F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R20 Brazil
For the final time this season.
Vettel - 9 - The term "lucky bastard" isn't strong enough on this occasion. But still, to keep his car running after that almighty knock...
Webber - 8 - Went off the track about 1500 times this afternoon, and still finished 4th.
Hamilton - 7 - Wrong place, wrong time. Docked a point for passing Hulkenberg whilst he was leading.
Button - 10 - As I said in the race thread, kept his head whilst everyone else was losing theirs.
Alonso - 9 - Fantastic drive, but just not enough for the title.
Massa - 10 - For all that's fair, please Felipe, carry this form into next season.
Schumacher - 9 - A great way to bow out of the sport.
Rosberg - 3 - Did absolutely sod-all before and after his puncture.
Raikkonen - 5 - Comedy gold.
Grosjean - 1 - Two crashes in two days. Dear me.
Di Resta - 0 - Go home, you don't belong in F1.
Hulkenberg - 9 - But for one mistake, which was fair considering the atrocious conditions, he would've won this.
Kobayashi - 7 - For what might be his final F1 race, he had a good run out there
Perez - 5 - Unlucky to get caught in the mess that the Williams team had made.
Maldonado - 3 - Silly penalty, and then drove 4 corners before crashing into the mess his team mate had made.
Senna - 0 - Hopefully this is the final time we see this muppet in F1.
Ricciardo - 5 - Meh.
Vergne - 8 - Somehow bagged himself a haul of points from absolutely nowhere.
Kovalainen - 6 - Farewell Heikki.
Petrov - 10 - Has probably saved his career with this drive.
Glock - 6 - Ran well during the hectic first 25 laps, but then disappeared into anonymous territory.
Pic - 10 - Best race of his career, was so unlucky not to finish ahead of Petrov
De La Rosa - 6 - Kept it going
Karthikeyan - 7 - Kudos for finishing the race, because I was convinced he'd crash before long.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R20 Brazil
Vettel - 8: A great recovery drive, but he shouldn't have had to do it; he left way too much space on the inside of turn 4, and was begging for someone to come up the inside like Senna did.
Webber - 6: Was sliding all over the place and looked completely worthless out there, to be honest. But he finished 4th so I'll give him some props for doing that, somehow.
Red Bull - 6: That was closer than it should've been
Hamilton - 10: I'm truly gutted for him. He really deserved to win that one, and again was taken out not of his own volition.
Button - 9: A great win, but was strangely off the pace in the middle of the race up until the Hulkenberg-Hamilton collision. Still, drove well and judged the conditions brilliantly.
McLaren - 10: Why could you not do this for the whole season? Why?
Alonso - 9: Great drive, but it wasn't perfect - he went off twice. Still managed to maximise his position though.
Massa - 10: Did a fantastic job helping Alonso, he was everything you'd want in a rear gunner on a day like today.
Ferrari - 10: Did the absolute best they could.
Schumacher - 7: Fairly average, but stayed under the rader and picked up some points to end his career.
Rosberg - 1: Hamilton's gonna have him for breakfast next year...
Mercedes - 7: Actually not bad for once.
Raikkonen - 3: Was anonymous, except for when he was sliding around and took a jaunt back on to the old track.
Grosjean - 1: A very poor end to a season that should've been so much better.
Lotus - 2: Not the way they would've wanted to end the year.
Di Resta - 2: Does not deserve to be in F1 next year.
Hulkenberg - 9: If only he waited for a better opportunity...
Force India - 10: Awesome to see the Force fighting for another win.
Kobayashi - 6: Brilliant performance, then chucks it all away trying to pass Schumacher. Sayonara, Kamui, it was so great while it lasted.
Perez - 5: Just got caught up in Vettel's mess.
Sauber - 7: Could've passed Mercedes in this race, considering how things went, but it just didn't pan out for them.
Maldonado - 5: Don't know what happened to him.
Senna - 5: The Vettel collision was not his fault - it was the race start, he was in the midfield and there was a massive gap to the inside of Vettel. Of course he's going to go for it.
Williams - 5: Hard to say how they would've done with two lap 1 retirements.
Ricciardo - 5: Thought he would've bagged the points for Toro Rosso, but somehow didn't.
Vergne - 8: Where did he come from!?
Toro Rosso - 5: About what you would expect.
Kovalainen - 6: Fought hard in the beginning, but was irrelevant at the end. I think this is it for Heikki.
Petrov - 10: There's the Vitaly I know and love!
Caterham - 7: Came good when it counted.
Glock - 6: See Kovalainen. Except he'll be back next year.
Pic - 10: Proved why he deserves another year in F1 right there.
Marussia - 7: They did well to take it to Caterham, I'll give them that.
De La Rosa - 5
Karthikeyan - 5
HRT - 5: Honestly didn't see them at all, I was too busy focusing on everything else.
Webber - 6: Was sliding all over the place and looked completely worthless out there, to be honest. But he finished 4th so I'll give him some props for doing that, somehow.

