No, he wants a top team or nothing. However, Prince Saeed Al Faisal would be willing to take the ride.

All right, Sunshine had a change of heart and will participate in the Le Mans NC race.

Team: Daniel Martins + Yuka Katayama (#37) / João Antonio Soares + ??? (#38)

I still have a free place, still allow James Davies to drive for Revolution and would like to invite Kay Lon for that free place, if accepted by all parties.

Since MRT is cool with it, Lon accepts.

Exactly, we didn't. Just to avoid any riots between Katayama and Davies, that is all.

Autosport wrote:Jones blasts "joke" race for lack of top talent

Sammy Jones has attacked the organisers of the non-championship F1RWRS French Grand Prix for creating a "joke" of an event with the entry list not featuring any of the top four F1RWRS teams from the 2015 season, and only four that finished in the top 10. Jones, who himself controversially declined to enter the event, has branded the race "a stain on the high reputation of the F1RWRS". In an exclusive interview with Autosport, Jones said;

"The whole event is a complete sham. I mean no offence to any of the teams lining up for the race, but bloody hell if I were a paying spectator then I'd want a refund just by looking at the entry list. Most of the drivers are rookies, half the teams are complete unknowns and none of the top drivers or teams have even given the race a moment's consideration. It makes a mockery of what is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport. It's a joke. To be honest, the only entertaining aspect of the whole thing will be watching Alitalia find a new way to cock the race up and be slower than everyone else. I guess a bit of comic relief won't do me any harm for a Sunday afternoon."

Autosport wrote:Gauthier blasts Jones for not entering French GP
Following Sammy Jones' comments on the lack of top-placing F1RWRS drivers and teams at the upcoming non-championship French Grand Prix, Guillaume Gauthier has hit back at the oft-outspoken British team boss, in an interview with Autosport.

"I do not know how Sammy Jones can continue to function. He criticises the French Grand Prix for being devoid of what he deems 'top talent', yet part of this situation is because he himself declined to enter. There is no-one else to blame for this! If the top placing teams and drivers do not want to enter a race, then fine, but you cannot criticise it when you are one of the team bosses responsible for this situation!"

The Frenchman continued, "He deems this race a stain on the reputation of the sport. I deem him a stain on the sport's reputation! Never in my life have I ever seen such spoilt, arrogant, self-centered, crude little brat. He regularly complains and moans when he isn't winning, but as soon as he is winning, everything is magically fine! He criticises the likes of Melrose, or Linari, for simply making the best of their situation and the options open to them."

Gauthier concluded, "Regardless, I am assured that the race will go on, regardless of whatever drivel comes out of Jones' mouth. It will be a good, exciting race, and we will all try our best to win, and the fans will get their money's worth. We will prove at Le Mans, that F1RWRS does not need Jones, or Melrose, or Dagnall, or McAllister. We are perfectly capable of putting on a great show without them."

Le Monde wrote:Fusion co-owner backs Gauthier's comments
Fusion Motorsports' director and Nebula GP principal Jacques Couteau has backed his countryman Guillaume Gauthier's comments regarding Sammy Jones declining to enter the non-championship French Grand Prix.

"Sammy is well entitled to his own opinion" said Couteau, "but he doesn't have to insult the integrity of some of the entrants".

"Our team, for example, has proven itself a force in the junior categories despite not having had long to build a team and run competitive cars. Sammy would do well to look at the positives rather than just complain."

"I cannot say the same for one of the teams, whose efforts to enter have been a little farcical. That said, we could never have entered if it wasn't for them frustrating the organisers."

When asked about their own chances, Couteau was a little more guarded. "Of course we've not exactly got the best pick of the engines, but we've got a pair of really strong young talents in the car. Hopefully, we can beat the other non-championship entrants, and surprise the others as well."

La Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote:Linari: Gauthier a fine addition to F1RWRS

Scuderia Alitalia team boss Alessandro Linari has praised the decision to hand the new team slot to Equipe Gauthier, after their team principal Guillame Gauthier launched a scathing attack on Jones Racing's team principal Sammy Jones.

"The French GP is a stain on F1RWRS? No, Sammy Jones is a stain on humanity," said team owner Linari. "Guillame Gauthier is one of the few team principals in F1RWRS that seems to know what the deal is around here. Right from the get go, he's understood that Jones is nothing but a petulant little child who throws his toys out the pram at every little incident that doesn't go his way."

"To say the field has no talent is just sheer ignorance. Scuderia Alitalia is running a former F1RWRS champion in the race, running two drivers who combined won the constructors title twice, and also the immense young talents that are Dan Greenlaw and Olafur Ragnar Hannesson. I'm sure that is a far better prospect than watching Jones and his army of morons turn up and ruin everything with their dour attitude."

He was however more complimentary to new paddock members Gauthier, who have signed up former Alitalia driver Benoit Voeckler as a tester for 2016.

"Gauthier seems to know what they are doing," he said. "They've signed up a very competent lead driver in Jesus Plaza. When he was at ARC he outperformned the car, and how he didn't manage to secure a drive anywhere I have no idea. Had Alitalia not already had Koczo and Spencer on our books, we'd probably have made a move even. Plus they've got a title sponsorship deal, which is always a good sign. Shioya is still a bit of an unknown though."

"Given how some of the newer teams in the sport have failed to make even the slightest step forward in their time so far in the sport, people will be sceptical of any new team that turns up from now on. But I don't think that will be the case here. I think they will be a fine addition to F1RWRS."

For the record, MRT will allow any of their drivers except for Mark Dagnall to participate in the French GP, as the Brit has a clause which allows him to skip non-championship races as he chooses. And if any of our drivers decide to be muppets and start writing other peoples' cars off, we'll pay for any damage caused by them.

I know having Pippa Mann and Ben Fleet in the same car makes sense given that they're an item, but I don't really want to risk Jordan's development possibly being weighed down by being in the same car as Douglas Mann. So, sorry about the ultimatum, dr-baker, but either pair Jordan with her, or you'll have to find a replacement for him.

I'm sick of this now. Why don't actually go through and READ the thread? This competition has a lot of interest, and henceforth a long waiting list to go with it. You cannot expect to "muscle" in and try and get a team. You have no previous interest in ANY of the RWRS competitions; you have no drivers and thus can barely claim to be a part of things. You just don't seem to be able to grasp any of this either.

This is becoming annoying; the first thing that anyone has done prior to entering this series is follow it. If they haven't followed it from the very beginning, then they've read through and picked it all up. You don't seem to have made any effort to do so.

Please start thinking a) about things before you type (I've said this before, and the phrase "fallen on deaf ears" doesn't even cover it) and b) about the other forumites who have to put up with this nonsense. If you want to wind us up further, keep doing what you're doing. If you actually want to be a part of an RWRS competition, start entering drivers in the LOWER leagues (without stupid names, thank you. I won't be hiring anyone with names from a takeaway menu) and start learning how things work.

Thank you.

Sorry about the rant, it's just getting really irritating now.

roblomas' problems here indicate that we need a "Guide to the Perry McCarthy Memorial Forum" sticky thread. :)

I never said you had to get rid of Douglas entirely, just that I wanted Jordan in the same car as Pippa.

The most annoying thing about this thread is that there are so many championships, there must be a sticky like what FMecha said.

Also this series has so many rules and some of us don't have time to understand them fully due to work or school commitments so some of us simpley don't have the time. :?

Here's the rules for F1RWRS. Different series has their own rules.

Any questions about it should be asked to the guy who runs the series. ;)
