from me. Plus with it being near home I can save on rent and work for free. Yeah, not many people in my year got placements in racing. I know it would be easier to find one in Oxfordshire but I've a spent about 15 days or so at home in the past 14 months or so, so I'd like to spend one last summer in Lancashire before flying the nest! Even those with alot of FStudent experience found it difficult - If i'd done FS it probs would be a bit easier. But I got in with a student team known as OUMF (Oxford Universities Motosport Foundation) and that's been good experience. But I'd really like to get some experience in proffesional racing! :D I'm currently on track to do the MEng course at Brookes, so hopefully that will help me stand out from the crowd abit.

Hi guys. My name's Andrew, I'm 16, I live in England and I'm a big fan of F1. I read 1 Rejects a lot, as I think the late 80's- early 90's were a great time for F1, with some of the best cars and drivers (even though I wasn't alive to see it). This sight is also useful for finding out about the lesser-known faces of the sport, and it's reviews of the Grand Prix's make good reading IMO.

Hello. My friend (in reality, whatever that is) Idefan encouraged me to join these forums. I am from the UK and a passionate lifelong Williams fan. This was quite a depressing existence until Spain last year, but life has been great ever since!

I'm part of a couple of other F1 forums and take a keen interest in the TV aspect in particular.

When I'm not worshiping a small print out of Frank Williams, I spend my time commuting and working.

Welcome to the forums! Excellent choice of favourite team. I've developed a soft spot for Williams over the last few years.

I'm part of a couple of other F1 forums and take a keen interest in the TV aspect in particular.

When I'm not worshiping a small print out of Frank Williams, I spend my time commuting and working.

Welcome! Williams are everyone's second favourite team :)

No it isn't!

And I spend my free time worshipping a small print out of Gabriele Rumi. Minardi was improving really well after he took over, it was a shame he died before he could take them further up the grid.

Welcome to the forum.
I don't really have a favourite team, but Williams is one of them I like. :-)
I'm Perry McCarthy and Taki Inoue's fan number 1 and I always will be.

hello all!

I'm Aquino, from Brazil. I've listened the F1Rejects podcast for a few years now, and the forum is mentioned quite often.. Since I usually can only manage to follow one forum at a time, I never joined here.
But well...there's a first time for everything, as it's said. After some weeks of only reading stuff here, I say hello all! :)

Regards.