Vettel - 9 - Lucky Bastard indeed.
Webber - 8 - Despite going off the track several times, he made a nice drive to 4th.
Hamilton - 7: Good drive, but I think McLaren are glad to be rid of him.
Button - 10: Kept his head together to get a well deserved win
Alonso - 9: Gave it all of his might in that car. Sadly it wasn't enough.
Massa - 10: I hope we have seen the return of the Massa from 08.
Schumacher - 9: Excellent way to gracefully bow out of the sport.
Rosberg - 3: Terrible all race.
Raikkonen - 5: Got lost?! On Interlagos?!
Grosjean - 3: The next Andrea de Cesaris.
Di Resta - 1: No where near his teammate.
Hulkenberg - 10: Should have won this race. I think he would have had it not been for the saftey car.
Kobayashi - 9 : Great run for Sauber in what might be his last race.
Perez - 5: Out on first lap, so inconclusive.
Maldonado - 4: Anonymous.
Senna - 1: Why didn't you take Vettel with you?! If fact, why did you crash at all?!
Ricciardo - 6: Had a good climb, but soon dropped back.
Vergne - 8: Points for Torro Rosso!
Kovalainen - 6: Average.
Petrov - 10: Saved Caterham from being ROTY in my opinion.
Glock - 6: Did well at first, but soon dropped like a rock.
Pic - 9: Good drive, but not enough to catch Petrov.
De La Rosa - 6: Another solid drive.
Karthikeyan - 7: Finished the race for once.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R20 Brazil
Vettel 7 - it was very Hamilton-esque (in 2008) wasn't it?
Webber 7 - beat his teammate for the first time since Silverstone was it? His off when side-by-side with The Finger was funny though.
Button 9 - perfect conditions for him but boy did he take advantage when everyone else was losing their heads
Hamilton 9 - how unlucky has he been this year? Gutted he missed out on a great McLaren send-off.
Alonso 7 - thought he was a bit disappointing to be honest
Massa 9 - excellent podium and team game, quite impressed with his 2nd half of the year (Webber did the opposite)
Schumacher 9 - great send-off for him in the points
Rosberg 5 - apart from his puncture did we ever see him?
Raikkonen 5 - gutted he didn't complete every lap of the year but he gave me a great laugh by getting lost!
Grosjean 3 - poor mechanics, they've had a gruelling year
Di Resta 3 - did two-thirds of sod-all then binned it while his teammate was in with a shot of winning.
Hulkenberg 8 - how frustrating was that collision? Great pace though.
Kobayashi 8 - great to see him mixing it with the title contenders in what may be his last race
Perez 6 - I don't think he could help this exit
Ricciardo 5 - how did he end up behind a Caterham and a Marussia?
Vergne 8 - he likes his 8ths doesn't he? Every time he's been in the points it's been for 8th place.
Maldonado 8 - didn't see how he went out but he deserves credit for his qualifying even if he didn't keep his grid position
Senna 6 - why didn't you hit Vettel harder?
Kovalainen 5
Petrov 9 - a career-saving result?
Glock 7
Pic 7 - did he purposely let Petrov past?
De La Rosa 6
Karthikeyan 5
Webber 7 - beat his teammate for the first time since Silverstone was it? His off when side-by-side with The Finger was funny though.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R20 Brazil
Vettel - 8: Fault in the collision with Senna. After that he drove one of the best recovery drives I've seen. His car was damaged, he kept cool with the Kobayashi's , HRT's, Marussia's in quite difficult conditions.
Webber - 5: Couldn't keep up with anyone from Hulkenberg, McLaren, Vettel (in terms of pace), Ferrari's. Mistakes galored. Atleast he brought it home in a decent place.
Hamilton - 9: If it weren't for the crash it would've been interesting to see who could've won. Hulkenberg certainly had the pace in the wet on the dry tires but in the end even he would've had to change to intermediates. Back to Hamster though, he got taken out from what was P1, cruel luck.
Button - 9: Drove well but inherited the win.
Alonso - 8: Maximed the result today but he wasn't really that magical in the end. I believe that in a competition Massa would've finished ahead of him. He also was sliding all over the place, probably outdriving the car. (Although he did save it after the senna S which was incredible).
Massa - 9: Outperformed Alonso today.
Raikkonen - 5: Not one of his best performances. The car didn't look good in the wet though. Plus 1 point for creating more memorable moments, which to be fair, showed his talent. Also showed that he might have the best instincts when it comes to racing. How he avoided Vettel on lap 1 was world class, also the fight with Schumacher.
Grosjean - 4: So Grosjean can't drive in mixed conditions apparently. He binned it by putting the wheels on the white line.
Schumacher - 8: I feel he drove a pretty much maximun result what he could get from the car.
Rosberg - 6: While not on Michael's level today he had a puncture.
Perez - 6: 1st lap crash, would've been interesting to see what he could've done since Kobayashi drove quite well.
Kobayashi - 7: Was very good for the first 60% of the race. But what happened in the latter parts? He seemed to struggle.
Hulkenberg - 9: The accident was his fault. Brilliant drive though, even after the unfair DT.
di Resta - 3: He was in contention for 8th at one point. Then decided to drop out of the points and eventually bin it Alonso 2003 style.
Maldonado - 2: Crashed out on lap 1
Senna - 6: Vettel turned into him, what could he do. There was a gap and he went for it since he got a good start.
Ricciardo - 6
Vergne - 8: Strong performance. Outperformed Ricciardo.
Kovalainen - 7 - Just noticed he scored the 10th (!) fastest lap of the race.
Petrov - 9: There's the Vitaly I know and love!

