It sort of died with the transfer to live coverage instead but I may be able to put something together for Indy at the end of the season.

2015 F2RWRS DHL German Grand Prix

Race

Positives

Gillet ENB - It's starting to become abundantly clear that this kid is something special around street circuits; probably because he grew up with the Monaco GP right on his doorstep. Either way, it was obvious from lap 1 that Albertini was in it to win it. He didn't have it easy though as he had to make one more stop than all his immediate rivals, which meant he had to overtake cars on track to get back into the lead, and with some assistance from the incredibly from the uncharacteristically unhelpful Terry Hawkin meant that Albertini was able to overtake Alberto Cara late in the race to take home an emotional first victory. Gergor Pascal in the second car meanwhile was actually the beneficiary of luck, rather than being the victim like he usually is, as he also made his two stop strategy work to score his first career points in 6th place, giving Gillet their biggest ever points haul on a single weekend.

Yuka Katayama - The Japanese driver was back in fine form this weekend at a track which wasn't necessarily one of her favourites. She made up one third of the front-running trio that went for the one-stop strategy (the others being Cara and Wouter Lamberigts) which paid off handsomely for all three of them as they were 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the closing stages. With Cara retiring with a Transmission failure and Lamberigts losing out to Kremnicky, it was her who secured her first career podium with a fine second place season, which was especially crucial as Josh Carlisle was having one of his really off days down in the midfield.

RonDen Racing Engineering - As a whole, this was the team's best weekend of the year as they had managed to get both Lamberigts and Gianluigi Pazzini firing on all cylinders, and it showed with bother their drivers line-astern in 4th and 5th, behind stablemate Kremnicky in the works Alitalia-Lancia. All this was despite Pazzini getting involved in the first lap madness caused by the two Alitalias and Lamberigts having an awful pitstop which dropped him from second to about 7th on the road, and crucially behind both Cara and Katayama who had made literally no impression on the Belgian to that point. The result moves the team back ahead of MRT in the teams' championship while Lamberigts now sits an incredible 3rd in the title race as the lead Lancia car to boot.

Martin van der Maeyede - In his first ever F2RWRS race, Martin van der Maeyede proved he was more that capable of holding his own in the ultra-competitive F2RWRS field, even if he isn't able to have the measure of the front-runners just yet. The strategists pulled a masterstroke for the young Dutchman by putting him on the same one-stop plan as many of the leaders, which meant he was leading the race at one point and well on his way to a solid points finish. However, it wasn't to be as he got punted off into the armco at the final corner by Kremnicky, who was having one of his ultra-fast but over-aggressive weekends, ending Maeyede's afternoon.

Negatives

Simpson Motorsport - Just a few weeks ago, Michael Cameron was in control of the drivers' championship with the team in a very strong place in relation to the teams' title battle. After Germany however, the team is in crisis control with Cameron's transmission shearing itself after just a few laps while Anderson was just another of the many victims of Kremnicky's driving this weekend, the team's chances at both titles are slipping away at an alarming rate. With rumours that Anderson may be about to jump ship to focus on his IndyCar career also starting to surface, Dave Simpson's camp is not a very happy place to be right now

GRM Young Lions - After pre-qualifying, they were expected to do well in the race. Instead, what we got was more incompetence as firstly Daniel Melville's right rear wheel tried to make a bid for freedom, forcing him in for an unscheduled stop. After that point, Melville managed to do sod all for the rest of the afternoon on his way to a pointless 12th place finish. Carter Simpson meanwhile was on track for a minor points finish in the sister car before the Transmission decided to let itself go on the front straight. Coupled with Ashley Lilly's spectacular engine failure and Maeyede's accident, it was a miserable race all round for the Holden teams.

