I think I understand almost everything there.
Some time between 2014 and 2019 Robert Kubica will make a comeback to F1 and race for Ferrari.
He will also, during this time, set the lap record for a classic circuit that has reappeared on the venue, the hugely dangerous Nordschleife.
What I do not understand is, are we still using the internet in 2020?
I don't buy that the http://www.formula1.com website will still be in use or the entire www for that matter.
By then, we should all be able to just close our eyes and watch the races from inside our eyelids, by using built-in HD screens.
We will also have flying automobiles.

Also, even if we're still using the internet and watching the races on TV, why would FOM suddenly revert to the pre-2010 on-screen display?

Because it's better than the stuff they're using now?

Does GP2 still do those oval things with the rounded ends? I know they did in 2012. F1 should totally use those.

Never hire Edvard Munch to scout talent for your F1 team.
Some say he plans to put an S921 on the Goodwood 2012 run, and that he DOES know what Deletraz is doing.
All we know is...he's called Perry McCarthy!

What I'm more confused about is the fact you can apparently brush near 240,000 km/h and STILL only make a lap in about six minutes.

Well, the extremely long straight at the end and the fast sweeps at the start of the Nordschleife charges the speed up.

That is about right, actually. The combined circuit length as shown there is 25.947 km. Doing that in 6 minutes 31.742 equals 238.445 km/h. I have no idea where they got the 239 figure from, but it's not that far off. For the record, the lap record of that configuration is 8 minutes 18.832, in a BMW Z4 GT3.