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R20 Brazil
Vettel 8 - the second great recovery in three races, I love how he was the fastest in the final laps can't get better because of his poor start which got him in trouble
Webber 8 - good, strong race to finish with, the contact with Kobayashi didn't help him, but still a strong result
Button 9 - great drive in the beginning, then lost his great advantage with Hülkenberg; in the end, he was lucky to get back into P1
Hamilton 8 - almost capitalized on the SC, but got hit, unlucky there
Alonso 8 - great drive in the beginning, but didn't have the plus to go for the win
Massa 8 - strong race in Brazil, I hope he can keep his form
Schumacher 6 - no idea, how he got into the points
Rosberg 5 - he was doing ok until the puncture, I guess
Raikkonen 5 - he wasn't strong today, the circumstances didn't suit his car - but still takes the moment of the day
Grosjean 2 - crash at quali, crash at race...
Di Resta 2 -stuck in the midfield, spun, crashed out
Hülkenberg 8 - was on his way to a 10, but couldn't take it all the way home; still, I'm not willing to be harsher because without the SC I doubt those mistakes would've happened
Kobayashi 6 - ups and downs, had the chance to go out really well, but couldn't really do that
Perez N/A - got caught in the incident, unlucky
Ricciardo 6 - it was okay from him
Vergne 6 - lucky to have had the opportunity to unlap himself
Maldonado N/A - just no idea what happened to him
Senna 1 - no how you wanna finish the year - lucky Vettel didn't suffer more serious damage
Kovalainen 6 - good race
Petrov 8 - got Caterham a precious 11th, might put him into a strong position for next year
De La Rosa 6 - was in the points
Karthikeyan 6 - did ok, caused no trouble on a track it was hard
Glock 7 - was doing great even with a bigger mistake, I don't know why he couldn't remain there
Pic 8 - Alonso tricked him into letting Petrov go - or did he help his team next year?
Webber 8 - good, strong race to finish with, the contact with Kobayashi didn't help him, but still a strong result
Button 9 - great drive in the beginning, then lost his great advantage with Hülkenberg; in the end, he was lucky to get back into P1