Castrol Jones Racing - If you include Josh Carlisle as part of the larger stable, then all three cars had pretty anonymous weekends as all three of them spent the entire race battling each other outside the points position. Hawkin was especially average as after his qualifying antics, he proceeded to be an absolute nuisance to the leaders and was probably the biggest contributors to Cara losing the win to Albertini. Meanwhile, Hansuke Shioya in the other car continues to be on ice that is thinning fast as despite scoring his best result this season, he's still well off where he needs to be in race trim as Jones are now facing the worrying prospect of falling back into Pre-Q.

Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen - Based on qualifying alone, Nieuwenhuijzen should have been in for a good race. Instead, he gets involved in the first lap contretemps, gets relegated to the back of the field and spends the rest of the afternoon being absolutely powerless to overtake the likes of Dave Anderson, Catarina Lopes and the two MRTs. Considering the other three Lancia powered cars had no problem passing people, the fact that Nieuwenhuijzen was so hopeless at the back of the field made his afternoon all the more embarrassing. A late electrical glitch meant that the Dutchman was relegated from 9th down to 13th but by then, it was a lost cause as he fell from 3rd down to 7th in the championship in the space of an hour.

Tommy Nash - If Jones Racing were poor, than this guy was especially awful as he spent all race steadily falling down the order. Despite being on the preferable one stop strategy, he still managed to achieve a grand total of sod all as he trolled around the midfield almost a second off the pace. His afternoon came to a merciful end when a wheel fell off his car but not before nearly taking out Cara and Albertini in one foul swoop. By the end of the race, the Canadian had done more than enough to win the coveted Reject of the Race award, and the ire of team boss Brett Johnson.

Sammy Jones wrote:Abysmal is all I have to say about this performance. Neither driver demonstrated any kind of talent that would warrant them being given an F1RWRS drive next year, so if they fancy mediocrity for the rest of their lives, I suggest they carry on as they are. For Hansuke, my patience is starting to wear a little thin. If there's no improvement over the rest of the year then I shall retract that offer for a drive in 2016. There are many other drivers deserving of a chance, particularly as Hansuke is now in his second year of F2.

Since the muppet has returned, Belgium will be done later today while Austria will be done on Saturday. For the foreseeable future. Raul Suoto Maior will replace Phil McCracken in the second Aeroracing car until a permanent replacement is found by Phoenix.

2015 F2RWRS TNT Belgian Grand Prix

Pre-Qualifying

It was the relative calm before the storm during the Thursday pre-qualifying session as five teams battled it out for the two team slots on the grid for Saturday's race. With Spa being one of the fastest circuits on the calender, it was excepted to be a Holden benefit in Pre-Q, and so it proved with the two works HRTs making it comfortably. However, Martin van der Maeyede undid all the good work he's done in the previous two events when he made a crucial error on his one and only hotlap, which meant Kingfisher couldn't follow suit as Ashley Lilly in the siter car produced a rather uninspired lap in reply. Johannes Rueckert meanwhile decided to throw the form book out the window to haul his Hydook-Aston kicking and screaming all the way to the fastest time, and give Hydook a berth into the main game for the race.

1. J. Rueckert (Hydook-Aston Martin): 1:59.438
2. D. Melville (Young Lions-Holden): +0.287
3. C. Simpson (Young Lions-Holden): +0.354

4. A. Buyvolov (Dofasco-Audi): +0.806
5. L. Seron (Dofasco-Audi): +0.817
6. A. Lilly (Kingfisher-Holden): +1.139
7. R. Suoto Maior (Aeroracing-Audi): +1.351
8. E. Molinaro (Hydook-Aston Martin): +1.543
9. T. Jason (Aeroracing-Audi): +1.811
10. M. van der Maeyede (Kingfisher-Holden): +2.421

