Nordic countries competition.

Countries: Can be built anywhere in the following countries: Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The track can use bordercrossings between these countries if you want.

Lenght: 5 - 8 km.

Other: Public roads may be used. New roads may be built as long as no existing buildings/parks etc aren't destroyed. New bridges may be built (but not too long ofc). Try to make a it realistic (think about where you would place pit facilities etc but no formal explanation is needed). If using Gmap, use the first pin as the startline for easier read.

Deadline: Monday morning 9 AM CET.

Mine will be a port-side circuit in Iceland which I designed a few years ago. I'll upload it when I get home because I have an image saved on my laptop.

Also, Benetton, I think the rules are that the member who sets a challenge is not permitted to enter a track for that challenge, so your design will be ineligible for voting on.

The SA Government are idiots challenge

The Government in South Australia have long wanted to restore the Horse Racing track that sits on where the start-finish loop of the Adelaide Street Circuit is. Almost everyone knows this isn't going to happen but in this hypothetical situation the fools in charge of my state got their way. The V8 CEO, not wanting to lose one of the major events on the calendar, have commissioned the members of F1Rejects.com to design a new track for the Clipsal 500 to be moved to. There are some terms and conditions to abide by though.

The track must be between 3 and 6 KM
The track must be at least be at least 50% streets
You can create new roads but no existing buildings or structures can be destroyed
The track must be within 42 KM of Adelaide CBD

Here is my Adelaide Circuit - a short description as I see it follows:

The clockwise, 4.5km long circuit starts on Bundeys Road with a new, purpose-built pit complex on the southern side of the street. Turn 1 is a straightforward 90-degree right-hander, which takes us into a flowing section featuring a number of long, sweeping turns. This eventually opens out into a long-ish straight, at the end of which is the timing beam for the end of sector 1. The straight concludes with a fast left-hander at Turn 7, which is followed by another long right-hander and then a series of kinks that lead into one of the slowest parts of the track - the left-right complex of Turns 11 and 12. A straight follows, which is broken up by the kink of Turn 13. Turn 14 is a fast left-handed sweeper, then comes the flat-out Turn 15 before the track becomes much more 'street circuit-y', a change signalled by the 90-degree right-hander of Turn 16. The cars cut the timing beam of sector 2 as they set off along a short straight, before a series of 90-degree corners, separated by short straights, lead them back onto Bundeys Road. The fast Turn 21 completes the lap.

Here is the Rosella Circuit which is bound to get lots of people complaining about the noise and to close down a major bypass.

Lots of fast straights and corners with lots of mickey mouse roundabout chicanes to slow everything down. Oh and it is 5.995Km

Olympic Street Circuit

The challenge is to design a track at least partly in an Olympic village, either Summer or Winter. The track must be under 7 miles and will have to be realistic. Other than that you can do anything with it
