Triple 8 will offer 800k each to Whincup and Lowndes. If the team fails to secure one of these drivers, a contract will be offered to Mark Winterbottom at 425k
This is a cool spot.

Re: F1 Rejects V8 Supercar League: Ideas & Suggestions
Well, if the Enforcer doesn't get a full drive anywhere, we'll offer him an enduro contract, but as punishment for his earlier snub we won't be paying him anything for it. If he turns us down again, we'll go to McConville.
Re: F1 Rejects V8 Supercar League: Ideas & Suggestions
Cruickshank won't raise their offer for Salo, so we'll take him for enduros only...
So, after searching through wikipedia, we'll offer the same amount ($150k) for the kiwi Kayne Scott

Ok, since I need a driver to partner Bargwanna in the regular season, and having in mind that he's the campion's champion, I'll offer the place to the one, the great, the only... Alex Zanardi. Just in case he can't be a regular, at least he could be on the special events. Same offer to Gabriele Tarquini.

J.R. Fitzpatrick from the Canadian Tire Series will be also be offered $50K after a couple impressive runs in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on road courses for the Enduros only.
Jonathan Webb will be offered $300K to drive full time.

Actually, on second though, I'll just run Jackson at the enduros, see how he gets on there and offer him a contract for 2010 if he does well enough. I assume Steven Johnson will drive for free, given that he's the son of the owner?

Indeed, that is correct.

If it wasn't already obvious, Walkinshaw will sign Steve Owen to the #24 for enduros.

Alright, Steven Johnson will drive the second car for free. I'll send an offer to Craig Baird to pair up with Jackson at the enduros, with Glenn Seton as a backup if he declines.

I'll accept the $75k for Giovanardi in the enduros.
We'll now offer $750k to Bruno Spengler, and $250k to Troy Bayliss. If one of those doesn't come to fruition, then we'll put Jack Perkins in the car.

Re: F1 Rejects V8 Supercar League: Ideas & Suggestions
Owen, Salo, Jackson, Giovanardi and PT have all been signed for the enduros. The second round of full-time driver decisions will be run later this week (Probably Thursday afternoon) but in the meantime, it's time to do part-time entries:
Each part-time team will get a flat amount of 400k each and can enter a maximum of 10 events at 10k per event. Part-time teams can either be any Racing Team in Australasia past, present or future, or third cars for some of the bigger teams. However, if the larger teams enter third cars, they will not receive the 400k and must be operated out of the team's original budget. Part-time entries are not eligible for prize money but they will be eligible for championship points.
In other news, I've figured out ways to implement car upgrades but they won't be introduced until the second half of the year at the earliest to give me time to figure out what I can change, and what I shouldn't change.

Yes you can but you'll need a car number and wait until the second driver decisions round on Thursday to see whether he'll take up the offer.

I'll also put in an offer of $250k for Russell Ingall if Murphy decides to go elsewhere and not race for his own team.
EDIT: This is assuming I'm allowed a second car to run? I just noticed that in 09 Greg Murphy Racing only ran the one car. If we can run another car I'd like #41 please.

You can indeed have a second car to run part-time but that be warned, that might just put you in the red once I finish all the calculations, so I'd say put Murph in the car rather than Ingall, in which case I'll give Murph the #51 and have Tasman revert to the #23 for the second car. You can also put Murph in the full-time car and have Dumbrell run a part-time campaign if you want.
Speaking of which, I forgot to mention this earlier but I swapped the numbers of Kelly Racing and Perkins around to reflect the fact that LP owns the #11 and #16 RECs.

Re: F1 Rejects V8 Supercar League: Ideas & Suggestions
In other news, since I'm starting to get sick of all the good talent that's being ignored, there will be no further full-time offers to drivers outside of Australia or New Zealand. I probably should have explained earlier that signing so many internationals was a massive gamble as the V8s is probably THE single hardest category in the world for a non-Australiasian driver to adapt to. Period.

I've altered my plans seeing how much good talent is out there.
As in demoting the Canadian driver J.R. Fitzpatrick to an enduro only driver (as to pursue his NASCAR efforts in the US and Canada as I think he's also got plans to run for the Canadian Tire Championship as the specs of the cars are similar and also Russell Ingall will be offered the $350K instead of Ralph Firman as the cars are a bit too different between Australia and Japan. Interestingly, NASCAR's Nationwide Series and V8 Supercars have nearly identical power and similar weight which led to my gamble on Fitzpatrick. The second full time component is Jonathon Webb and his contract is mentioned about ten posts up.

Fair call, I'll forget the second car and withdraw my offer for Ingall. If Murph decides to drive for his own team he'll be racing full time with Dumbrell as the enduro driver only (looks like I was flushing money down the toilet after all!).
If Murphy doesn't drive for us, then I'll put in an amended offer of $100k for Ingall as an enduro driver only.
If I don't get either, then it's still Jack Perkins for $50k.
Sorry about the mess!

My idea is a joint effort of the greatest men in touring cars. Let's face it, Zanardi and Tarquini are big names in motorsport, so partner them alongside Bargs (an institution not only in V8S, but australian motorsports) is like a dream team, especially in the enduro events.
Otherwise, I'll extend a contract to Greg Murphy to partner Bargs (ironically, Tasman original 2009 lineup)
Remember, it's 500K for the regular seat.

Why didn't you roll for Cam McConville? I've been saying since Round 1 that we wanted to offer him an enduro contract for Walkinshaw...

Because you haven't named a price for him up till now. But I'll give him to you right away for 35k if you want.

Premat will drive the enduros for PWR. For the first driver, I'm trying to sign Jonathon Webb.

Yeah, that'll do. 35K it is.
As Steve Owen is also backed by Autobarn, he'll drive the #10 in the enduros, so Cam will be in the #24. Because of this, I've elected to put Thommo in the #10 and The Giz in #24 for the full season.

Webb already signed for Paul Morris.

Since Zanardi seems to only be interested on the enduros, I'll give him 75k

My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.
What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

DJR will offer Craig Baird $35k to do the enduros, with the same offer passing on to Glenn Seton should Baird decline.