Qualifying

The rain that had threatened all weekend arrived on Friday as the teams were greeted with the sight of a fairly wet track at Spa. With more raining arriving part-way through the session, it turned into a massive benefit of whomever set their fast lap early in the session, such as the two top Astons of Hansuke Shioya and the on-form Rueckert. Even they however couldn't stop Alberto Cara from claiming yet another pole position as the Tropican driver continues to prove his qualifying prowess, setting a time 7 tenths quicker than Gianluigi Pazzini and Bastian van Nieuwenhuijzen. Behind Shioya and Rueckert came Carter Simpson in the first of the two HRTs, Wouter Lamberigts and last weekend's winner Jean-Vincent Albertini. Down at MRT, it's probably a good thing that the Mad Uncle was nowhere to be seen at Spa, as he's too busy running Tropico with JLD boss Pierre Depault looking after the F2 operation for the next two events. Not that it stopped both cars being stranded on the back row for the second race in a row, having left their runs too late leaving them miles off the pace. Andrej Kremnicky also befell the same fate as he'll start nowhere while his championship hopes continue to fade away.

1. A. Cara (Beirao-BMW): 2:09.166 (1 point)
2. G. Pazzini (RonDen-Lancia): +0.675
3. B. van Nieuwenhuijzen (Alitalia-Lancia): +0.731
4. H. Shioya (Jones-Aston Martin): +0.790
5. J. Rueckert (Hydook-Aston Martin): +0.977
6. C. Simpson (GRM-Holden): +1.116
7. W. Lamberigts (RonDen-Lancia): +1.210
8. J-V. Albertini (Gillet-BMW): +1.311
9. T. Kazama (Aston Martin): +1.447
10. M. Cameron (Simpson-BMW): +1.480
11. J. Carlisle (Falik-BMW): +1.642
12. D. Melville (GRM-Holden): +1.717
13. T. Nash (Aston Martin): +1.833
14. D. Anderson (Simpson-BMW): +2.150
15. Y. Katayama (Falik-BMW): +2.885
16. E. Molinaro (Hydook-Aston Martin): +2.924
17. A. Kremnicky (Alitalia-Lancia): +3.063
18. G. Pascal (Gillet-BMW): +3.865
19. T. Hawkin (Jones-Aston Martin): +3.942
20. C. Lopes (Beirao-BMW): +4.574
21. M. Robertson (MRT-BMW): +4.956
22. A. Marchesi (MRT-BMW): +5.308

And because I'm feeling generous, I've actually decided to run the race live on the official F1 Rejects Chatroom with the race due to start sometime within the next 30 minutes

2015 F2RWRS TNT Belgian Grand Prix
Race

Positives

Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen - Before this year, literally nobody in the known universe expected him to hold a candle to his highly-rated teammate this season. But nobody's thinking that now as he became the first driver all year to win two events with a controlled victory to become Tomo Kazama's main challenger to the crown. He took the lead from stablemate Gianluigi Pazzini during the first pitstop and didn't look back after that point in the Ardennes rainstorm. The win also put the Dutchman back ahead of his teammate Andrej Kremnicky in the championship, and further solidified Alitalia's lead in the constructor's title.

Johannes Rueckert - The Bosevic brothers must be seriously wonder just where the hell THIS side of the German has been hiding all year and just how on earth to get it out of him more often. Here in Spa, he was simply THE form guy all weekend after topping Pre-Q and starting a competitive 5th on the grid. He continued that form into race day with a drive that mixed maturity with his famed aggression to haul the underpowered Hydook kicking and screaming all the way to a podium position, the second of his now faltering career. Whether it'll help Hydook in their quest to escape pre-qualifying however remains to be seen

Terry Hawkin - It's been a while since the Brit was in the positives section but he managed it this weekend with a mature drive to 3rd place. After a disastrous qualifying session, the youngest driver in the field managed to keep out of everyone's way and still make a classy move or two to wiggle his way into the points and, more importantly, make his one-stop strategy work as he found himself 5th after all the stops were done. Late retirements from Gianluigi Pazzini and Jean-Vincent Albertini however promoted the young Brit up to the podium, giving his team six crucial points as they avoid the fate of dropping back into pre-qualifying.

