The latter closed the door, which caused both Ligiers to crash and Streiff had to finish the race on 3 wheels. Ligier almost lost two podium places due to friendly fire.
1988 - Monaco - Ayrton Senna was pushing the edge in an alleged attempt to lap his team-mate Alain Prost. His solo crash was notorious, since he was 50s+ ahead of Prost.

Didn't Irvine drive for Jordan that year? Another ones: Montoya spinning in the formation lap of the 2006 Australian GP, and Hakkinen spinning out of the 1998 Italian GP when he was dominating, ending up crying in the bushes.

There was a brilliant race, I'm pretty sure it was San Marino 1985 where barely anybody crossed the line on the last lap as everyone was running out of fuel. I remember Boutsen's arrows barely making it and others konking out before getting there. It was ludicrous. If it was that race, then that was the one where Prost got disqualified as well for an underweight car so that made it even sillier.

I am indeed. Luckily he made up for it the race afterwards... ...and I've not spotted Giancarlo doing anything like that on any grid since. Twice is quite enough for this supporter, thank you very much...

Well, there was a similar incident involving Michael Schumacher and Pedro Diniz in the last laps of the 1998 race, and it even happened in the exact same spot where Kimi would later re-enact the event with Sutil. Basically, Diniz was minding his own business when Schumi just rammed into the back of his Arrows in the chicane. In dry conditions, no less.

Basically, Diniz was minding his own business when Schumi just rammed into the back of his Arrows in the chicane. In dry conditions, no less.
and more importantly, Diniz managed to finish the lap and bring the car home in 6th!