Sebastian Vettel
Q: 6 | R: 10 | Average: 8 | F1R: 10 | Driver of the Season
Stupendously good recovery drive, considering he had damage for 95% of the race, had to drive with the very worst engine map and had to endure a horrible strategy blunder, not to mention an idiotic Webber making his championship run harder than needed by screwing him over at the start and for 3 consecutive laps once Vettel caught up. If there was any doubt that he is better than Alonso, those doubts have been well and truly shattered. Eat it, whiners.
Mark Webber
Q: 8 | R: 6 | Average: 7 | F1R: 7
Idiot.
Jenson Button
Q: 9 | R: 9 | Average: 9 | F1R: 9
Loses points for being outmatched by Hulkenberg early on.
Lewis Hamilton
Q: 9 | R: 9 | Average: 9 | F1R: 9
Poor guy. Deserved so much more this season.
Fernando Alonso
Q: 4 | R: 8 | Average: 6 | F1R: 7
And that is how you lose a championship.
Felipe Massa
Q: 10 | R: 10 | Average: 10 | F1R: 10 | Best Driver
I am going to say it here and now: Felipe Massa was the best driver in the second half of the season. How he managed to get back ahead of Alonso AND outpace him despite being screwed over with the strategy twice in a row is simply impossible to explain.
Michael Schumacher
Q: 6 | R: 10 | Average: 8 | F1R: 9
And that is how you cap your career. Take note, Vettel. You, as his student, must follow in his footsteps now. PHENOMENAL on race day.

'Idiot' isn't good enough to describe him. Neither is 'reject'. I'll have to go with 'retard.' Leave F1. Now. And never return.
Heikki Kovalainen

Simply nowhere. You didn't exactly do much to justify why you should stay in F1...
Vitaly Petrov

What a drive. While he was a bit lucky, that doesn't take anything away from the fact that he almost made it into the points. More importantly, he saved Caterham. You deserve the drive, Vitaly. Far more than Heikki. Great job beating him.

