Yes or no to Buyvolov racing for Jones Racing for the last 5 races of the F2RWRS season? Would be a great help if I know...

no, he is in my team until the end of the season, but it can start in the non-championship race in another team

Alexandre Dorval will drive the second Gillet, in order to have a Belgian presence. That is, unless Hydook decides not to let him drive.

Right, that's settled then. Johannes Rueckert will replace Shioya after the Italian GP.

Tristan, there's an offer on the table for Shane Walsh to drive at the NC races for Jones Racing if you're interested. :)

I'd also like to extend an offer to Nathanael Cameron to drive the other car.

Before you get sucked into some Ponzi scheme and lose all your money, Alitalia actually missed out on an entry after Dofasco snared the last one (Although even I'm amazed at just how quickly the entries went, especially when last year's non-championship races took three weeks to fill the final slots).

In other news, the Red Bull WRT have been allocated Aston Martin engines for the two non-championship races but are free to choose another engine for the events if they aren't satisfied with the choice. Finally, MRT are looking stateside for their second driver with our top priorities being Kenan Ardaoglu and Andrea Bianchi.

Erm, Aeroracing has an entry with Gary Pacer and, well, I don't know if Marco Bizzarri will be eligible, so you might as well find out another guy for this gig.

Having been caught out by Aerond's record-breaking pace yet again (I originally wasn't planning on doing any F2RWRS stuff this weekend as I had a lot of other stuff on), I've had to do another coin toss, this time for the second Hydook seat, which will be filled by Branko Ristic, unless Pointrox raises any objections.

For some reason, I'm not quite sure we're on the same page here. You see, your star driver (and I use that term quite loosely here) has gone to Jones Racing for the rest of the year and you're in need of a replacement. Unless you've also sacked Molinaro for the foreseeable future, in which case I'll get the fixed on the performance file right away.

As you can probably tell by now, I got extremely lazy somewhere along the line. I'll put in the race review later once I find the time and motivation to do so and if you guys want, I can use my notes and memory to let you know how your drivers went.

Also, I'm experimenting with some configurations files in order to make damage more realistic by making the cars more fragile which will be in effect this weekend at the Netherlands. If I don't feel that the results are satisfactory, we'll be reverting back to the original damage file but I think this'll help promote even more weird and wonderful results, as well as punish the Tanner Jasons of this world.

Well, he was running around at the back end of the top 10 before losing out badly in the first stop and fell off the radar after that point. And the Simpson's wasn't THAT crap considering Anderson absolutely destroyed Cameron all weekend. And yes, that is the first time anyone has said that about Anderson in the F2RWRS :P

So Molinaro qualified for his home event, only to trundle around the back in the race proper. Meh.

Interestingly enough, he was one of the fastest cars on track near the end, which led to an fascinating last lap battle with Josh Carlisle, who had followed Shioya and Nash in making the (ultimately) incorrect call to switch to inters at the second stops. Problem was he was simply too far back to do anything more of note.

Is there nothing I can do to Kingfisher? Or is it all because Ashley Lilly is crap?

Edit: I may have found something that might help. A driver can compete in F2RWRS if they have taken part in 16 or less F1RWRS weekends. Matthias Valsattis, currently in RoLFS has done exactly 16 weekends. So would there be a problem putting him in F2 and demoting Lilly to RoLFS?

Christ, why didn't I get rid of Shioya sooner? Rueckert can't come soon enough!

A couple of good results before the end of the year and I'm certain I can overhaul Baastian. I'm also looking forward to working with Johannes from the next race onwards, I think we'll form a good partnership.

To put it in context, Carter Simpson was shite, Seron got caught out by the storm, and Lilly got caught out by the storm AND had the added bonus of being shite. And there's no problem with running Valsattis in the car, but it may take a while for me to figure out how to devise a performance file for him.

