Non accurate roadmap on future events:

* Chat session to answer any questions about 2016 rules (Should be this week)
* Arrangement of users who'll get the tyre manufacturer slots; and explain them the rules. (I'll try to make it for this week)
* Recalculation of driver stats (Next week)
* Decide market details (specially detailed engine manufacturer options) (Next week)
* Calculation of budgets and final market details (In two weeks time)
* Open Market (First chassis and engine, then tyres) (In about two-three weeks time)
* Decide final calendar (In about three-four weeks)
* Start Pre-Season (Final week of May-1st week of June)
* Start Season (One-Two weeks after final Pre-Season test)
Tread lightly in ARWS. Every decision might be your last.

Actually, Aerond, I noticed something not quite right with the regulations...

1.2.6 To qualify for a Reject Superlicencse in 2016, they must qualify under at least one of the following criteria:
a) Have participated in any race in the 2015 F1RWRS season;

This means drivers who did not make it past pre-qualifying or qualifying this year would be ineligible for a Reject Superlicense. Is this deliberate, or should the wording really be changed to "have participated in any race WEEKEND in the 2015 F1RWRS season"?

I would assume it is not deliberate given the presence of;
b) Have qualified for any race in the 2014 F1RWRS season

As, the consequence of a qualifying for a race is participating in said race. So I think the wording needs changed to avoid any kind of confusion...

Yeah, I agree that wording is wrong; it should say something like "Having attempted to Pre-Qualify for a race in 2015" or "Have entered an F1RWRS event in 2015"

This is the current waiting list:

2. Pasta_Maldonado (Plus One)
3. andrew
4. Nuppiz
5. Jeroen Krautmeir
6. WaffleCat
7. Ataxia
8. pi314159
9. roblomas52
10. pycku
11. Ben Purse
12. darkapprentice77

----

There's 5 slots for tyre manufacturers; I'd like Pasta, andrea, Nuppiz, Jeroen and Wafflecat show up to confirm they're available to fulfill the slots; if any don't show up I'll send a reminder in a few days and then I'll wait until the end of next week to pass the slot to the next user on the list. Manufacturer choice is by list order, so Pasta will be the first to chose the manufacturer he wants to represent, andrew 2nd and so on.

You can pick your manufacturer now if you wish (From Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Pirelli or Dunlop). Rules will be sent via PM once I have all the slots asigned.

So that means Continental will be the free tyres then, correct?

Interesting stuff, sorry for missing the chat guys, but thanks for pasting it Pasta, some interesting points made there.

I have to agree with Pasta and TMLW on the engine situation. I'm not comfortable with the engines being set at pre-determined levels based on 2015 without proper analysis being made. That said, Aerond makes a valid point that the number of variables increases this year with the changed driver statistics, as well as the tyres.

And speaking of tyres, Castrol Jones Racing have confirmed that it is likely that they will switch supplier from Goodyear, who have supplied Jones with tyres since the team were formed in 2011. Rumours that Sammy Jones has been spotted talking to Michelin representatives have been confirmed as correct, though whether a deal is in place or not remains to be seen.

Current top engines, will be better, but more expensive to develop and smaller developments
Cheaper engines will be worse at base, but cheaper to develop and more significant upgrades

I still have questions.

The Lancia engine has not existed in F1RWRS yet. However, in both F2RWRS and F3RWRS it has been at the top for peak engine power. But the Ford powerplant I used last season was the most underpowered pile of crap in the whole sport. Where will the new for 2016 Lancia engine lie in this?

Well, I can't really answer this question since I haven't prepared the stats yet. But those things will also be taken in consideration. However, don't expect to have a top engine just because F2 and F3 Lancia engines are top of the pops.

Yes, because out of all the Pre-Q brigade we had the best chassis and best drivers. You could see at Macau and Fuji, that with even a midfield engine, there would have been several points on the cards that year.

Re: F1RWRS -- 2015 Season - ROTY voting!!!

Post by Aerond »

Ok, now we've got there; it's time to nominate your ROTY!!!

Just vote your 3 candidates giving 3, 2 and 1 points each (the most the better). Team manager votes will be taken in account the most, but other users can vote as well, as well as I deserve the right to change the final positions. Team managers CAN`T give points to their own teams/drivers. So I can't vote anything related to DGNgineering, Dagnall, Shioya or Scott for example.
Voting will end at Sunday midnight, and results will be published inmediately afterwards
Tread lightly in ARWS. Every decision might be your last.