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R20 Brazil
Red Bull Renault - 7/10
1 Sebastian Vettel - Did what he needed to do, and became triple world champion. 7/10.
2 Mark Webber - Good performance. Ahead of Vettel for once. 7/10.
McLaren Mercedes - 9/10
3 Jenson Button - Once again showed his style, and took the win, finishing the season on a high. 9/10.
4 Lewis Hamilton - Good performance, too; too bad for him that the contact with Hülkenberg caused terminal damage to his car. 9/10.
Scuderia Ferrari - 9/10
5 Fernando Alonso - Did everything he could, and maximized the result. Was apparently a little over the edge when he had those off-track moments. Didn't have the equipment to catch up with McLaren though. 8/10.
6 Felipe Massa - Great. That move on Webber to allow Alonso past them both was incredible. Helped Ferrari take 2nd on the WCC from McLaren, too. Let's see if this form carries over to next year... 10/10.
Mercedes AMG - 6/10
7 Michael Schumacher - Ended his career on a performance worthy of the champion he is, and salvaged points from being lapped before the first safety car. 7th place for the 7-time World Champion on car number 7 who started his very first race in 7th place... so his rating is 7/10.
8 Nico Rosberg - Lost in nowhere-land... 3/10.
Lotus Renault - 4/10
9 Kimi Räikkönen - Where are you going?! 5/10.
10 Romain Grosjean - Terrible all weekend. Knocked out in Q1 and crashed out of the race. 2/10.
Force India Mercedes - 10/10
11 Paul di Resta - Trundled around all day while his team mate was leading the race, and crashed out in the penultimate lap causing the race to end under yellow flags. 2/10.
12 Nico Hülkenberg - Oh what could have been... Not giving a 10 only because I think he lacked a bit of experience, his move on Hamilton would be perfectly good but the track conditions caused his car to slide and hit Hamilton. 9/10.
Sauber Ferrari - 6/10
14 Kamui Kobayashi - Was fighting in the midfield confusion all time, but ended up in the back side of it. Had his good moments though. 7/10.
15 Sergio Perez - Caught up in the Vettel/Senna incident. 6/10.
Toro Rosso Ferrari - 5/10
16 Daniel Ricciardo - Flirted with the points for a while, but ultimately couldn't score. Again. 5/10.
17 Jean-Eric Vergne - Had a rather eventful race, but finished in the points. 7/10.
Williams Renault - 5/10
18 Pastor Maldonado - Got an early DNF, didn't see where exactly. N/A.
19 Bruno Senna - Ironically, that's the second time he crashed in the curve with his family name - the 'Senna S'. Last year with Lotus-Renault he collided with Schumacher, this year with Vettel. This time I'd put it down to a racing incident, but that's definitely not going to help his future. 4/10.
Caterham Renault - 8/10
20 Heikki Kovalainen - Was alright pace-wise, running as high as 6th (!) at one point. The result was down to tire problems, he said on the official F1 site. 7/10.
21 Vitaly Petrov - Brought Caterham back to 10th in the WCC, and was oh so close to that elusive first point. That battle with Pic, using a car that was a lap ahead to get past, was great. 9/10.
HRT Cosworth - 5/10
22 Pedro de la Rosa - Finished the race, drove well. 5/10.
23 Narain Karthikeyan - Finished the race, didn't get in the way. 5/10.
Marussia Cosworth - 8/10
24 Timo Glock - Was doing alright until his incident with Vergne, took the HRTs but there wasn't much else he could do from then on. 6/10.
25 Charles Pic - Fought Petrov fiercely to keep Marussia in 10th place in the WCC, but it wasn't to be. An excellent 12th place finish, though. Showed that he deserves another year in F1. 9/10.
1 Sebastian Vettel - Did what he needed to do, and became triple world champion. 7/10.
2 Mark Webber - Good performance. Ahead of Vettel for once. 7/10.
McLaren Mercedes - 9/10

