090420 Chinese GP Edition
G'day all,
Well, we've just posted our Chinese GP edition. Otherwise known as the 'Mark Webber Tribute Edition' of the podcast.
We cover the FIA CoA hearing, the general ensuing mudslinging, Flav's motormouth, plus the staff changes at Ferrari and McLaren, and all the race analysis that we could think of in the 3 hours after the race. Plus a GMIF1P provided by Rowan Keating, and much much less than you could have imagined.
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Jamie

Unless the podcast is less then 10 minutes long then the podcast could never be much less then I could have imagined. I am surprised on how quickly the podcast has come, I was getting withdrawl symptoms last year when podcasts merged between races.
Not even listened to the last podcast yet... still looking forward to listening to this one.
Thanks for the wonderful podcasts, may you and Enoch never stop producing podcasts.

Oooh. [Logs onto iTunes to hit sync].
Do you guys get any sort of stats from iTunes on the success of your good selves relative to other podcasts in, say, the sport section ?

How can Piquet Jr. not have any spectacular spins! For the record, I saw that he blew up a Styrofoam sign! Those signs were having a bad day by the way, (rhyme, sorry) Piquet Jr. blew up one, Sutil knocked out another and there was just one standing!

To be fair, Nelson Piquet Jr. did have one spectacular spin where he took out a styrofoam advertisement that resulted in a nice explosion of commercialism. I thought that was pretty spectacular anyway.

Regarding the lack of decent merchandise on the Brawn GP website; someone just posted this on James Allen's blog:
http://www.firewirestudios.co.uk/projec ... aster.html
Now that would be worth buying!

Where's the second deck on that diffuser? It isn't a Brawn until it's got that second deck!

Expect Flavio to protest that. And Renault's marketing people to have one for sale, shaped like and anvil, next week.
Stay home, Colin Kolles!

Hugely entertaining stuff. I've had a miserable cold this week, and this podcast cheered me up no end.

Thanks for using 'At Last' - a wonderful song. Should've used the Etta James version though...
"will you stop him playing tennis then?", referring to Montoya's famous shoulder injury, to which Whitmarsh replied "well, it's very difficult to play tennis on a motorbike"

Hey guys...I've been lurking for a long time but felt the need to break cover to answer a question you posed in the Chinese podcast. The question was 'when was the last time we saw a team go P1 and P2 on their maiden victory?' You should not be surprised to know it was only two events prior with the Brawn team going P1 and P2 in Australia. How quick we forget! Just the same, keep up the good work!

He he he, I thought the same when I heard it.
Stay home, Colin Kolles!

Indeed! Actually, when the question was posed in the forum from where we borrowed it, it was phrased "excepting Brawn...."

Mysteriously that bit failed to make it into the podcast. Somewhat embarrassing!!

Well, it was a nice thought...

Just wondering do you have a bigger picture of Piquet crashing into the 50 metre marker, can't find one on the net.
I want to this with it:
And it's a little small to act as an effective macro.
