No, he gets his points. Points were awarded for Monaco '96, so I see no reason not to give him points.
But all the points scorers were within 90% race distance when they retired in that race. Was that the case in this race? Or did Surer, Johansson etc not do enough laps?

I'm just gonna let them keep the points. I'm not sure about the race distance, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here.

Yeah, I know it would be a bit unrealistic but bathplug it, why not...

I'll make the boost deadline 21:00 GMT on Thursday. I just want to get as many races as possible in until the RWRS Canada round (because then the RDS will come off it's hiatus).

Also, could you put the upgrade system on the first post? Thank you
Oh, sure thing

I'll record all the financial bits after the deadline.
To those of you who haven't made up your minds yet, there's a test at Jerez after the next race. Don't forget to state the area you're focusing on if you're attending.

Ok, that's upgrades closed for now. I'll sort budgets now, and get the round done tomorrow afternoon
You can still choose to enter the test session until the race is up, stating your focus.

And we'll join in the test to focus on speed.
Noted
I'll try to stick the race results on before I go out tonight.

I'll keep applications for testing open for a little bit longer in light of race results. I'll then run it on Sunday.

No, you still can

The sun was shining on the Jerez circuit, as 9 teams took to the circuit. New parts were tried, and with such good conditions the teams picked up a lot of valuable data.

I think it's time to introduce an interesting new feature.
You can now interact with drivers via the media; essentially, you can choose to praise your drivers or give them an ultimatum to improve. This is done with short newspaper interviews, press conferences, and whatever else really.
If you praise a driver, it has a 25% chance of improving their confidence (increasing grip value), 50% of them continuing as they are (no change) and a 25% chance of them becoming complacent (decreasing grip value.) You may only praise a driver that has been doing noticeably well.
If you issue an ultimatum the driver has a 30% chance of improving, a 50% chance of staying the same, and a 20% of becoming unsettled which loses performance.
Each team can only schedule 3 media events per year, so use your chances wisely.
