Regarding the underlined bit, Ferrari were suffering from particularly high wear on their rear tyres at France 2000. IIRC I think it was a setup issue. Which probably assisted DC famous overtake on M Schumi. Can't remember who the other car DC overtook in that race was, but I have a feeling it was Rubens in the other Ferrari.

So although it may be true that, Ferrari contributed towards their own problems, if indeed it was a setup problem that caused their high wear on their rear tyres. I also wonder whether those overtakes DC speaks of can really be considered overtakes 'in anger'. Since M Schumi's Ferrari was surely handicapped by worn rear tyres? Just putting this out there...

It was Barrichello. I think Schumi chopped DC at the start and he slipped behind Barrichello, making it a Ferrari 1-2. He got past the two with proper overtaking maneuvers, also famously giving Schumi the bird.

François Chamballand I believe. He had a part in the design and build, but there were loads of others involved too I believe. From French drivers, heads of state, journalists, government and sponsors.