GRM Young Lions - A weekend like this was long overdue for the team as, for once, they had two drivers that were on form. Having made the gamble to split their drivers on strategies, the move vaulted Carter Simpson right into contention for a monster result as the only front-runner on the one-stopper before a boneheaded move from Alberto Cara along with several other incidents took him right out of contention. Daniel Melville in the other car meanwhile was a revelation as the F3RWRS title leader finally managed to achieve something in an F2RWRS car to score four crucial points in 5th place, the first points finish of his F2RWRS career.

Gianluigi Pazzini - Other than Rueckert, Gigi was easily the driver of the weekend as he simply destroyed Wouter Lamberigts on both Friday and Saturday when the weather took a turn for the worse. After jumping Cara at the start, Gigi simply didn't look back as he set out building a gap. However, traffic at both his pitstops plus with Nieuwenhuijzen simply having the pace edge on him meant that victory was out of the question, but a virtually guaranteed second was still a fine result for the Italian. That was, until the engine had a spectacular failure with just four laps to go, which denied Pazzini a well-deserved podium.

Negatives

Beirao Portugal - By the end of lap one, it almost seemed that Alberto Cara was rattled by the fact that Pazzini had his number on track, and the fact that Shioya nearly got by as well. After that, he simply wasn't the same as he simply fell down the order. And then followed it up with a boneheaded collision with Carter Simpson as the later was overtaking him. The stewards eventually deemed it to be a deliberate collision as Cara had violently moved to the left while the Australian was alongside, and promptly banned him for two events. After that point, he went up and down the field like a yo-yo before finishing outside the points in 9th. Meanwhile, Catarina Lopes was simply useless all weekend before a wheel made a bid for freedom, bringing her miserable afternoon to an end. By the end of it, they had done everything possible to take out Reject of the Race and were duly awarded it as a result.

Hansuke Shioya - At a time his career hangs in the balance, this was NOT the type of performance he needed to convince his employers Jones Racing to keep him. Despite his fantastic qualifying and race start, he fell down the top order faster than a rock as he simply couldn't adapt to the conditions. Eventually, he fell off the road altogether before a spectacular engine fire caused by an oil leak gave his day a merciful early end.

Tomo Kazama - The championship leader continually lucks into results as title rivals constantly found new ways of tripping over themselves and each other - until now. When the going got tough, Kazama simply didn't get going as she got involved in a few too many incidents for her liking, which meant she continually went up and down the order all afternoon as others also fell by the wayside. Eventually her luck ran out altogether as she slumped to her first pointless result of the season in 10th place, on a day where her teammate also failed to impress before an early collision signaled his retirement.

Simpson Motorsport - It's amazing how the team continue to find new and interesting ways of throwing away both titles as they managed to underwhelm yet again. Michael Cameron yet again spent all race mixing it up in a midfield he has no business of being in, before he lost it altogether at Blanchemont and planting it firmly into the wall. Dave Anderson meanwhile was utterly pointless trolling around the lower-midfield before the transmission called it quits midway through the race.

Oh dear... Beirão seemingly has a seat vacancy for the next two races. Any one out there who wants a chance?

Terry Hawkin wrote:That drive today went perfectly, I'm delighted with my second podium of the year, it's great to be back up here once again. I've lost my way somewhat this season, the team have struggled at some races and at times we've gone the wrong way on strategy so hopefully this marks the turning point and we can have a good run-in from here until the end of the season.

Josh Carlisle wrote:Not a great race for me, the car didn't feel great in the wet and I was struggling for traction out of corners all along the lap. I'm not giving up on the year though and I think there are better results to come yet. As for my future I hope to remain in the F2RWRS either with Falik which has been a fantastic team to drive for, or someone else.

