I thought it would have been during the late 60s, when there weren't too many about, but after a bit of rummaging I think it was the 1958 German Grand Prix.

Was it that the BBC (presumably that weekend's host broadcaster) refused to broadcast the qualifying, because of Alan Jones' Surtees, Durex sponsorship? Or is that the race I am thinking off?