Re: F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R20 Brazil
De La Rosa: 9/10
Karthikeyan: 9/10
HRT: 9/10 I know it's a little high, but considering that HRT are most likely done, and they left with a double finish, they deserved it
Pic: 8/10 Nice job, Pic. Still don't know what to think about this Pic conspiracy thing. Don't think it's true though. I'm sure he fought for it.
Glock: 8/10 Was 12th at one point and then vanished. I've seen something on here concerning him and Vergne, so...yeah
Marussia: 8/10 Lads, you did everything you could and more to try and hold on to 10th in Constructors. Proud to support you.((Though I like Caterham more.))
Kovalainen: 7/10 Good job, Heikki. Ran as high as 6th at one point then fell back down the grid((apparently due to a high number of pit stops or something?)) and ended up 14th.
Petrov: 10/10 ATTA BOY, PETROV!!BRILLIANT race, mate!
Caterham: 9/10 Delighted that you recovered 10th from Marussia. Minus one for whatever it was that hurt Kovalainen's race
Di Resta: 3/10 I see this arrogant prat tooled around yet again while Hulkenberg was having the field for breakfast. I'll be glad to see him gone
Hulkenberg: 10/10 If only I could give you a higher rating than 10. AMAZING job.
Force India; 7/10 One of their cars held the lead for a LOOOOOOOONG time before the Stewards decided to screw Hulkenberg over. Di Resta Just tooled around
Perez: N/A
Kobayashi: 6/10
Sauber: 4/10 I suppose it could've been worse.....Look at how Williams ended the season....
Senna: N/A
Maldonado: N/A
Williams: N/A ....Double DNF
Schumacher; 8/10 Finished in the points in his last race! Good job
Rosberg: 4/10 You were here?Coulda fooled me
Mercedes: 7/10 Decent way to end the season. Got some points
Raikkonen: 7/10 Provided some utterly hilarious comedy and still finished in the points...Not bad
Grosjean: 3/10 Wrecked again...
Lotus: 6/10 Meh...
Ricciardo: 6/10
Vergne: 4/10 Loses points for apparently being the reason Glock's race was ruined
Toro Rosso: Meh 6/10
Alonso: 9/10 Did everything he possibly could to get the championship, but it wasnt to be
Massa: 9/10 Delighted that you remembered how to drive, Massa. Well deserved podium.
Ferrari: 9/10 So close, lads....
Hamilton: 7/10 Did a decent job. Loses points for whining after the race
Button: 10/10 The only front-runner I like wins the race! Good job Button!
McLaren: 9/10 Now if only they did this all year....
Vettel: 8/10 Brilliant recovery. You're still an extremely irritating person though
Webber: 7/10 Meh
Red Bull: 9/10 *shrug*
Karthikeyan: 9/10
HRT: 9/10 I know it's a little high, but considering that HRT are most likely done, and they left with a double finish, they deserved it

So what, you think leaving a piece of debris on the racing line in a high speed corner, that has already caused a puncture for one driver is just fine for the marshals to pick up or ignore, then?

No, I was talking about the stewards decision concerning the Hulkenberg-Hamilton incident.

My bad. Seemed like you were implying that Hulkenberg lost the lead because of the stewards.

It's fine. I wasn't very clear on what I was referring to.

You still have a couple of hours to rate for the last time this year! If you haven't rate any of the previous 19 races, don't let that stop you, we already had a new rater on the last event, as well.

Have you compiled overall statistics for each member who has voted? As in a ranking of who was the most harsh to least harsh voters? If not, don't worry about it, just curious!

Webber - 4 - Despite being 4th he was pretty average
Hamilton - 7 - Drove well, but made a mess of lapping cars.
Button - 10 - Fantastic race, deserved a win
Alonso - 9 - Drove his heart out and if it was 1992, he would be crowned champion
Massa - 8 - Drove quite a good race.
Schumacher - 6 - Drove well to score points
Rosberg - 1 - There were two Caterhams in front of you.
Raikkonen - 3 - Although in the points drove a shocker of a race.
Grosjean - 2 - Crash, crash, crash
Di Resta - 3 - Outclassed by his team mate again. Go home Di Resta!
Hulkenberg - 9 - Robbed by a unfair penalty and should have been on the podium
Kobayashi - 7 - Drove a strong race and got good points
Perez - 5 - Crashed out but was not his fault.
Maldonado - 2 - Drove quite a poor race, so out of it that I didn:t realise he was out of the race.
Senna - 6 - Vettel drove like a hooligan ending poor Sennas race.
Ricciardo - 2 - You got beaten by a Marussia...
Vergne - 7 - Good race for points
Kovalainen - 5 - Hampered by tyre stops was good when he was in the points

Glock - 3 - You got owned by Pic
Pic - 9 - Drove a great race to finish 12th
De La Rosa - 6 - Drove a good race.
Karthikeyan - 3 - Spanked again by De la Rosa