Autosport wrote:Shioya on the brink, out for 2016

Castrol Jones Racing F2RWRS driver Hansuke Shioya's future in the series is teetering on a knife edge following a dismal performance at the Belgian GP. The Japanese driver had a superb qualifying session, starting the race in 4th, but quickly fell down the order and eventually retired with an engine problem. Following the race, team boss Sammy Jones could be seen angrily berating Shioya in the team's garage, and afterwards Jones issued this statement to the media,

"Hansuke has had a very poor race today, and the season as a whole has been largely unsatisfactory. He has failed to score points all year which has cost us massively in the teams' championship. We're looking for a marked improvement in the next two races otherwise he'll be replaced for the remainder of the year. I can already confirm that Hansuke will not be retained for 2016, and we're actively seeking a replacement for him."

So Shioya won't be retained for the 2016 season and will be replaced if results don't improve in the next two races. Jones is seeking a promising driver to partner Hawkin for 2016 who will most likely be confirmed after the Italian race, unless an offer comes in for him.

Finally some good luck for Shioya; although if wizzie hadn't made him such a crap driver in the first place he wouldn't be needing it!

EDIT: I wrote that before watching race results!  But I keep the 2nd part of the message :)

Chris Dagnall said:

Sammy Jones can say whatever he wants to; he knows his car is über crap and that's the main reason behind Hansuke's performance and nothing else. I also suspect he's a bit jealous after Mark Dagnall made a deal with another team instead his and now Shioya is being treated like he doesn't belong to the team anymore. Anyway, I can confirm that Monza will be Hansuke's last race in F2RWRS this year as he will step up as 2nd driver in the DGN for the last 4 races of the season

In order to try and catch up to the F1RWRS, I'll be running the Austrian GP later today. In order to do this, Samore Mondlane has been given the lead Beirao seat unless someone else wants the seat, mostly because I already have a performance file for Mondlane and it saves me the hassle of having to create one for a new driver.

For some reason, I actually seriously considered that for a second. Then I remembered that it's just be plain dangerous, especially when we have so many muppets in the field as it is.

Anyways, here's the first two sessions from Austria:

2015 F2RWRS BMW Austrian Grand Prix

Pre-Qualifying

With the F2RWRS following the F1RWRS to another power track in the form of the Red Bull Ring, the two Holden teams were rubbing their hands at having a potentially easy Thursday morning session getting into the main game for the weekend. Indeed, the works Holden team made it in comfortably in 2nd and 4th, and with Martin van der Maeyede topping the times, it looked like Kingfisher would follow suit for only the second time this year. That was, until Ashley Lilly in the sister car decided to be even more average than he usually is and set a time almost 8 tenths off the pace, which meant Dofasco somehow made it into the race by just 4 thousandths of a second.

1. M. van der Maeyede (Kingfisher-Holden): 1:15.275
2. C. Simpson (Young Lions-Holden): +0.044
3. J. Rueckert (Hydook-Aston Martin): +0.075
4. D. Melville (Young Lions-Holden): +0.116
5. L. Seron (Dofasco-Audi): +0.359
6. A. Buyvolov (Dofasco-Audi): +0.404

7. R. Suoto Maior (Aeroracing-Audi): +0.639
8. A. Lilly (Kingfisher-Holden): +0.767
9. T. Jason (Aeroracing-Audi): +0.816
10. E. Molinaro (Hydook-Aston Martin): +0.917

Qualifying

For the second weekend in a row, qualifying was held in very wet conditions, which made for interesting viewing for the spectators and very nervous times for the team owners, except for Melrose who wasn't present for the second weekend running. The rain eased slightly over the course of the session but even so, it wasn't enough to make a marked difference in the times between the first and second runs. Until the last two minutes. Four drivers managed to squeeze a run in just before the checkered flag, and three of those drivers ended up on the front two rows. And of those four, by far the best of them was Gregor Pascal who hauled the Gillet kicking and screaming all the way to pole position by a magnificent seven tenths ahead of qualifying king Wouter Lamberigts. Terry Hawkin and Andrej Kremnicky will line up right behind them in row two while Josh Carlisle, the last of that final quartet, will be 8th on the grid. Tommy Nash showed a rare bout of form in 7th while GRM came crashing back down after Spa with Carter Simpson just scraping into the top 10 and Daniel Melville struggling massively into the rain in an abysmal 19th.