2015 F2RWRS TNT Dutch Grand Prix

Pre-Qualifying

It almost seems that something has gone loose in Tom Douglas' head ever since he returned from Tropico earlier this week, as he seemed to be swearing more than a Tropican Dockworker on a bad day. And this week, he directed all of it at Matthias Valsattis, who managed to blow both his hotlaps in his F2RWRS debut which relegated Kingfisher to the realms of DNPQing yet again, despite Martin van der Maeyede's best efforts. Meanwhile, Tanner Jason was forcibly dragged kicking and screaming all the way from Switzerland all the way to Zandvoort when Aeroracing found that literally nobody that Douglas was willing to give a competition license to was willing to take the seat. The American responded with the lap of his life to go 6th, but it wasn't enough to haul Aeroracing into the main game for Saturday's race.

1. C. Simpson (Young Lions-Holden): 1:29.180
2. M. van der Maeyede (Kingfisher-Holden): +0.359
3. L. Seron (Dofasco-Audi): +0.751
4. A. Buyvolov (Dofasco-Audi): +1.057

5. E. Molinaro (Hydook-Aston Martin): +1.177
6. T. Jason (Aeroracing-Audi): +1.242
7. B. Ristic (Hydook-Aston Martin): +1.348
8. D. Melville (Young Lions-Holden): +1.496
9. R. Suoto Maior (Aeroracing-Audi): +1.664
10. M. Valsattis (Kingfisher-Holden): +1.689

Qualifying

Bizarro world started early for the F2RWRS as one Alberto Cara, having already been banned twice this year, hauled the Beirao kicking and screaming to pole position on his (second) return. Behind him, was quite possibly the most bizarre sight one will ever see as the two Dofascos suddenly found themselves 2nd and 3rd on the grid, while Daniel Melville finally decided to be useful over one lap when it mattered to go P4. Tommy Nash continued his recent run of good form to end up 5th, while on the other side of the coin, Wouter Lamberigts was a simply woeful 15th. Although that being said, the Belgian had a much better day than the likes of Jean-Vincent Albertini (17th), Yuka Katayama (19th) or Terry Hawkin (21st).

1. A. Cara (Beirao-BMW): 1:28.534 (1 point)
2. L. Seron (Dofasco-Audi): +0.109
3. A. Buyvolov (Dofasco-Audi): +0.143
4. D. Melville (GRM-Holden): +0.344
5. T. Nash (Aston Martin): +0.359
6. A. Kremnicky (Alitalia-Lancia): +0.758
7. B. van Nieuwenhuijzen (Alitalia-Lancia): +0.858
8. J. Rueckert (Jones-Aston Martin): +0.987
9. G. Pazzini (RonDen-Lancia): +1.097
10. M. Robertson (MRT-BMW): +1.153
11. C. Lopes (Beirao-BMW): +1.248
12. G. Pascal (Gillet-BMW): +1.271
13. T. Kazama (Aston Martin): +1.403
14. C. Simpson (GRM-Holden): +1.449
15. W. Lamberigts (RonDen-Lancia): +1.629
16. J. Carlisle (Falik-BMW): +1.729
17. J-V. Albertini (Gillet-BMW): +1.867
18. M. Cameron (Simpson-BMW): +1.947
19. Y. Katayama (Falik-BMW): +1.953
20. D. Anderson (Simpson-BMW): +2.086
21. T. Hawkin (Jones-Aston Martin): +2.173
22. A. Marchesi (MRT-BMW): +2.978

Before some of you guys have a stroke (AdrianSutil, I'm looking at you), normally I'd be able to get a trend of relative performance by the end of qualifying (and I know for a fact I made Valsattis much better than that). However, this simply isn't happening here this weekend and results have been virtually all over the shop. That's because usually, the difference between a driver's hotlap and in/outlaps and between sessions is a few tenths as most, unless something goes really wrong somewhere. However, here on this version of Zandvoort that I'm using, the difference is more like whole seconds with no inherent pattern whatsoever. Which probably means the race will be the most batshite insane thing either.

I don't know what you want to do for Valsattis' performance file, he was pretty poor in F1 last year but currently sits 4th in the RoLFS.

Just to clarify: from the next round onwards, at the behest of Lancia, Marcel Agyemanu-Badu will take Jason's seat. We should be getting Lancia's engines too. Sorry for not mentioning it earlier.