1. G. Pascal (Gillet-BMW): 1:24.810 (1 point)
2. W. Lamberigts (RonDen-Lancia): +0.687
3. T. Hawkin (Jones-Aston Martin): +0.765
4. A. Kremnicky (Alitalia-Lancia): +0.795
5. B. van Nieuwenhuijzen (Alitalia-Lancia): +0.961
6. G. Pazzini (RonDen-Lancia): +1.112
7. T. Nash (Aston Martin): +1.125
8. J. Carlisle (Falik-BMW): +1.188
9. M. Cameron (Simpson-BMW): +1.196
10. C. Simpson (GRM-Holden): +1.529
11. T. Kazama (Aston Martin): +1.544
12. H. Shioya (Jones-Aston Martin): +1.679
13. L. Seron (Dofasco-Audi): +1.709
14. J-V. Albertini (Gillet-BMW): +1.776
15. Y. Katayama (Falik-BMW): +1.864
16. C. Lopes (Beirao-BMW): +2.173
17. A. Buyvolov (Dofasco-Audi): +2.445
18. D. Melville (GRM-Holden): +2.657
19. D. Anderson (Simpson-BMW): +2.633
20. A. Marchesi (MRT-BMW): +2.777

Like Belgium, I'll be running the race live with race start hopefully an hour or so from now on the F1 Rejects chat room. But that'll depend on how long it'll take to go down to Bunnings with dad to get some stuff to fix one of the switchboards later this afternoon.

Race start will be less than 40 minutes away on the official F1 Rejects chatroom. And for everyone's reference, another Pre-Q reshuffle will take place at the conclusion of this race should the need arise. Right now, GRM need to score four points more than Jones Racing to escape Pre-Q for the next three races.

2015 F2RWRS BMW Austrian Grand Prix
Race

Positives

Terry Hawkin - On a day where the two-stopper was the way to go due to relatively high tyre and fuel consumption, Jones Racing bit the bullet and put their star driver on a one-stop strategy. Unlike Belgium where he backed into a result with the one-stopper, Hawkin had to make it work, and make it work he did as he took his second career victory, and the first for Jones Racing as a separate entity. Even at the end when Kremnicky was catching him (before something on the car inevitably broke) and Nieuwenhuijzen tried in vain to catch him (before something also broke on his car just as he was crossing the line), the young Brit kept his head on straight and became the 8th different winner of the season.

Gregor Pascal - Everyone knows just how good Jean-Vincent Albertini is most of the time but this weekend, it was his lesser known teammate who stood up to the plate as he was in superb touch all weekend. While his start from pole position may have been a touch conservative, he kept in touch with the leaders all afternoon and was duly rewarded with a well-deserved third place, whilst also trouncing his teammate in the process.

Aston Martin Motor Racing - Who'd have thought that Tommy Nash would wake up for once and actually do something? The Canadian was having easily his best run in a long time around the Red Bull Ring, spending all afternoon in the lower points positions before the transmission seized on his car, ending his race early and showing up his more illustrious teammate in the process. Tomo Kazama meanwhile had an early technical gremlin which forced her in for an early stop. The team thought quickly on their feet and converted her to effectively a one-stopper, which vaulted her back up the order into 5th place, and 4 crucial points as she holds onto her championship lead for yet another race.

Alexey Buyvolov - Everybody from Daniel Melrose to the Plus One Group to Sammy Jones have been singing this kid's praises this year - and for good reason too. While he may have been trapped down in 17th on the grid, the young Russian showed us just why he got promoted to double-duty in the Dofasco F1RWRS team with a fantastic drive to seventh place. This was despite being the first to pit at both the pit stop phases, which meant he had to pull out some demon hotlaps to make the strategy work. In the end, he was involved in a major scrap for sixth place but while he didn't get Anderson in the end, 2 points is just reward for the kid's hard work.

Negatives

Melrose Racing Team - It was probably a good thing that Mad Uncle El Presidente was too busy ruling his Banana Republic because he would have had a fit at what he saw at Austria. At no point during the entire weekend did the team even look like scoring a point or two, except right at the end when Alessandro Marchesi caught up to the back of the mammoth scrap from 6th all the way down to 11th place. Michael Robertson in the other car was even more pointless as he spent all day trolling around the back of the field miles off the pace as he slumped to a lapped 16th place finish.

Hansuke Shioya - Why Chris Dagnall is giving this guy an F1RWRS drive over the underperforming Ron Mignolet is a mystery as, yet again, the Japanese driver was nowhere to be seen. After an average qualifying session, he spent all afternoon trundling around the midfield while his teammate was too busy winning the Grand Prix. The fact that Sammy Jones has given the former race winner just one more race to prove himself speaks volumes of just how low his stocks have lowered in the paddock over the course of this season.

Jean-Vincent Albertini - In stark contrast to Shioya, Albertini's career is continually on the up and up. After being denied his third podium of the year with a heartbreaking engine failure at Belgium, he followed it up with easily his worst weekend all year. His qualifying performance was below par and he simply went backwards from there. After a brief tussle with the hapless MRTs at the back of the field, Albertini's misery was complete when he got hit by Samora Mondlane, who was too busy recovering from an error of his own. Even though the collsion was Mondlane's fault, JVA had absolutely no right being down there in the first place and for his pathetic weekend when his teammate was coming of age, we've given him the Reject of the Race award.

We're surprised a team decided to sign her this early in the season, but we respect their decision and we wish her all the best in he future. More to the point, why did they hire him in the first place? He was dead last in F3RWRS last season!

Rueckert is now available for another F1RWRS or F2RWRS drive.

Terry Hawkin wrote:This is amazing, after Spa I said I hoped the season would pick up from here but this is just brilliant stuff. The win has really boosted me in the drivers' championship and given the team as a whole a real lift. That's two good results on the trot now, after a slow first half of the year. We need to keep this momentum up now, hopefully this won't be the last time I see the top step of the podium this year.

Sammy Jones wrote:Terry's win is bloody fantastic, it's exactly what the boys in the garage have needed and it's a great way to head into the final few races of the year. Terry's had a tough year, some people started to write him off but I've stuck by the lad, he's kept his chin up and today's result is clear evidence that he remains one of the best drivers in the field. Alitalia can blow sunshine up the arses of their drivers all day long, but the bottom line is results, and neither of them have delivered anything like the hype that surrounded them in pre-season. Shioya had another poor race, and sadly that's been too frequent this year. We'll keep him on for Italy, but after that we'll look for a replacement for the final 5 races. We need a driver who can come into the team and score points right away because with only Hawkin's points so far, we're struggling badly in the teams' championship and had we not won today we could have well slipped into pre-qualifying which would have been ridiculous.

With Shioya going up to the F1RWRS anyway, his last race for Jones will be Italy. It's costing my team too much in the team's championship to keep him on any longer. So the second seat is open for offers, just for the final five races. I'd like to extend offers to both Dan Greenlaw and Alexy Buyvolov but I'm open to all offers, except of course Voeckler! ;)

I would strongly advise Greenlaw to avoid such a career suicide move as this one.

Greenlaw will not accept, but Johannes Rueckert would like to ditch the dead weight formerly known as Enrico Molinaro that is keeping him out of the races. If not, Shane Walsh has been very good in the F3RWRS and could start driving after Italy.

21 year old Canadian Ryan Christopher is interested. He is currently leading the Indy Lights championship over in America. If he doesn't get the drive he will accept any other F2RWRS drive
